Both partners putting in concerted effort to do nice/thoughtful/romantic things during an established relationship is not chasing, it’s maintenance. This isn’t at all universal. An alarming of women take the “I’m the prize” mentality super seriously and they don’t do anything thoughtful or romantic let alone often enough to maintain the relationship.
