Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I'll give it a couple more days and try for the date

If you're gonna look like Christian Bale in the Machinist, you should probably keep bulking but cut the calories down a bit--you shouldn't be putting on a ridiculous amount of fat if you're bulking right. Other than that, I just follow the old rule of "bulk till you hate yourself, cut until you hate your life." You're going to have to figure out your own goals, though.

I was doing strength training for years, and only just now added volume. It helps a lot for aesthetics. I would mix it up and add volume in at the end--started using the machines, too, when I'm done with the free weight sets. But your biggest problem seems to be that you likely bulked too fast. Assuming you're getting enough protein to build up your muscle, I'd say go for slower weight gain--I weigh out my food. Rippedbody.jp has a very good manual explaining the bulk/cut cycle.

Yeah, I'm not understanding this pacifist stance, either. I mean, don't lose frame and make a decision you'll regret, but not every situation calls for amused mastery. It's not even some vestigial white knight–defending-a-woman's-honor thing—the same logic would apply if someone insulted your father.

Yeah, I use flux, too. If light's an issue for you, aside from dimming everything at night, I'd recommend a light therapy box for morning--I have a light therapy light that clips to my hat and just wear it for a half hour when I wake up. It looks retarded, but I can finally keep regular hours like a normal person.

But if these noncommittal types stop signing up for my gym, then I might actually have to fork over some real money to make up the difference. No, better to make people feel ridiculous.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
