Had a similar situation with an ex-boss. When confronted by the next level of management up I simply said 'prove it', knowing of course that it couldn't be done with any objective set of information. Case closed.

I think "Did he hurt you that bad when he jilted you for another woman?" would work.

Girlfriend? Pffft. Treat her like any bully.

Tough to read through all the comments here and there are a lot of good ones. If the man genuinely wants the child and the woman does not, in the interests of a mutual agreement, the only claim the man might be making on the woman is for her to endure the discomfort of pregnancy and the pain of childbirth (which can be mitigated), if he is willing to fully support the child post-birth. The woman should be willing to surrender any rights to the child and should be under no obligation for support …

Even among lesbians?

The risk of life and health, while quite real, is the exception to a pregnancy, not the rule. In any case, it is a risk that the mother knows about in advance, which is known in addition to the normal and customary discomfort of pregnancy and pain of childbirth. These are not valid reasons for excluding the father from the decision whether to terminate or carry to term. If there were an actual and imminent risk of life to the woman in a given pregnancy, any reasonable man, and most abortion laws…

Indeed. No person should have 'veto' power over someone, compelling them to sacrifice a not small portion of their earnings to support a child they did not want to come to term. It is in effect the same principle.

I'm struggling with this as well. It would seem quite a bit odd if a man did the same thing, most especially if he's not family. Call me a chauvinist but men and women are different in some regards and this might be one of them. I don't think I agree that men and women should be judged equally here.

This has been a matter of contention between men and women since men and women were invented. But it's a matter of common courtesy; I personally don't think that it rises to a level requiring management intervention.

Would it be out of line to suggest she gets half the shots to the dome as well, retroactively?

That guy showed some guts. Speaking truth to so-called power. I would say he had balls at the risk of seeming....sexist.

Damn I'm jealous. I had that chance >10 years ago and was stuck in blue pill mentality (this was long before it / MGTOW was a named thing) at that time. Too ignorant to realize there was another way.

I wouldn't push MGTOW as a concept per se, but would do all I could to get him to take his time / refrain from jumping back into a relationship - a year is not untypical after a divorce. Learn to stand on his own two feet emotionally. That is, in essence, a man going his own way. I speak from experience.

As a matter of fact you could do me a karma solid by swearing out an affidavit that she assaulted you. That would get her out of the house. Have the cops come to the house, put the cuffs on her, have her do the perp walk, request a restraining order, the whole bit. Win win for us my friend.

Be very careful. Consult your lawyer for sure. If she files a spurious assault / domestic violence charge against you, you're out on the street, likely w/ a restraining order. Women are coached to do exactly this sort of thing. I speak from experience.

OK agreed but this story still made my day. Maybe it should be crossposted in r/ProRevenge. Edit: spelling

And I'm guessing she is or will be running against the wall, Real Soon Now. It will be good to be a spectator for that. Live your life. Pursue your dreams and goals, which of course exclude that or any woman - that will be the best revenge.

Nice sentiment, but that aforementioned constitutional right to free speech is in the process of being de-balled, sadly. Used to be, paraphrasing James Madison, "I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." Nowadays they'd just as soon see to your death, figuratively speaking, than defend you. To whit: Alex Jones, Colin Kaepernick, Edward Snowden....

Coulda got that sorted right off the top by politely asking / suggesting 'we're splitting this, right?'....if true to form she'd have balked / walked and he'd have his answer.

The key IMHO is that you know and have stated clearly what you want: "I want out". Proceed to go after that want, with all due haste. If you came here looking for validation, you didn't have to do. In any case it seems you got the green light. Get after it, man, and move out smartly. Edit: Grammar

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
