"Where exactly can you find someone in the real world anymore?" = my life is split between my crappy job, my kid, and the other crappy moms and their crappy kids on our crappy playdates. I do nothing productive in my spare time and don't understand the first thing about where to meet a quality partner. Like most young, single mothers, I just spend all day on my phone or computer. "If you want to know anything just ask" = the telltale lazy sign of someone who has no hobbies or interests. Just bec…

"I hate this site" = I've had no luck on here and am projecting my dissatisfaction. Gee I wonder why? "Do not send me disgusting messages." = because I get them all the time from guys because that's the impression I give off to them. "I know what I want in life and am working towards it" = this whole paragraph is all about independence. She's advertising her single mother warrior badge of honor. What's she working towards is someone with money and a career. Next two paragraphs are about physical…

Good point. Nurses like this have a major ego problem and need to qualify themselves because they’re insecure. Avoid this one (if it wasn’t obvious already).

In my experience, nursing (in Canada) attracts two kinds of women: 1) they went into nursing because it’s a solid career (if you bust your ass and work overtime you can clear 100k), and you get paid pretty well out of school. It’s a stable job and you can also work basically wherever you want. Hours can be crappy, but that also depends on what line of nursing you want to go into. They view nursing as a way to help people, and these girls are likely in a committed relationship through uni and bey…

Yeah for sure - and this isn’t solely a knock against females in academia - guys suffer the same condition (at least the ones who stay insulated with the ivory tower). Like every work environment; there are good and bad examples of each. Finding female grad students on dating apps tended to self select, though. There’s a reason they’re still 29, “educated”, and single. You may get lucky and snag an attractive one who is fresh out a relationship that imploded for various reasons, but the vast maj…

From my experience going out with girls doing Ph.D’s and even Master’s degrees, they had a few difficulties to overcome: 1) they were career students that weren’t exposed to a lot of guys outside their academia bubble. Really made their views of the world arrogant; they thought they were right about everything. 2) they had a very specific list of what they wanted in a guy (this chick is no exception) because again, they perceive themselves as very smart, therefore they think they had it all figu…

Based on her description probably something in STEM.

This really cool study came out that looked into the causal effects of why married men earn more. It had nothing to do with “the marriage”. It was because the type of guys that are primed to earn more (educated, attractive, charismatic, etc.) were better marriage material. Also explains why they live longer when compared to single men - it’s more genetic/lifestyle/income level than anything. Marriage has fuck all to do with it.

One thing that was missing from the older one’s assessment of men on the dating market was a comment on the men NOT on the dating market. Why else is she having such a hard time to find someone (at 41 nonetheless)? It’s because all of the quality guys are already married - leaving her with the last picks in the draft. She’s got a choice to make: 1) keep thinking that a great guy is going to come along (not going to happen unless she trades bodies with the 22 year old Freaky Friday style); 2) acc…

Except the fact that female lions do all of the work in terms of hunting - not to mention they hunt in packs like wolves. This analogy doesn’t really hold up. Plus the fact that most cats (like crocs) are solitary ambush predators...just like crocodiles. And hunters absolutely kill crocodiles...there are crocodile skin products for a reason. Did you do any research before typing this?

Vulnerability is not the same as neediness. It all depends how you frame your words/actions. It’s the same problem people have when they conflate being kind with being nice. The former does not equate to having people walk all over you; the latter does.

The obstacle that stops so many guys is that they're conditioned to think that the first kiss has to be "romantic". It's the Hollywood brainwashing we've all gone through. Just kiss her - no girl gives a fuck about the first kiss unless you suck at it, and even then it's not even that big of a deal.

Your interpretation of the 80/20 rule is incorrect. Essentially it's 20% of X is responsible for 80% of Y. So when you say that the top 20% of men are entitled to the top 80% of women; that's comparing the same variable, and it's not entirely correct, plus the "top" 80% would include a lot of low quality women (almost a third of the bottom 50%). Anyway, what it should be is that 20% of men have 80% of the hook ups. The remaining 20% of hook ups are left to the bottom 80% of men to scrap over. If…

This. No concrete advice. No insight. Just a bunch of not-so-subtle bragging about your modelling career.

You're just the little fish in the big pond again. Being a freshmen is tough because you haven't had time to establish some social status yet. Give it time. Get involved in some clubs, a frat, or anything else that has a variety of students in it. I started out the same way, but by my senior year I had created a solid reputation because I had a lot of friends in different clubs and social groups. Right now, just try to be THAT guy. Host parties, get people on your floor in res together for socia…

It's a waste of time. I kept up a profile as a time killer to meet the few attractive girls who just didn't do the bar thing. I'm in a big student town, and having recently graduated, it's tough meeting a lot of new girls unless you're a student as well. I work as a nightclub photographer in my spare time, so it's pretty easy for me to meet girls at work because of my status there. I'd get girls messaging me saying that they recognized me from the club, so the point is: have online dating as a "…

Tinder doesn't work unless you have an attractive face and/or body. Also have a defining feature, because even then girls have a tough time agreeing on what's attractive or not. It's honestly not effective for that many people. Just because you can talk to someone, most girls do it for attention and validation, but they'll never actually meet up with you, let alone bang you. If you're not at least an 8 and super interesting/socially connected, forget it.

50% of biology undergraduates might be female, but as soon as get into the masters/phd realm, the population is predominantly male. Why? Children. Women need to take time off from their research to have kids at some point, while men do not. Getting an undergrad degree in biology is not the same as becoming a full professor who runs a research lab having worked countless late nights to get there. That's like saying because 50% of business graduates are women, than why aren't 50% of CEOs women? Th…

Your suit is definitely fused as well. Just because there is stitching on some parts of it, doesn't mean it's not fused. The arms are likely glued to the body. Hugo Boss suits are shit quality (they're fused) compared to their cost. Usually a suit made by a place like J.Crew, Brooks Brothers, or Club Monaco will not be fused, yet will cost around the same if not less than a suit by Hugo Boss (and will likely be canvassed). Anything more than 1.5k is a safe bet for a suit.

Mockingjay Part 1 is being released mid November, so this move was deliberate. It gives Jennifer Lawrence tons of public exposure and gets everyone talking about her again...just in time for the movie.

I went to one of the top private schools in Canada, and I agree wholeheartedly with this. From 9th grade onwards, we were brought up to be the best. Achievement was constantly celebrated, and the environment was highly competitive. Students' academic standing was posted each term, so you knew who the top gunners all were. We were required to do a sport each term to keep fit, and a big part of my school's educational experience was learning how to be a great outdoorsman, which I consider one of t…

Interesting read. I watched the TED talk and agreed that it doesn't really tell you much aside from the effect that music might have on people.

Couldn't have said it better myself. We think social status can be bought with a few possessions, but this only conditions men to hide behind all the flashy gadgets and toys. Men waste their time, our most valuable commodity, to gain money to pay for other commodities that provide diminishing returns. I'm glad TRP teaches that we should invest our time in improving ourselves, which can only benefit in both the short and long term.

Pretty good example of why men today need to look out for one another. Gunmen are a sensitive subject, and the media mostly loves to lay the blame on guns or misogyny. Similar to the themes that Mark Manson was getting at with his write-up on school shootings.
