I was at a gay bar once in nyc a few years ago. It’s a a small, tiny bar with one bathroom. Wouldn’t you know it that some random female walks into the bar and makes a b-line for the ONE bathroom and locks the door behind her. She was let in by the ONE female worker at the door (because inclusivity). Not joking, she held up the ONE bathroom for at least 15 minutes!! There was a line of men waiting, even though there is a stall and a toilet in the bathroom to prevent situations like this. But of …

Good for him getting some justice. I honestly always hope for a man to deliver my food. This just gives me more of a serious reason, other than just NOT having my very clear instructions and pictures followed. SMH This is horrible that this happened, but I’m not surprised. 🤬😤

I was sexually preyed upon openly by at least 3 aunts. It’s disgusting and deplorable and other aunts even witnessed it and didn’t do anything about it, neither did my mother. To this day, I don’t feel comfortable around women. They think that they can do anything they want and touch anyone they want and it’s acceptable. As an adult, now I let them know that they don’t have permission to touch me just because they feel like it. It’s a horrible world we live in that allows this and women never fa…

Personally, I’m pro-life. There are so many preventative measures that can be taken beforehand. 1- getting tubes tied, 2- birth control pills, 3- spermicide, 4- condoms, 5- morning after pill…. The list goes on. I’m sure there’s more. None of these alone are 100% guarantee. But, if multiple steps are taken by someone who knows they don’t want to procreate, I don’t feel like there should be a need for such extreme choices. I also think that the fathers shouldn’t be excluded in the pregnancy, sinc…

It’s so stupid and discriminatory…. Children should be protected and when they aren’t it’s always a tragedy. But other than that, It’s the definition of female privilege. I hate whenever this is said. Smh 🙄
/r/MensRights10/07/24 07:19 AM

I prefer men as medical caregivers. As someone who was sexually preyed on by women as a boy, it’s not fair or right that I should have to be subjected to further trauma by being naked in front of them as an adult. I hated having female nurses take photos of me nude when I went to see certain specialists. It’s traumatic and I won’t put myself through that again. I definitely prefer men/male doctors/nurses.

Thank you!! So she just admitted to being a pedophile to the object of her “attraction”!! Of course, she didn’t think twice because it’s acceptable in our society for “women” to be pedophiles. It’s “funny” to them. Haha double standards haha 🙄🙄🙄 She’s a fucking predator!! Good for him saying that because otherwise she would’ve continued thinking he was “cool” with it like teammate boys are “supposed” to be… smh ugh she makes me sick to my stomach!! 🤮🤮

Bs- this is how they want all boys and men to be…. Mindless slaves of that gender. Hell no!! I’m glad I broke free of that brainwashing!! I’ve had multiple bosses try to MAKE me carry their bags/boxes and move tables/desks abusing their authority of course! They can go fuck themselves!! It did not end well for them and they quickly learned that they couldn’t pull that sexist bullshit on me! Glad I don’t work for them anymore and I’m doing much better now!! 😁😁😊😊

So, it sucks being a man these days confirmed of course. Not surprised. I’m just surprised the US isn’t higher. It really sucks being a man in the US. I’m also impressed by the low rates in places like the UK and China and Brazil. I’ve already been thinking about moving to South America. Italy looks pretty good too. Thank you for sharing! This just helps me by confirming my suspicions about this country and how men feel living here. Smh 😩

I’ve gotten many yeses on dating apps and matches. It doesn’t always mean anything at all. These guys never even message. I bet swiping must feel like a game on your phone for some people lol they forget that there is an actual person on the other end and that you should actually get to know them! lol It’s not about swiping, it’s about connecting and actually having conversations. /r/MensRights24/03/24 03:09 AM

I have a unique perspective here. I am homosexual. But, I am also a decent single man here. I face my own struggles with dating. Ironically, some of it has to do with how sexually promiscuous I find gay men to be. I am looking for something deeper. But, this has more to do with the culture these days in my opinion. Nevertheless, us decent single men do exist. It’s hard out here I know, I guess we shouldn’t lose hope though, right? 😩

I’m so sorry to hear that happened to you. I was touched by my aunts inappropriately and nobody cared. I found out my first college roommate was rapped by his aunt. It’s horrible how often this shit happens to boys and men. The state of this world is so sad and tragic. Smh 😩😔

I have to disagree. My experience with gay guys as a gay guy myself has been a lot of cattiness and talking shit behind each other’s backs. We call it throwing shade. lol It isn’t exactly a nice warm atmosphere, but a lot of backhanded comments and half-insults. On a serious note, I actually haven’t been accepted by many gays at all and have experienced a lot of exclusion by gays. I didn’t feel camaraderie. Ironically, I find straight men much more accepting of me and have had great friends that…

I really want to highlight the fact that in my experience women love to show up to work to chit-chat or socialize. It’s a huge factor in the work they do and the fields they dominate from my view… Social services, counseling, teaching, etc. I’ve even personally witnessed a woman get hired for a tech job and then get fired quickly after for distracting the other techies with idle chit-chat. I think it’s a part of their dna to want to sit around and talk all day. Again, I’ve witnessed this first h…

I’m honestly the same way. I’ve cut them out of my life and realized that I have a lot less drama in my life. I can’t deal with the constant need for attention and compliments! Men don’t trip over themselves looking for me to compliment their looks. Even randomly in my apartment building, I noticed that all women I pass by try to make eye contact with me and go out of their way to stand next to me or try to engage in conversation. I don’t get any of that from the men. If anything, the men here g…

I’ve realized this about myself too. I’m glad you had an epiphany. The only person to ever call me ugly was a girl. The only people to ever call me beautiful were actually men. That’s been my experience. Wanted to share that. Interesting huh? 🤔

Exactly!! I’ve been thinking this too! How is it that they can decide for a man whether or not their “shared” child lives or dies, then potentially force men to give child support after a decision they weren’t even a apart of making?!! It’s fucked up!! It’s never happened to me, but I feel for the men that get trapped by pregnancy they never asked for and have to literally “pay” the price. Smh 😩

This is the problem! I actually was seriously thinking of starting a nonprofit devoted to uplifting boys and young men to provide them with mentorship and guidance. They soo desperately need it, as we all know! But, this example is the reason why something like that would never be successful or last too long. I probably couldn’t even get funding for it! Smh Every program I’ve even heard of that started off serving only boys eventually caved and opened up to “all”. For example, I heard from a par…

We are absolutely falling through the cracks. I don’t need research to tell me that because I work in the industries mentioned. I’ve worked in the education system and the psychology industry. I also worked in nonprofits as well. I was the minority in all of these sectors as a man… overwhelmingly!!! I witnessed firsthand how girls were given preferential treatment for basic things like being selected for field trips in schools by female staff, having confidential “girl groups” after school while…

Let’s not also forget whenever there is a bug or small animal like a rodent in the office, who’s always the one looked to for disposing of the Animal?? A man! The man has to crush the bug or rodent or whatever… all they do is just run around and scream and yell at us to get it! Smh 🙄
/r/MensRights18/06/23 02:27 AM
4

Exactly!! I’ve lived through this twice!! Mind you, it’s always an office where there’s only about 2 men to 10. But it’s accepted by them all and it’s soo annoying watching them just sit there looking as guys break their backs to do tasks that would’ve taken no time at all if everyone pitched in. I got ordered to move tables and desks and lift boxes. Eventually I just stopped. I’m no one’s slave! Move your own damn furniture! That’s equality! Smh 😤🙄

Women by far still benefit from affirmative action more than blacks even. As a black man, Ive worked for a company before run by women for women and all about women. I never received even a decent raise, let alone a promotion there after 4 years. I’ve done more to bring value to this company than anyone and have had to cover the messes for many women who were in roles they never should’ve been in at all. Also, I got shot down for an internal lateral move that i was overqualified for because ther…

I hear you about young boys. I am a certified school counselor and purposefully started an “anger group for young boys”, as no one addresses the mental health issues young boys deal with. Managing emotions at a young age when you are taught to not express them or talk about them takes a real toll. I’m happy to say that my group was very successful and it reduced the number of behavioral incidents in the young boys at that school. Go figure, all someone had to do was care about them enough to lis…

It shocks the shit out of them that I don’t talk with a lisp and hug and hang all over them…. Lol smh I hate their drama and I don’t entertain it. Wow that’s a good point about boys going through intense introspection growing up. It’s so true since we don’t have anyone to actually guide us and mentor us. We have to figure everything out ourselves. Male bonding is shunned socially, so we have to rely on threads like this to compare notes. This is especially the case since we don’t any male-only safe spaces anymore. It’s sad.

Social media can be the worst culprits of fostering the worst sides of humanity and perpetuating toxic cultural norms. I’ve seen it myself with some of the groups on Facebook too. I deleted mine years ago and I’m happy I did.
/r/MensRights10/05/23 01:25 PM

Well, I tend to think much higher of Japan than the US on many social issues in general. This just confirms my thinking on this matter. Social conditioning indeed! Thank you for sharing! I’m sure your son is adorable as well. 😊

You’re absolutely right man! Kids are some of the funniest and smartest young people and I enjoy working with them as well. I wish the prejudice would go away all together! 😫
/r/MensRights06/05/23 05:19 PM

Trust me, I am a certified school counselor. I saw this and experiences this prejudice firsthand. All of the women in the building can hug and kiss the kids as much as they want. No one thinks anything of it or they smile. When I hug a kid all eyes are on me…. And it’s not a look of joy it’s of suspicion. Smh It’s disgusting to think that we as men aren’t “allowed” to show affection towards children without it being affiliated to a potential crime. Smh I hate it! I love kids too! It’s such a sha…

A lot of great points! Especially the part about if we win they somehow lose. It’s so antagonistic. This line being drawn in the sand making it seem like there’s some eternal battle of the sexes is old and tiresome. Hating us only incites more hatred. It’s a shame that we have to come to this group just to actually have our voices heard. Smh But I’m very happy we have it! Thanks for sharing man.

Exactly! Usually, they are sitting down chit chatting of course, a favorite past time. Just watching us break our backs, even if there are more of them in the room than us… which is always the case in schools. I used to work for schools as well. So I feel your pain, literally, and my back does too. 😫

I was too sadly. Women abused me and sexually harassed me growing up. No one did anything, not even my own mother, who also abused me. She treated me more like a pet, than a person. So I have the same mindset honestly. I’m sorry this happened to you. What really sucks for me is that it’s still happening, except now it’s happening in the workforce. The bullying and abuse of power. I’ve had many women as bosses who abused their power to assert their selfish views of what a man is useful for in the…
