genital mutilation? As in circumcisions? Because that is a medical procedure carried out for HYGIENE purposes (the more skin down there the more likely the risk of infection) as a opposed to removing a woman's clit which is to remove her sexual autonomy and has no real health benefits. Men who are circumcised can still bust a nut lol. You can't really criticize these without considering their male counterparts. In 1991, you have American Psycho, a book which largely focuses on torturing and killing women. And even back to the 1700s with Marquis de Sade, and author whose work was so violent and nasty towards women the term sadism was coined from his name. I can promise you none of the books above are half as graphic in the way they treat their male victims.
