Damn, I knew it was coming to replace us humans in our jobs, and even our hobbies, but now it's going to replace us in our relationships too?

That's why I agreed her that her point was valid, but not as valid as she assumes. It's only going to make a difference if the guy is hot to begin with, and this is where I said her point could be valid. If a guy started out unattractive, and got nothing, being bald isn't going to feel any different to before. So you may as well get straight to the point and take a drug where decreasing your libido is the goal, not one for hair loss. Also, it is ridiculous to say if a guy is going bald he "gets …

We're not always "terminally shy shut-ins". If you really are as unattractive as you claim to be, and you think that is the only other possibility, and "nothing else", then I have no idea what some of us are doing wrong.

Your point is valid, but not as valid as you think it is, and I think you're being a little disingenuous to the point I'm trying to make. Also, on top of that, I had gorgeous hair until my early thirties. I'm 41 and bald and get as much action as I did when I was young and had hair, which is none. So hair might make men more attractive, but for a lot of men, if you start a out as a four or below anyway, it's not really something to bother with. If you're a 7 and start going bald, and don't mind …

Five points? Holy crap. Talk about absurdity, going into the minus region for attractiveness, nobody is that ugly, not even Davros. Even bald women don't lose that many points for me. I go to maybe a 2 or a 3, which in this day and age, isn't really much different to a 4. Anyway, so my argument is: a) Have no libido, but be more attractive. But with no libido, who needs to be more attractive? b) Have a libido, but be unattractive. But if you're unattractive, who needs a libido? Both options canc…

And why would I care about being bald if I'm unattractive anyway? Razors are cheap, at least I'm saving money on conditioner and haircuts and can do Picard impersonations.

Yes, but they help, that was the point of my analogy.

True, but that doesn't mean it doesn't help. Gyms, creatine and protein powders are not prerequisites for being in good shape.

Oh, don't worry, I always have. I think it's a decent portion of the various reasons I'm a 40 year old virgin.

No filming, male or female. I see guys doing it just as much as women, women probably just get more views.

Yeh right. I'm a 40 year old, 5'10, 185 pound totally bald guy with a retail job, and I rate myself a 4. Most of my friends would probably give themselves a similar rating. And I doubt I would be able to pull my looks match, not that I try anymore.

Oh great, so I rate myself a bit below average, but this means I'm actually ugly.

Hmmm, I'm probably not as familiar with entertainment as I was, last Marvel movie I saw was Age of Ultron, so perhaps I'm not in a place to comment. I seem to see an equal amount of sexy male and female characters who are pretty boring outside of how they look, but like I said, I'm pretty behind entertainment-wise. I've only seen one F&F movie. Anyway, I thought the Thirteenth Doctor, like the Twelfth, was generally liked, but not the main showrunner who produced and largely wrote the series at …

I'm not sure I agree with the second paragraph. You have Ripley from Aliens, the Thirteenth Doctor, Scully from the X Files, and I'm probably showing my age here. Sure, plenty of women characters are expected to show some skin, but also plenty of great and acclaimed women characters that don't show their assets all the time. Same goes for men, nobody expects Peter Capaldi to take his shirt off as the Doctor, but Henry Cavill would probably not get the acclaim he does if he never took his shirt o…

Groan. Knew I would see a take like this. Whenever something like this comes up, women will look and say it's the man's fault, while men will look at this and say it's the woman's fault. If the men who blame women were women, they would blame men. If the women who blame men were men, they would blame women. Sexual tribalism.

Only silly people think this doesn't work both ways. She would be doing the same as Quasimodo, and following that Phoebus guy around instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 08:59 PM

I dunno, but I always feel validated if I find out a woman is attracted to me, but probably because it hardly ever happens, haha.

If they enjoy hiking or are a musician, or both, that can make a huge difference in my level of attraction.

Not a woman, but to let you know, I play regular guitar, and personally I find bass harder. When I record songs I sometimes just put a bass effect over me playing single notes on an electric, because I find it so much easier, haha. My friend finds bass easier, but he has big jumbo fingers.

I disagree. Here's how I think it works: The top sexiest men (part of the top 20% or 30%, or whatever) who want "a variety of vaginas" will get what they want, and as a result, remain on the market. The top sexiest men who want relationships will get what they want, and as a result, will leave the market. The unsexiest men (part of the bottom 20% or 30%, or whatever) who want "a variety of vaginas" will not get what they want. They will turn into misogynistic incels, and come on here and complai…

Sheesh, you're right, and "everyone dies in the end"... this person could just say that to absolutely anybody in any situation, it's such a pointless argument because death goes without saying, and therefore adds nothing to this conversation. "Oh, this person to my left rescues puppies due to a sense of obligation. This person to my right tortures them for fun. But they are both going to die in the end, so it doesn't matter either way, therefore I am incredibly wise and have won all possible arg…

I'm 38 and I've never been on a single date, never kissed. What's holding me back isn't me holding on to my sadness. My sadness and lack of dating are symptoms, they have the same root cause as my other issues. The root cause is mainly childhood trauma that I was never given the opportunity to resolve. So it isn't necessarily us wanting the world to change because we never had any romance. We're more likely angry at the circumstances that have caused us not to advance in life in many ways, roman…

People can be sad about something without dwelling on it. Not everyone who is sad makes demands on the world to change. People can talk about sadness without being judged or told to "just get over it". You can have empathy for those who have sad experiences that you don't share with them. Don't get me wrong, I don't appreciate what the OP said, but I don't appreciate your angle either.

In my experience, people who go around saying "too bad, so sad", never say it when they are the ones who are sad about something. Just others. And that goes for men and women. Narcissism, I suspect.

I do think it is a bit if both, but there is more to it. 38 year old virgin here. Video games and porn aren't for me, they just don't work. I hike, bike, go to the gym, I am a musician, and have plenty of women friends. The problem me and my circle of guy friends have is out low self-esteem, from a mix of modern society, parents, and also our religious pasts, telling us what pieces of shit we are for being human, what bad children we were, and also telling us how bad all men are.

The way I see it, the biggest winners were attractive guys and average women. The biggest losers were average guys, and the unattractive people, both guys and girls. I think it remained roughly the same for attractive women. I could explain my reasoning if anyone is interested. So... Winners: Attractive men, average women. Least change: Attractive women. Losers: Average men, unattractive women, and unattractive men.

It's good that you're honest, but at the same time I am somewhat disturbed, because if lots of people actually do think this way, wouldn't it mean lots of people will end up alone or in soft harems? There aren't that many super hot people around are there? Although it helps to explain why, as an unattractive man, I have still never been in a relationship at the age of 38.

Would have thought it would be due to just one of these four things... They themselves are fat. They don't care. They are desperate. They have fancy for the large ladies.

Because women on here always agree with women. Then again, the men always agree with the men. Kind of pointless discussing anything sometimes.

Nah. Attractive men have it better than attractive women. Average women have it better than average men. Ugly men and ugly women both have it worse than the rest.

Guy, 38, INTP/ENTP (I'm a sort of shy extrovert, or maybe an outgoing introvert). Was always somewhere in between the blue pill and red pill, not that I knew what those were. Last few years I became more of what I call sangria pilled (in between red and black). Why? Because I realized, due to both personality and looks, that I was, or at least became, one of those guys women don't really want. I also realized that there were lots of others (mostly men, but quite a lot of women too) that, like me…

Nope. You got the first two right. But 3 and 4 are around the wrong way, and 5/6 should be merged. 1: Attractive men. 2: Attractive women. 3: Average women. 4: Average men. 5: Unattractive people.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 07:31 AM

Totally subjective response here. I don't do either. I have a decent job. I hike, gym, bike, play guitar, sing and record music. Those are my hobbies. Not porn and video games. But women don't, and never have, wanted me. I know personally, been friends with, and have hung out with, guys who do porn and lots of video games, who have no trouble with women. As far as I can tell, this "guys who can't get women, oh they just watch porn and play video games all day, and expect women to come to them", …

It goes further than that, with the doubles standards... Male who gets around: Sexy manly awesome dude. Woman who gets around: Slut!!! Woman virgin: Sweet little angel. Male virgin: Creepy incel!!!
