| 1 | Marriage shouldn't be permanent.Divorce rate may only be 42%, but I’d wager if not for splitting of assets/costs/legal fees and custody battles that would be higher. Lots of unhappy people who are still married to avoid that headache. Or still married but legally separated. I know many in that position, as I’m sure you do too. Stats I saw on that show 10-15% of couples separate but don’t divorce and another 7-10% just stay unhappily married and are co-parents and roommates basically.
