They aren’t ready or don’t have the Self esteem to go after someone better. Low quality dates low quality.

Thank you. I always go by the “when someone shows you who they really are, believe them” and “if he wanted to he would.” It’s served me well not just for romantic relationships but also in having quality relationships as a whole. I love FDS because Pickme’s have tried to shame me for my standards my whole dating life. Edit - when my mother had her accident he was in another city on a work trip and flew home. I didn’t have to ask him. He took 2 weeks off and was essentially on call for me for 2 m…

I have my own business and it’s does well enough that I have a general manager and work hours I choose. I take time off when my boyfriend is sick but I don’t think it would be possible if I did 9-5 working for someone else. He has WFH previously when I have been sick and takes my birthday off (he’s in a senior role which is very demanding) and he took time off when my mother had a serious accident.

Because a college degree doesn’t guarantee you a career. It increases your chances of being able to get a better job.

For emotional commitment. Not all relationships are about using men for money or finding someone to clean your house. When you are independent you can enjoy relationships for the emotional commitment and life experience they provide. This should be obvious.

English isn’t my first language. What I meant to imply - which others were able to understand- is that we both are very mindful of treating the other well because if we were to break up we would be emotionally hurt but our relationship doesn’t involve the financial issues that do many couples- especially women - face when weighing up if the should stay in a relationship.

I respect him and he respects me. Neither of us are financially entrapped.

He feels the same with me. He’s also financially independent and well educated. Our relationship is built on attraction, respect, love and emotional commitment. He can pay someone to cook and clean the same way I can pay all my living expenses.

Yes but a lot of women get jobs not careers. Most people don’t have real careers they just have jobs and of those who have careers women are a small minority. And fair enough - having a career and raising children would be incredibly stressful, having a job and a child is more than enough for the majority.

I have both. An excellent career and an amazing partner. I feel like I can hold my partner to higher expectations knowing that I have a home in my name completely paid off, significant investments, a successful career/business and a good education (masters). I love and respect my partner but I could walk away with no damage other than the emotional hurt. My partner knows this and behaves accordingly.

Haha because I don’t have to but plenty of people make lots of compromises with their partners and end up quite happy.

Not religious, my family immigrated from Hong Kong when I was a teenager but Hong Kong is also very “progressive.” But it’s strong in Chinese culture to develop yourself as much as possible- hence the tiger parenting - so good education, good career, saving money are strong cultural values. This also extends to getting the best possible partner. This is a big part of why Chinese women seldom let themselves get fat etc. I realised early in that the good quality men weren’t the drunk ones in bars …

Thank you. I think there are quite a few women who agree with me but we are generally quiet about it because modern culture tries to shame us as prudes and brainwash women into thinking it’s empowering to have sex with someone who doesn’t cherish you.

We pair best with people we have shared experiences with and shared values. Other women might find you appealing but there’s something that makes me feel physically sick at the though if a high N count man touching me. Luckily lots of women don’t share my views so there’s plenty left for you! I do think that sleeping with lots of people depletes the capacity to pair-bond. I’m extremely monogamous and it’s really important to me to have a strong, emotionally deep, physical relationship with just …

Why did you move in with your partner if you knew he was allergic to your pet? Can’t you just live near each other but in separate houses/apartments?

I’m sure there’s many nuances within casual sex but the reality is that I’m allowed to set my own standards and only partner with men who meet them. I don’t want to emotionally invest in men who have engaged in casual sex the same way many men don’t want to have relationships with women who exhibit these behaviours.

The issue is that in our culture only very westernised Chinese (like my family) own dogs. Generally East Asians are very clean and strict about floors etc being clean - animals aren’t for inside the house. He is a very clean person and also from a cultural background where it is considered very dirty to have dogs inside. I would never give away my pets but I also respect and understand my partner’s perspective so would never try to make him compromise by having a different kind (smaller, no shed…

What? No. Why would I make my partner live with an animal he doesn’t like/want? You gave away your cat, you didn’t just get a different kind of cat. If we live together it will only be after my dogs have lived out their natural lives, I wouldn’t give up my pets under any circumstances but I also don’t expect my partner to be uncomfortable in his own home.

I personally feel that for relationships to be successful you need matching values. I’m definitely too conservative for a lot of men but that’s fine as long as we are both honest and upfront and don’t waste each other’s time.

I’m not a person who has ever gotten so drunk I had sex with a stranger. I don’t want to be with someone who has done this regularly (preferably not at all). I don’t want to be with a man who has given woman the impression he wants a relationship just to have sex and then discard them. I want a man who is respectful and thoughtful about his sexual encounters. I’m extremely choosey about the people I have had sex with. Yes but all of that comes undone if they are chubby/overweight. A chubby girl getting a nice haircut and applying moisturiser|makeup doesn’t have the same added value as a man having a high status education and career.

Very attractive women are attractive without all that. Men aren’t completely stupid, they know that the highly coiffed woman is likely to give them a nasty surprise first thing in the morning. The beautiful natural looking women I know wear sunscreen and mascara. All of the extra stuff is worth very little without good facial bone structure and a low BMI. Low BMI being the highest determinant of female attractiveness.

My dogs are both big and shed a lot, we are East Asian and large house dogs are not really common in our parents’ home country. My family is probably more “westernised” so I love dogs but him not so much. I am quite tidy/clean but not on his level, I want him to be relaxed and happy in his home and that wouldn’t be possible with dog hair and slobber. I have 2 dogs which I love, they are 7 and 9, I had them for a few years before I met my partner. My partner has never lived with animals (and doesn’t really want to) and is a clean freak. He has had to accept that I won’t be living with him until after my pets pass (if ever). And with him being so pedantic my cleaner comes twice a week (I would probably be ok with once) so that he feels comfortable when he visits my home. Yes for men those things are irrelevant but for attractive women they can be picky enough to only date men who are attractive along with other attractive qualities - like humour, education, financial security. Not sure if you are trolling or just very young or not attractive enough to be picky with partners. Edit - or possibly you are a man who hasn’t had much contact with attractive women?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/21 03:46 AM

I think you will find that attractive women care very much about these things. I would never consider a man who wasn’t funny, well educated and financially successful, neither would any of my attractive friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/21 03:32 AM

I bill from $200 per hour. I’m more of the assumption that these older men (who are usually not very successful) have strong autistic traits hence their lack of relationship success within their own age bracket/culture. A trip to Thailand or the Phillipines isn’t expensive.

I’m ok with someone who works a lot. I like/need a lot of space and have a lot of hobbies. I see my partner twice a week, occasionally 3 times and seldom sleep over. He’s very career driven so if I wanted more of his time I’d probably be disappointed.

Other than keeping to an attractive weight there is little women can do outside of surgery to make themselves more attractive. Men don’t care about your education, sense of humour, finances the way women do. All of those things are highly controllable. It I was a man I would be drowning in pussy.

Anecdotally - I work in early intervention with autistic children and the most common pairing I see is father over 40 and how much younger wife. I make a fortune off grubby old men who import wives from developing countries.

Yes, the quality men are scooped up by quality women and vice versa. The women with degrees who don’t get these men usually studied something without a clear career path. No one I know who is attractive and studied a professional degree has a problem to find an equally desirable partner.

Maybe it will motivate men to stop being so entitled and start improving themselves. You know, the way women have done. My girlfriends and I all have masters degrees, well paid jobs, kind personalities and are attractive and slim. Why shouldn’t we date men who are similar? We have no trouble finding well educated, attractive men.

I’m a woman. I think some people are naturally monogamous and some people aren’t and there a lot of degrees in between. A key part of compatibility and success in a LTR is pairing with someone who is as monogamous as you are. For some couples a ONS is a “don’t throw the baby out with the bath water” situation and for others it’s a traumatic betrayal that will result in the relationship ending. I would never so much as even exchange cheeky texts with another man, I’m deeply monogamous with my par…

I have adhd and I also really struggle with keeping my house clean. If you find it too hard to keep to a schedule the other option is increasing your income. I’m not tidy but I know it’s important so I pay a cleaner to come twice a week. I do my dishes and laundry daily as needed but nearly everything else I outsource cleaning wise including having my car detailed monthly. There’s more than one way to approach a problem, good luck in finding your solution.

In the 90s the standard for thin was strict. I have a 23 inch waist and wasn’t considered thin when I was in high school- now that’s Victoria secret model size. It’s a good thing that we have embraced different types of attractive bodies but a lot of “curvy” girls would have just been considered fat girls - im talking size 8 girls not size 12+.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/21 02:36 AM

This exactly. I get my eyebrows done, all my body hair Lasered, and I exercise every day but I can only do this because I have a cleaner, a dog walker and because I’m the boss I can arrange my own schedule. There are no ugly people, just poor ones.

6 weeks. I had a fwb who I had known for more than a year before we starting sleeping together, I wasn’t in a mental place to have a relationship so broke it off with him after a few months when I realised he was hoping for more. To me 6 weeks of dating (seeing each other twice a week) is fast.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/21 10:16 AM

Well I guess I wouldn’t. I can’t imagine sleeping with someone I knew do little about, surely even with ONS most people get to know the other person? Of course when I first met my partner I mostly thought he was good looking but he was a lot more than that by the time we slept together. Perhaps I’m just naive as to his much/little people know about the people they sleep with?

I wouldn’t sleep with my partner casually. He’s a total catch, there’s no way I could have casual sex with him without developing serious feelings. On looks yes but on him as an actual person? No way, it would crush me.

I’m in my 30s and have 3 single friends, 2 of them have serious emotional regulation issues, the other is very beautiful but incredibly boring. Women just lie about their friends to the point of almost believing it themselves. Anyone who is long-term single after 30 has problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 03:03 AM
2

Because there are low value women and men. The women who end up single parents to these kinds of men only had the dregs to pick from anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 01:24 AM

That high value East Asians generally don’t date white people and don’t need apps to get into relationships? I speak 5 languages… I’m guessing you don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/21 12:20 PM

Yes but East Asian men who are only open to dating other East Asians don’t use dating apps to meet them. The men in dating apps are the ones who are (in theory) open to dating other races. When it comes to East Asian women who date white guys you have a few ultra-educated STEM types (stereotype is Prescilla Chan) and the others are from less educated/second generation backgrounds who are (often) too fat/loud/uneducated for the good quality Asian men who don’t need to use apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/21 04:20 AM

I am east-Asian and so is my partner (both moved to west as teenagers). I know plenty of attractive and accomplished East Asian men with white partners. The issue is also that because east Asia has strictly enforced beauty standards a lot of non-Asian women are too fat/hair/masculine for East Asian taste. I love my partner but I know if I went with a white guy I could let myself go a bit more.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/21 03:27 AM

The only single people I known are either very fat (which can be changed) or have serious personality or mental health issues. After about 30 people are single for a reason and it’s not because society is unreasonable. Don’t be fat, be employed, develop your communication and emotional regulation skills. For men and women the bar is low.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/21 03:22 AM

I find it really funny that white westerners think that their society is class conscious. Compared to Asian culture you guys are Marxists.

Australians and brits are fat from alcohol. USA it’s the huge portions and high fructose corn syrup. That’s my observation from living in the uk, USA and Australia (as a person born in east Asia).
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 06:52 AM

I’m Asian and lived in the USA for a while, there were so many foods I couldn’t tolerate because they were so sickly sweet. I now live in Australia where they use regular cane sugar. It was easier to keep a low weight in the USA because here I actually enjoy the junk food.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/21 06:50 AM
2

I would take a poor man over an obese man…. Maybe…… so what is your point? Because what I’m hearing is that the quality of men in the USA is so low that for most women it’s preferable to be single (lucky I don’t live in the USA).

You sound like you see it in a similar light to my partner, I have a good career but I only work part time. My partner would rather I have time to work out and being happily engaged in my hobbies and interests than as exhausted as he is from work, he makes enough that a job is for keeping my independence and my mind active but it doesn’t add stress to our relationship.

I’m an Asian immigrant, I don’t have/don’t want kids. I have my own business and work 3-3.5 days a week. My partner is more career driven and more successful so works fulltime. We both plan to completely stop working by 45. So no, we’re not all hyper ambitious tiger mom types.

I’m a woman In a LTR who doesn’t want kids. It hurts my ego but my career probably doesn’t really matter. My partner is happy that I have something that I’m committed too and invested in and that I have the capacity to be completely financially independent. Perhaps not but both men and women should think about the Type of people who will be left in their dating pool if they engage in lots of casual sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 10:31 PM
4

This is quite possible. I just hope that people younger than me don’t live in fear of there being “nobody left” after 30 and then rushing into relationships or staying in relationships that aren’t fulfilling. High quality people are single at all ages but it’s important to be realistic about your own value and truely vet people before you sleep with them or commit to them and continue to set and respect each other’s boundaries throughout relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 09:03 PM
14

Exactly. I married in my 20’s and divorced in my early 30’s. I had no struggle in finding an attractive, kind, successful man who I shared the same values and interests with. After 30 you are just better at picking who is actually compatible with you and less concerned about being single if no one meets your standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 02:22 PM
16

We think the same as men. People with high body counts don’t respect themselves and are only good for one thing. If a woman sleeps with you straight away it’s because she doesn’t consider you relationship material. In some ways women and men are very similar.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 01:47 PM

Yes. My partner and I both have very good educations and we’re able to build successful careers in our fields. We both come from very working class, non-white, immigrant backgrounds but share the same values of making the most of opportunities which has lead us to now be in a privileged position.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/21 04:02 AM

Oh this. My natural instinct is to defend women, even if it’s a woman I don’t know. We don’t gain anything by joining in on men kicking other women.

I agree with you and I am happily in a relationship like this. However I also acknowledge that my partner and I can have this privilege because we both have above average incomes. But yes, it’s really the best if both worlds.

Thanks for the novel. He can have his standards all he wants. Clearly you are very upset that women don’t find bald men attractive. You compensated through other abilities and/or traits and got an attractive wife so yes, he may get lucky, but the fact that you are so triggered indicates that you know you are the exception to the rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 12:02 PM

Good luck finding an attractive woman with low standards then.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 11:36 PM

I’m shaming this guy because he’s so entitled despite being a skinny, ranga, bald, child. He might get lucky and find an outlier like you did but probably not with his personality.

You are just upset because you asked a question and don’t like the answer. If you are already balding you are ugly, especially for your age.

For me it’s baldness and fatness but I’m not very tall. Bald, short, fat. Some women refuse all 3, most refuse 2/3 if they are themselves attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 05:51 AM

I’m in my 30s and I won’t date bald men. When I was under 25? Zero chance. It’s really incredible that you think you are entitled to a beautiful young partner as a bald 22 year old. Incredible.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 05:50 AM
0

Yes. For young attractive women it’s a dealbreaker. If you are bald and under 25 you’re not attractive so why would attractive women your age date you? So you can (maybe) aim for attractive older women with lower standards (more accepting women who take more than looks into account) or equally unattractive women your own age.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/21 05:47 AM
3

Once you are 35+ women your age (mostly) just accept balding as it’s a part of life and doesn’t impact too much on attractiveness. But very young men? 18-24 you would have to be extremely attractive in all other ways for most women your age not to dismiss you. It’s like being a young women with extremely saggy breasts or extreme cellulite.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 07:15 AM

Yes. I had an endometrial ablation because I don’t want children. This way I can’t get pregnant and don’t have periods and don’t need to take hormonal contraceptives. People who don’t want children should take measure to ensure they don’t. I’m dating a child free man who had a vasectomy at 35.

I made the equivalent of $130 000 usd a year as a therapist before I opened my own private practice where I now make more. I’m not sure what kind of salary you consider to be high but in my circle my my job is not considered to be low paid or low status.

It’s because so many people are fat. Some (many) Healthy weight men weight men will still have sex with fat women but few slim women will have sexual with fat men. The fat men who won’t have sex with fat women are left with zero options.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/21 10:51 PM

What? Men who are actually selective about who they have sex with are the top tier men who are few and far between. Few women are impressed by men who will put their dick in anything that casts a shadow.

In a lot of big cities in the English speaking world where I have lived (UK, USA, Australia) not everyone multidates but it’s better to assume that most people are dating other people (and possibly sleeping with other people) until you have the exclusivity conversation. While there are drawbacks to this I try and see it positively but n that it creates an incentive that if you meet someone and you like them you let them know and eliminate the grey area.

Housework is absolutely boring and very few people enjoy it. Every man I have had a relationship has made it clear the are happy to pay more of our joint expenses it if means they can dodge housework. For this reason I used to insist on a cleaner 2X per week and now would rather be together but live separately. Women who live with men who earn more but still agree to pay half the bills and do more than half the housework are either cowards or idiots.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/21 12:01 PM

This. The only time I’ve gone off sex in a relationship it’s been because the man has gained a significant amount of weight and I’m no longer physically attracted to him or he’s done something for me to lose respect for him resulting in my losing respect for him which turns me off him physically.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/21 10:45 AM

Usually women can tell who are the men like this and those men are only really sought of for casual dating - not just sex - someone to go to dinner with, see a movie, go to a sports game. They’re filler guys when the woman doesn’t have anyone in her sights who she’s interested in a long term relationship with.

Yeah so, I can see you a very upset by my comments, not that it really matters but I’m an Australian citizen, lived here all up less than 1/5 of my life. I’m sorry you are so upset by my general comment about most men hitting the wall by 27 that you had to make personal attacks on me and massive generalisation about a country you probably haven’t visited.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 10:42 PM

He’s still 42. Doesn’t change the fact that for most men the wall hits much sooner. Nice stalking btw.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 09:52 PM

For most men the wall is about 27. It’s really important for men to have good characters because their looks are often fleeting.

You can date them if you want but when someone’s poor judgment results in something that can never be undone - like a child and the child’s mother - It’s a no from me. Same as anyone who “accidentally” had a child. What? You “accidentally” forgot to use protection? You “accidentally” dated a women who couldn’t read the instructions on the box and follow them? No thanks.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 12:42 PM

Adoration for single fathers? Not that I’m aware of. At a certain age some women will accept that the men their age left for dating have children and accept that that means they only see them every second weekend etc. I’ve not heard of a woman thinking it’s a positive for a man to have children from a previous relationship. When a man has full custody you assume his ex has serious drug and/or mental health issues and it’s a huge red flag - do you really want to date a man who has already demonst…

That makes it even sadder. If he valued your friendship he wouldn’t “add sex to your friendship” he would either be a genuine friend or your partner. I’m not even trying to be nasty to you, I feel really sorry for you and that you’ve invested so much in this man at the expense of genuine friendships and/or a real relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 04:16 PM

I can only imagine what this man is saying about you. And yes if you were a man who was happy to pay for the company of and living expenses for a woman who wasn’t interested in having a relationship with them I would think it’s a bit sad, the fact that you are a woman makes it very sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 04:05 PM

You’re missing the self esteem and self awareness to realise that you don’t need to pay for someone who you’re not in a relationship with, or even a person who you are in a relationship with who has their shit together.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 03:55 PM

Seems you are doing a lot for a man who won’t agree to be in a relationship with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 03:46 PM

For your FWB? This man has friendzoned you and you would pay all his living expenses and already pay for his company? This is more than a little bit sad, if all you want is dick it’s abundant and free!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 03:00 PM

Ok so what you mean to say is that men are becoming more violent towards women, not that overall the world is becoming more violent. Quite disturbing social trend.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 02:57 PM
1

I financially could afford to support someone forever but I wouldn’t. I’m in my 30s so anyone my age should have enough put away that if they lost their job and it took say 3-6 months to find another one that would be a non-issue. I wouldn’t respect a man who needed me to support him. I wouldn’t date anyone where this issue would arise. I don’t understand why men would want to support a woman now that women have so many career options. Edit - I’m not including supporting the mother of your child…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/21 02:47 PM

I think if you read back through your comments you will find you have made the most broad sweeping judgments.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/21 01:54 PM

It’s that gamers are (often) boring people who aren’t interested in things they themselves don’t do. I don’t go mountain biking or do woodwork but I would still be interested to hear about these things from someone who does.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/21 01:47 PM
3

That’s not true. Sports, arts, anything where you are building or creating, learning makes you more attractive and interesting to people, albeit not all people. If people enjoy playing video games that’s fine but the also need to accept that it diminishes their social circle and date-ability outside of their gamer niche.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/21 01:23 PM
3

Yes. People whose main hobby is video games think it’s somehow superior to other types of media consumption and yet no one else agrees. It’s less passive but equally mind numbing and definitely doesn’t make you more interesting to people who don’t share your “hobby.”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/21 01:16 PM

Nope. Passing time and consuming media isn’t a hobby.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/21 05:28 AM

You seem to really not understand that people are different, not everyone thinks a feels like you do. Someone with such limited life experience doesn’t benefit from having such inflated opinions.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/21 04:57 AM
3

Some (not all) women crave variety in the sexual experience- thus it is appealing to sleep with someone who you wouldn’t necessarily have a relationship with.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/21 04:37 AM

There’s nothing bad about them, there’s just nothing exceptional enough about them that I would want to invest so much time, resources and labour into cohabiting with one. They’re fine to pass time with.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/21 03:09 PM
27

Also autistic. They do exist, I haven’t had a relationship with one but I have 2 friends who have married HVM and one of my uncles is one. It’s possibly harder for us to navigate dating and identify HVM but it’s more necessary because our confusion with social cues makes us easy victims for LV and abusive men. I’ve found FDS has really helped me not feel guilty or anxious about setting boundaries and keeping to them. Wishing you all the best sister xo

I know that and you know that but many fat women FEEL less fat if their partner is in some way bigger than them. Fat people of both genders have a lot of delusions…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/21 02:41 AM

This. As long as you are taller it’s fine. Fat women want much taller to give them the illusion of being less fat but women with healthy BMIs just don’t want to be taller.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/21 10:39 AM

As I get older yes, but I’m sure average looking and above 22 year olds are still being approached daily. There’s also going to be country/regional differences.

Most men who are on the same money as I am really lead with this and I find it very awkward because I know that if I as a woman tried to promote my income/career as my major selling point men would call me out for being arrogant and say it was ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/21 05:20 AM
5

Yes they are. I’m in my 30’s so “post wall” as some men here (apparently) see it and I get asked out by strangers at least weekly. Just because you aren’t cold approaching doesn’t mean no one is.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/21 11:14 AM
2

Both men and women have varied sexual interests/desires/ranges so it’s important to find a sexually compatible partner for a LTR.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/21 02:48 AM
2

A lot of women can’t grasp that men don’t need to be attracted to and/or like a person to have sex with them and orgasm.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/21 01:10 AM
1

Some women also assume that the kind of sex that a man has/wants with a prostitute is not the kind of sex a lot of women want to have with a partner. So some women are concerned about the types of sexual demands a man is going to make in the relationship if he visits prostitutes.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/21 01:07 AM

Have you looked around a public place? All the attractive men are under 30. Most are around 27. Simple observation.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/21 01:01 AM
4

Also spending time with children is incredibly boring.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 03:55 AM
7

I’m a very happy child free woman. Multiple degrees, house paid off, lived in 4 countries and traveled more than 30. Great hobbies, great friends, lots of sleep. I’ve never spent time with a child and then thought I would like to have one permanently in my home. Ever.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 03:54 AM
2

Yeah but by 30 a lot of them go off like spoiled milk. Men peak 27/28 and then it’s unfortunately a rapid decline for most of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 02:23 PM
1

Yes. But it’s mostly because after 30 men get so fat and weathered. When I see a good looking man in his 30’s or 40’s I’m probably more attracted to him but those men are so few and far between that usually the men I notice in public are 23-28 (27 is generally when men peak).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 01:51 PM
8

No. I physically repaired these things myself. There’s videos for everything now. Anyone can do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 01:24 PM

Yes as a single woman who has recently repaired my own roof, replaced internal stairs and retiled my laundry I would love to know how to acquire this free labor.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 01:15 PM

Older women don’t need to pay for it because young men are a dime a dozen and will generally fuck anything but generally I agree with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/21 10:49 AM
3

Yes. There’s plenty of men and women with both high and low sex drives. However, in a LTR where there has previously (for years) been a lot of sex and then it drops off to a trickle this is a sign that your partner is no longer attracted to you or no longer respects you or a combo of the 2.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/21 10:36 AM

It’s definitely made for an interesting story...

/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 01:53 AM

This isn’t true. Unattractive men usually have a huge chip on their shoulder and punish the woman they’re with for all the women they couldn’t pull.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 01:47 AM

When you punch above your weight you are normally pretty proud. It’s a. Ego boost not an incentive to change yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/21 01:45 AM

Pretty much. I know I would definitely rather remain single than marry a poor quality man. You probably are better off marrying someone who never has had the opportunity to be able to make that choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/21 05:34 AM

I assume people who end up with dead bedrooms are in relationships where sex was very much transactional and for whatever reason the (usually) woman never really enjoyed the sex they had on its own merit.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/21 01:47 AM

My career is extremely intellectually stimulating, I use my clinical reasoning to solve problems and work collaboratively with clients. I meet people from all walks of life and it gives me a sense of purpose. I wouldn’t have a relationship with someone who saw their job as merely a way to gain status/sex/money.

I’m not American. In Asia there is a lot of pressure on women to perform well academically. There are more economic opportunities in the USA - in Latin America the opportunity for higher education and genuine careers is an option only for the privileged few. You are comparing apples and oranges but I realise you can’t see this because you see women from culture outside of your own as being homogeneous.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 06:43 AM
2

Well I’ve been married and had multiple proposals but I can agree that some women on the spectrum have little interest in beauty standards etc. The spectrum is very diverse. I think you’re right about the adhd - men seen to think it’s adorable how impulsive and chatty I am and I did very well in school/University/work so it hasn’t been socially or financially disabling. I’m just one case study though.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 05:49 AM
2

As a woman with a neurological “disability” - ADHD/ASD1 I can say that as long as you are conventionally attractive it makes no difference. I have never had a lack of dates and was able to have LTR with all the men I desired them from. Autism is a spectrum but for women on the “high functioning” end or more Aspergers diagnosis as long as you’re hot men don’t care.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 05:22 AM

I’m still waiting for your data considering you are the one with lots of opinions who claims other people’s opinions and lived experiences are irrelevant. Edit - I would love to see the data on all these engineers who chose not to work. Sounds very interesting.

Well my parents are Asian but I was raised in “the west.” So I imagine my experience would be disregarded anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 11:33 PM

Yes but Latina women living in the USA still have far more economic opportunity and legal protection than the average Latina living in Latin America.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 11:23 PM
3

I’m not Latina but have lived in 2 South American countries and married a Latino. For women to choose to stay home they have to be from the very small upper class. Generally in South America inflation and unemployment are high and wages are low, if you are comfortable financially it’s from generational wealth so these women who “choose” to stay home never needed a job in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 11:20 PM

Australia is also the worst in the West for toxic masculinity. Australia has a small population and yet a woman is murdered by her husband every week. It’s one of the few places I have lived where you can see a fist fight on any given night in a bar/nightclub area. These men often are wearing business attire so it’s a cultural issue not a class one. Women in Australia have started to become extremely feminist because Australian men are some of the worst quality in the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 11:07 PM

You’re either rich or poor then. Most middle class educated women take a year (or maybe 2) out of the workforce and then go back to work at least part time. That or you live in a low cost of living part of the USA.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 12:48 PM

Well her husband surely knew her sexual preferences before marriage and he still put a ring on it so I think it’s safe to assume they are both having the kind of sex they want/enjoy.

If a woman wants to be in a relationship she can be. It just depends how much parenting she is prepared to do. Women who think there are no good men are usually too needy themselves to be able to attract one or their expectations are too high - I see this often in women who are cute but not beautiful and without much life if their own. They’re waiting for their “real life” to begin when they find a partner and essentially can’t entertain themselves or develop meaningful relationships outside of …

/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/21 12:22 PM

Yes, one of the great things about being a good looking woman I’m your 30s is all the cute guys in their 20s. Lots of energy, good attitude (not bitter yet), and are able to have respectful casual relationships without the expectation that it will progress to something more.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/21 12:16 PM

I’m 36 and less and less interested in LTR. I wouldn’t want to live with someone again and I never want to do someone’s laundry or go to their families Christmas again. Being single gives me lots of time to focus on fitness which means I still have plenty of dating options. I assume I won’t have issues to casually date/fwb until menopause and then I will probably be less interested in sex anyway. I’ve never heard a woman complain she can’t get sex. Must be a male problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/21 12:11 PM

His body in the before is disgusting. This is the kind of guy women accidentally hook up with when they’re drunk - because he has a nice face - and then are horrified when the clothes come off.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/21 01:09 AM

I know some guys who are fat but with good jobs, personalities and nice faces. They can get casual sex (with women who are very drunk) but can’t attract good quality women for relationships and won’t date the women they can attract.

Their husband doesn’t help but pays half the bills. It’s very expensive to be a single parent. Some governments are not very good at enforcing child support laws.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/21 10:23 PM

When I got divorced I lived for 6 months with my married sister and her 3 small children. My sister loved it as it meant she had someone to help with childcare. I would actively engage them in activities rather than just putting the TV on. Not sure what her husband was doing. Relaxing I assume.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/21 10:21 PM

I just realised I already do this. Men tell me often I don’t give off “friendly vibes.” Men are irrelevant to me unless I’ve already picked them as a person I want to sleep with (which is rare).

I agree.

But depending on a woman’s proportions SOME women can be fat (BMI 25-30) and still be conventionally attractive. Men gain weight on the stomach and face, there are very few (in my opinion none) attractive fat men. But yes I also think it’s fine for men to openly admit they’re not attracted to fat women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/21 03:02 PM

A gross dadbod scrote made some disgusting comments to me about my curvy beautiful friend. Yes she has a higher BMI than me but it’s in all the right places and she’s gorgeous. There are many fat beautiful women. There’s no such thing as an attractive fat man. What was equally disgusting is that he seemed to think that putting my friend down would make me in some way attracted to him. Just gross.

Nope. We all have preferences, they’re all extremely different, it’s about finding one that the mere thought/sight of arouses you. I’ve got a strong preference for a mushroom head, everyone has their cock preferences.

I don’t think all men suck, neither do any of my friends. We know it’s not all men but more of us are getting smart about vetting which men to give our time to. You’re middle class. Good for you. Lots of working class men without your aggressive demeanour also have a lot of dating options.

And yet women reap so many of the rewards. Again, I don’t feel sorry for men. This all started because I can pick and choose who I will have relationships with. Despite all the sacrifices it seems attractive women with their own money are still on top.

Do you really have the inability to see that it’s men who built the economy and the work cultures that surround them and then have a cry that the industries you dominate aren’t nice? I don’t pity men who choose to do these jobs when they could go and work in office administration or be a nurse. I made bank in the mines, used the money to retrain, started my own company and haven’t had to work full time ever since. No I don’t feel sorry for men. You get to live in the mess you created.

In my country women do lots of stressful jobs too. I’m sure in the USA as well. I’m not in this position so I’m not really sure what to say. I do agree with you to an extent. I actually do find it (sometimes) refreshing that men aren’t really interested in my job/business. However, not if they’re completely dismissive of all my achievements. I think the reason low income women are cautious of low income men is that in long term relationships women often end up managing the finances - which is an extremely stressful job if neither of you are in a good position. I’m short with a 23 inch waist but yes I don’t have DD and if men aren’t attracted to me due to my breast size that’s fine. I will take an average height man, not a short man, I don’t think this is unreasonable. When I say nice cock I didn’t say huge cock. There’s more than just size that comes into it. And no I won’t be with someon…

The main problem is men are too fat. Nothing else matters if you have dad bod. Eat less, do some exercise. The looks screen is the easiest to pass.

I’m ok for a man to make less than me. I’m only 5’2 so above 5’9 is ok. He has to have a nice (not fat) body - because your body is a reflection of your mind and your lifestyle and a nice cock because if I’m going to eat the same thing for dinner every meal it better be my favourite meal. They don’t need to be wealthy by any stretch but I wouldn’t date someone who hates their job no matter what their pay rate was.

I’m from a working class background but have been fortunate to find a profession I love and build a good business thus very much improving my financial situation. Because class is also cultural I would prefer to have a relationship with a man from a similar background to me. On dates the man needs to pay. Not because I can’t afford it but to show me that he values my time. Also because a lot of men from my background have less money than me I want it demonstrated that they’re not looking to take…

Most men are balding with a belly by 28. There is no such thing as an attractive overweight man (BMI 25+). That’s why the few men who manage to get to 30/35/40+ without getting fat get so much attention- the are a rare commodity.

I’m 36 and have lots of friends. I go rock climbing 3-4 times a week in a social group, on weekend trips every second weekend. I have multiple girlfriends who I see fortnightly or weekly and at least 10 friends who I’m in contact with every day via text message. So speak for yourself, a lot of women are very good at creating and maintaining friendships.

I got married at 25 and divorced In my early 30s. There is pretty much no way I would ever consider living with a man again. I date in a way that’s really just window shopping/time passing. The thought of committing to a man makes me feel tired.

Women do the picking. Plenty of them pick trash men but they still do the picking. It’s easy for women to get sex but can sometimes be challenging to find a man who prioritises women’s orgasms outside of a committed relationship. Because sex and attention is so readily available there’s little incentive to commit to men unless they’re exceptional. From my experience and most of my girlfriends reports there are a lot of men who are seeking commitment (because it means regular sex with an attracti…

This is location specific. I live in a fat country but in inner city and affluent coastal areas there are very few fat women. Men in my country are fat regardless of location, class, income etc unfortunately.

Well I don’t think there’s any reason to think the friend of the poster is arrogant or masculine. She just appears to not have hobbies or a social life that introduce her to men. Bars are probably a good option for her but she needs to be mindful that drunk men in bars often aren’t looking for relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/21 02:02 AM
1

I go to bars. I enjoy them but I don’t need to use them to meet random men who want a ONS where my orgasms won’t be prioritised. I’m a beautiful accomplished woman who knows my worth and can pick between the men who have the confidence and social skills to approach me based on their knowledge not just of my looks but my character. I don’t need to rely on some half-drunk man who’s going through the venue playing a numbers game.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/21 10:11 PM

If you don’t have any hobbies then you need to go to bars. I’ve met all the men I have dated or fwb either through rock climbing or mutual friends, one I met because our dogs were friends and we walked the same track every morning (yes if you’re a woman it’s that easy). But lots of people are boring and just go to work and have no real life. These are the people who especially need to go to bars because they usually also have terrible social skills when sober.

Just don’t ever get fat. Men over 40 go bald and women largely just accept it but when it starts in your teens/early 20s it puts you behind in the race. Hit the gym, improve the things that you can control and don’t get too hung up over it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/21 02:22 PM

I understand that you are depressed and your lack of dating weighs heavily on you but at 24 you have a lot of time before you are one of these men I’m talking about. You have plenty of time to improve yourself and the way you perceive yourself. You will meet so many people and have so many experiences between 24 and 40.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/21 12:54 PM

There’s also not many physically attractive men. Men love to bang on about “the wall” for women but most men don’t wear sunscreen and “dad bod” is revolting- you look like a giant toddler.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/21 05:06 AM

I’m in my 30s and divorced- I got married at 25. I have no interest in getting remarried. However, the women my age (36) who are single, never married and WANT to get married- you can pretty much guarantee they are extremely unreasonable or mentally ill (especially the attractive ones). There is a reason none of their relationships work. Same for men who are nearly 40 or older and want to have kids “one day.”
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/21 04:57 AM

As a woman in her 30’s with no interest in marriage I can confirm this. Hot young dick is plentiful, you just have to listen to one or two of their boring stories.

I actually am a therapist and I really struggle with how much emotional work and “help” men want from you even in casual relationships. All women are pressured to do this work for free but because I’m a professional I can put a dollar value on it - $245p/h. These scrotes have literally robbed me. Edit- spelling/grammar (I am a poor multitasker) and added per hour. I would hate to add up the actual hours.....

Yes. I’ve had the same best friend for more than 20 years and an awesome group of female friends. I wouldn’t ditch them for a booty call or a date. It’s easier probably as a woman because dick is always available if you want it - you just text back “I’m busy tonight but free tomorrow.” Most men will skip their best friends wedding for sex. Pathetic.

Honestly people who are single in their 30s it’s for a reason. The serious people are out of the dating pool. I married in my 20s and got divorced in my early 30s. I take it as a given that dating people my age means they’re looking for something casual.

This is why there are conversations better left unsaid. I dated a guy who eventually told me he had slept with over 100 women (he was early 20s) I was disgusted. Didn’t want to put his dick in my mouth again. I didn’t need to know and I certainly never would have asked.

I had to google what a simp was. Chads are sluts too. Honestly all men are desperate for attention- even the ones who get plenty of it. But yes, maybe it’s not fair for me to label all men sluts when some are just very desperate/lonely. Something for me to think about...
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/21 04:32 AM
1

How is it not? I’m not trying to be argumentative just wondering why it’s unclear? I know that if I want to I can have sex with pretty much any man (there are exceptions and lots of good men don’t cheat etc) but I don’t. Men on the other hand will have sex with any woman who gives them a scrap of attention (again there are exceptions). So why shouldn’t I conclude from this that most men are slutty/promiscuous by nature? English isn’t my first language so maybe I’m using the word wrong?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/21 04:18 AM
5

I’m a woman and I’m reluctant to get into relationships unless the man is exceptional. Men are so promiscuous that I can get all of my sexual needs, company and ego boost from them without having to commit to them or do anything for them in anyway. I don’t split bills, cook men dinners, provide emotional support etc. Men are so emotionally and sexually slutty there’s no reason to buy a whole pig just to get some sausage.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/21 03:55 AM

Yes because most men are so promiscuous that they will go to bed with any woman who agrees.

The women I consider losers are the ones from privileged families who have the opportunity to do anything and still choose to do nothing. Supported by their parents the do a nonprofessional 3 year degree (or none at all).Never really work, travel or develop themselves in any meaningful way. Usually they find a guy with a rescue/provider complex and get married. They’re essentially eternal children.

Tall isn’t the issue it’s more about how big your shoulders and general build are. You can be tall but still dainty but if you are built like a buffalo - big shoulders/small hips - it’s hard to feel/look feminine at any height.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/21 04:52 AM

I wouldn’t stay with a partner if they got fat unless it was due to medical reason that they were addressing. Short term or flings maybe but I wouldn’t consider a fat man for a LTR. It’s about respecting yourself and your partner and finding someone with the same values.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/21 04:39 AM

I’m Australian but have also lived in the USA and in both these countries being fat is so common that it’s considered normal and only being obese is actually considered fat. There’s exceptions- NY, SF and affluent areas of large Australian cities. People just get conditioned to be attracted to what’s around them.

Margot Robbie has a flat chest, no waist definition and boyish hips - Apple shape. She’s only attractive when very slim- like she was in wolf of Wall Street - at a healthy but higher BMI not so much. She does have amazing facial symmetry.

Exactly- I grew up working class without much money (single parent, rural area) I have 3 degrees and am on pretty good money now but I date people in similar positions from my class - mostly tradies or business people who have built something for themselves or people in professional jobs who grew up working class. Class is culture.

It’s not uncommon to have sex with a person you don’t find particularly physically attractive. I don’t think he’s a physically attractive person and I don’t/won’t seek out other fat guys but he just so happened to be a great lover. /r/PurplePillDebate20/12/20 01:16 PM
2

Yeah and their good jobs still don’t make them attractive to women at their peak. Women at their peak (late teens to early 20s) are most attracted to men in their peak (early to mid 20s). When we are talking only physical attraction women of all ages find these men the most appealing but as we age we factor other things into what makes for a desirable partner. Women in their late teens and early 20s are not factoring in these other things.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/20 01:07 PM

Men over 30 often are balding, overweight and some have ED. They have better jobs but most women who are single in their 30s also have good jobs if they haven’t had time out of the workforce to raise children.

I’m 36 and would take an 22 year old amateur athlete for a ONS over George Clooney. I also wouldn’t want his old man bones for a LTR. Men find him far more attractive than women do.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/20 12:30 PM

Aren’t they delusional? The reason very young women don’t date them/have ONS with them is because they aren’t as attractive as men closer to their age. Thank you for clearly explaining this!
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/20 12:29 PM

Men peak between 22 and 27 unless you are talking about disposable income and emotional maturity being factored into the make peak (but obviously not the female)If we are just talking physique then men and women peak at fairly similar ages. Men need to get over this fantasy that they are better looking/more sexually desirable as they age.

This. I’m not American but it’s similar in my country. This is probably true. I live in Australia which is also super fat. I’m 36, not ugly at all but not stunning but I’m slim with a 24 inch waist. There are very few healthy weight yet alone in shape men my age (36). Those men generally date women in their late 20’s (fair enough). I’m no model but I exercise (weights, yoga, rock climbing) most days and am the same size I was at 20 - so in pretty good condition for my vintage. I’m not attracted to fat men so I mostly date men in their 30s before they descend into dadbod.

Most Australian men look ten years older than women the same age due to drinking and sun damage. Even the ones in the gym- big arms but with a gut and lots if wrinkles. Most of these men still find more attractive partners because it's such slim pickings. Australian men- especially white men - are some if the worst agers out there.

I live in Australia where most men drink a lot and seem to not remember to wear sunscreen which means that after 30 it can be a struggle to find one that doesn’t have a beer belly and terrible skin. I really notice attractive men older than 30 because it is so rare. Looks matter but so few men are attractive that most women will find things to like about an ugly not to be alone.
