You need to stop watching TRP content ASAP man. Unfollow any manosphere accounts you subscribe to, no ifs, no buts. Find some accounts offering sensible relationship advice (and some anti or counter-TRP pages as a bonus) and hit 'like' on a bunch of their content instead, the algorithm will do the rest. Give yourself time to process the breakup. You're in a vulnerable state right now which is exactly what TRP thrives on. It sounds like you're still in a spin over the end of the relationship and …

I'm sorry but you need to pull him up on this and explain why it's hurting you. The social media algorithms will keep laying that kind of content out in front of him and believe me unless he snaps out of it his behavior towards you will change for the worse.

The wording of this question is a bit strange. Does bad behavior and personality traits affect how I perceive someone on a purely physical level? No, but it'll certainly put me off wanting to get to know them.

Going to have to disagree here. With the way social media algorithms work nowadays, plus the sheer volume of TRP-related content being produced (Youtube/TikTok channels, podcasts, etc.), I think its following is just going to grow and grow well into the future.

Is this really how you judge whether the dating market somewhere is "fucked" or not? The number of "regular dudes with hotties" you see? No mention of how happy those relationships are, or how long they last? Whether they're genuine or not?

The only thing we get out of it is proof we don’t live in a patriarchy, but not any solutions. I know I'm in the minority here but I think we do live under a patriarchy, and together with toxic masculinity this explains why there are so many problems facing men and boys (and why they receive very little attention). George doesn't propose any real solutions because his position ultimately makes no sense when you leave such a crucial piece of the puzzle out.

Exactly. OP is oblivious to how toxic their beliefs are, they're going to walk from this thread thinking "why do people hate men who just want to take care of their partners, and women who just want to be looked after?"

You're missing my point. If a man is solely in charge of the finances etc then that gives him muuuuch more leeway if he is abusive or controlling (and makes it harder for the woman in this situation to leave him). Nobody "hates competent men" lol, typical redpill comment. If a couple in a healthy relationship want to follow the arrangement you describe then that's fine. You're the one making weird and toxic generalizations like "men should be the ones to do X" and "women secretly want to be trea…

I know personally I wouldn't waste time on a man who doesn't take care of most household responsibilities, like the bills and paper work. My aunt let her late husband take care of all the things you describe. It worked fine for her until he dropped dead of a heart attack one day, and then she suddenly had no idea where all the paperwork was, what needed to be paid for, etc. Furthermore, what if "daddy" turns out to be a violent and abusive little shithead? Do you really want to leave knowledge a…

I don't think your average red-piller is some 4chan chud gagging for genocide, it's usually some 20-something guy looking to "beat the system" and get laid. That said I think it's pretty undeniable TRP is one of the stepping stones at the mouth of the alt-right pipeline.

Going against the grain here but I find these posts by George pretty annoying and a bit off the mark. Highlighting a problem facing men and boys is well and good, but for some reason he doesn't want to bother explaining why they exist. He just reels them off in a big gish-gallop post and seems to want you to infer that the system is misandrist.

DecodingTheGurus are brilliant. For counter-manosphere stuff I'd also recommend professorneil on TikTok and HasanAbi

It seems like people see a couple of anecdotes and assume that that is the norm I think there's a negativity bias at play here. Horror stories involving dating with ulterior motives etc. are more likely to be written about or remembered than the more mundane stuff. I saw a comment on here years ago that really stuck with me pointing out that AFBB sounds suspiciously like men projecting a Madonna-whore complex onto the women they date.

Agreed. Like attracts like from what I've seen. This is purely anecdotal so take it for what it's worth, but I'm in my early 30's and a lot of the girls I know from school and uni are in LTRs or married to guys who are basically cut from the same cloth as they are. If anything, I'd say "reformed party boy settles down with comparatively inexperienced girl" is more common than the inverse. The "alpha fucks, beta bucks" thing IMO just doesn't pan out in real life anywhere near as much as TRP claim…

It's the internet, man. Black-and-white thinking, he-said she-said and confirmation bias dominate. It wouldn't be so bad if these attitudes weren't spreading to through social media where the younger generation are guaranteed to come across them sooner or later. The other week I was listening to my girlfriend's teenage cousins rave about Andrew Tate. Kids are having their head filled with toxic filth before they've even left home and had a chance to form their own ideas about how the world works…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
