4 weeks in to our first son. Field report from this side, it looks like the house is clean, but really I clean one or two things a day and neatly shove the rest away. To keep the living room tidy I have a little cart with diapers and pumping supplies, then keep it picked up every day. The kitchen is the same. The counters are wiped and the sink is empty, but everything else is shoved in the dishwasher and I unload it slowly. I set 15 minutes to clean when he goes down for a nap and the rest is t…

I agree completely. They tried so hard to do so little and it bit them. Mommy wine culture is really hitting this hard with millennials.

The best thing you can do is identify the problem when it's happening and ask yourself if it is truly the hill to die on. Identify coping and relaxing techniques that work for you and plant them into the day. It helps a lot. JBP is great too.

It's hard. Quarantine life has not been kind. I'm sure he feels some frustration over his own eating issues and may be taking it personally too. Just try to be gentle with each other and you may have to lead that for a while first to rebuild that part of the relationship. Oooh girl, planning an hour out ain't going to cut it lol. 1.Start buying what is on sale to stock up the freezer. 2. Make a weekly menu, get his input on a few meals and surprise him with the others. 3. Meal prep ready to eat …

I can't give you advice on your marriage, but I can give you the homekeeping/cooking advice. Also, can I ask what his food allergies are? -Tell him you took his advice and want to make a big deal about cooking, you notice he likes cooking videos and watch them with him. If you see something he can't have, ask what parts about it he likes so you can figure out how to adapt it. -Meal prep on Sundays unless you have a religious obligation. Since you want some variety, pick 2-3 meals for breakfast, …

It's totally okay, and it's okay that he is different, because maybe a change of pace is a good thing. Be kind to yourself while still making sure that your anxiety doesn't become his. Journal about it, hot bubble bath, do what you have to, just find ways to relax yourself as you get to know him better.

Meal planning most meals, but still leaving a choice if your husband wants it, sewing/mending, general cleaning schedule, and entertaining/hosting parties/dinners. Also, have a signature dish that makes everyone give you a thumbs up at a potluck.

I teach, and I do the same thing as I recommend for my students: -I keep a schedule every day -I change clothes twice a day (workout clothes then shower and put on a dress dress -I do virtual happy hours with my friends friends -I read and practice drawing to make pretty things for the house house -I took up house projects, did a deep spring clean -if it's your thing I will do some bible study and read about a different saint -I give myself tv time after work hours (at the end of the day) -If yo…

I'm so very sorry about your loss. Even though you all didnt use protection, this is NOT your fault. You were acting within your vows and when you made your vows, you did so under the pretense that you would be welcoming life into this world. You have every right to mourn in whatever way is appropriate to you and he needs to respect and support that unconditionally given the situation. If he does not, I would seriously consider your situation. I would also suggest going and seeing a counselor. Y…

I agree with you. I actually had a friend who told me to break up with my husband when we were still dating because he's prolife and she had just finished reading the feminist manifesto (I'm not sure your politics and I'm not bringing it up to start a political discussion, but merely for the point of the story) andi looked at her life, my life and how much better it was getting, and that's where I realized how toxic women can be when they keep encouraging each other to live for themselves when t…

Exactly. It's inexcusable with any person. I just feel like women want equality so bad they need every part of it. You need physical standards, mental standards, social standards; you need everything the same as men and I think they will realize they don't want that so much. There are a few women who do, but they are a sharp minority.

I didn't think everyone should be into me, but sex was how I showed affection is more what I mean. And yeah, there needs to be therapy. A lot of therapy. And if you are someone who has an inkling of codependency, stay away because that was also an issue I had. My mental playground was a mess lol. I'm sorry to hear that though. It's important to remember that there are cycles of abuse, and people see that a lot in men, but they don't talk about it as much with women. It's like it's more forgivabl…

He was very verbally manipulative and sexually abusive. He was arrested for CP and I still couldn't get away until he got sentenced to several years and I snapped back to my senses. We dated for 5 years. To be fair, I had a lot of bad shit happen growing up and I blame it on that. My husband is a fucking champ. I was his first gf, first everything. At first I was like forget this, there must be something wrong with him, but there was something wrong with me by my perception on how sex and a real…

You can by a dip kit at Sally's (if you're in the US) at an inexpensive price.

I'm a little into the month, but my goals are: -Continuing to lose weight (another 4-6 pounds) -improving articulation and poise -continue to add more feminine pieces to the wardrobe and self care routines
