Natalia Dyer, because she's my celebrity crush and is dating Charlie Heaton. IMO, Charlie Heaton isn't all that attractive, but that's just my male gaze doing the talking so take it with a grain of salt. I'm kidding, of course. Honestly, Natalia would probably be considered out of my league but the fact she's with Charlie is proof looks aren't all that matters. I'm more a believer of that women tend to have specific niche's they prefer when it comes to looks. I definitely fill out a niche for a …

women are just more likely to make new friends in general Not in general, only with other women. Generally speaking, women tend to be welcoming of other women but are suspicious/have their guard up around new men (which is understandable). Of course if a man they've never met starts chatting them up, most women would correctly assume he probably wants to sleep with at least one of them. But with all things it depends on the vibe you give off. I do think its possible to break the ice with a mixed…

At 26, I still have no idea if I'm an extrovert or introvert. But on the topic of friends you're just going to have a much harder time integrating into a pre-existing, mixed-gender, friend group as a guy. There's just a much higher potential to have more subtextual power dynamics at play due to drama, exes, crushes, etc. Its becoming harder to find late 20s/early 30s adults that actually act like adults and not like they're still in high school.

Let me guess, predominantly white with an upper class/upper middle class background? Not that I'm shaming but those types of groups tend to have been long established through college or high school friend groups by the time they're in their mid to late 20s and don't take kindly to newcomers, especially if they're men (and I can't say I'd blame them for that either).

You're missing the point. Social/welfare programs don't make a country an authoritarian nanny state. Having your mind being read by a machine under threat of disenfranchisement is. From a utilitarian and public policy perspective empathy is highly subjective. I'll even give you the benefit of the doubt. Maybe your morals and ethics are perfectly fine, but there may come a time when a strongman/dictator/autocratic political party gains control of what those mind-reading machines and decides what …

Holy shit, you just described an authoritarian nanny state that forces people's minds to be read and a caste system reminiscent of Huxley's Brave New World. And empathy is terrible metric from which to judge policies. Some of the worst atrocities were committed by people with the best of intentions. How you can't recognize this fictional society as anything other than evil is astounding.

My guess is that they feel it’s a genetic trick. Another woman answering actually admitted to exactly that. Fortunately, I got lucky enough in the looks department where I don't feel cosmetic surgery is necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/21 05:52 AM

We should instead encourage having a healthy self esteem, confidence, & overall mental health/wellbeing, all of which can be achieved without cosmetic surgery. Beautiful people tend to have higher self-esteem, are more confident, and have better mental health because their non-existent physical deformities aren't potentially yanking them back down into a spiral of depression or self-loathing. Now the first steps should always be: fitness, style, hygiene, skincare, hobbies/lifestyle, etc. But we …

Knowing this answer would come up: Yes, there absolutely could be a variety of non physical, personality issues preventing a person from having success in dating. That being said, cosmetic surgery could still solve the problem by proxy in that eliminating the physical insecurity eliminates any excuse they had. You can't blame your now fixed recessed chin for why women are rejecting you now. Time to work on that personality. Such is the case with some of the incel types obsessed with "bone struct…

And no everyone in the manosphere does not put blame on men. All I read is that women, feminism, society, etc is to blame. Divorced men blaming it on hypergamy and Af/bb. Incels blaming it on tinder, sluts, chads and women having too much freedom and agency. GMAFB. False dichotomy. You can be critical of all those things and still acknowledge that men as a gender and/or you as an individual man are fucked up. When I watch YouTube shows like Aba & Preach, or Fresh & Fit, I'm quite frankly amazed by what the majority of female guests say. Many of them openly talk about doing the things RP warns men about, or as OP said, admit to having a "ho phase" and "bad boy phase". It's almost like listening to accounts from an entirely different culture lol. Fresh and Fit podcast takes place in (and brings on women girls from) Miami. Nuff said. I feel bad for the guys that watch it and think its in any way represe…

I feel like a lot of the women here are beating around the bush about it. Just the conventional personality and lifestyle qualities (not even getting into the physical aspect) that carry broad appeal among women are hard to find. And that's more a referendum on men than it is women. I'm just not buying this "There's someone there for everyone" bullcrap. It's not always a tastes, lifestyle, or "I just haven't found the right match" situation. Let's not lie to ourselves here: there are just some t…

If this was the 90's he'd be the talk of the town. It just so happens that half the country is overweight & the other half is Roided out like Hemsworth. Cultural vogue in America right now Times change, I guess. I don't make the rules, I just communicate them. It's weird women only have to be skinny & can't do that but guys have to be more apparently, the burden always falls us Preaching to the converted. It absolutely does require a lot more hard work and perfect dieting to achieve the ideal ma…

Just because he's not overweight doesn't mean he's going to be successful in the dating market. I'm only an inch taller than OP. 140 lbs isn't underweight according to the BMI calculator but its definitely pretty thin. I'm sure skinny dudes fulfill a niche for a small minority of women so OP could keep trying, or he can cast a wider net into the much larger demographic of women that are into athletic men.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 12:37 AM
1

For sure. Toned dudes with young looking faces do very well in my experience. People are surprised how much better your face can look too with a lower body fat %. As someone who can relate to OP (as a 25 yo dude with a young looking face), it takes a long ass time of consistent work before you can get to that point as a man. It takes most men 2-3 years before they reach 80% of our genetic limit, and maybe an additional 3-4 years before reaching 100% (and thats when PEDs come in).
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 12:17 AM
2

Healthy body, healthy mind. I'm almost exactly the same as OP's position. I have a young-ish looking face at 25. I knew I could either sit on my ass and complain or start picking up heavy shit and setting goals. The best part about lifting is the mental freedom from feeling that my life is stagnating.

No, its that young women (18-22), generally speaking, don't know what they want and/or don't really see building a relationship with another person (which requires work) as a priority. A lot of women at that age group will casually date, but never with the serious intention of committing, or are comfortable just getting into a casual situationship with another guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/21 10:13 PM

Ime, a lot of (not all) black women assume non-black men already aren't attracted to them and so don't really see anyone other than black men as options. And even if you hit it off with a black woman, there may still exist an underlying suspicion you're fetishizing her because of her race.

Terminally online people (which is a lot of people that participate on this subreddit) tend to develop a negativity bias There was this thread a week ago where some of the women were saying that they'll never see men the same way again after reading some of the misogynistic comments on manosphere forums. But none of them ever stopped to think that they were, for some reason, compelled to want to look and if you search hard enough for something, you'll probably find it eventually. Besides, most (…

He was just very conventionally attractive. (6'1" Italian dude from Orlando) Kinda like a bachelorette contestant. Just had a bit of that mischievous look girls at clubs would be really into. Maybe a bit like what you would think of when you hear "fuck boy", but had the self-awareness about his "look" and charisma to put most everyone around him at ease.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/21 10:04 PM
6

You implied you weren't American so maybe that's why you don't hear about it that much. I'd still say that that "culture" and the people who participate in it are an extremely small minority, even here in the sex-obsessed US. What city you're in also plays a big role. You just aren't going to find the same types of women with attitudes about casual sex in Wichita, Kansas as you are in Miami, Florida.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/21 08:44 PM
18

I'll weigh in. For the most attractive guy I knew in my last friend group, he did a bar bathroom hookup twice with two different women he had met that night in the year that I knew him. Really nice guy, overall. He's married now. If you had a woman friend or acquaintance that's ever done something like that, I doubt they would tell you out of fear of being judged.

Vasalgel works by being a gel injected plug for the sperm tube It's actually not a plug. The polymer injected coats the inner walls of the vas deferens and allows sperm through but ruptures the sperm membrane as it passes.

Vasalgel is currently undergoing human trials in Australia under standards approved by the FDA here in the US. If all goes well, it should be approved for use within the next year or two.

First, I think we can both agree that male thirst is causing a significant amount of problems in the dating marketplace. Second, even if you got a huge portion of the male population to stop acting like thirsty, creepy, desperate simps (say 99%), that remaining 1% is still enough to spoil the attitudes of actively searching single women because, as I'm sure you know, creeps are persistent and cast a very very wide net. Believe me, if I could wave a magic wand and make all these types of men disa…

I think its really just about risk mitigation. Like if you were about to jump out of a plane and knew there was a 20% chance the parachute wouldn't open. Sure 80% success rate is good and all but why take the risk in the first place when you have the option to just not jump. Better to just stick to the status quo, because we all know that what women people say they want can negatively impact their investment in the relationship, whether they want it to or not. Hypothetical: Its like if a guy wer…

Women also get into consensus circle jerks because they all want to agree with each other and can’t tolerate dissent. There's a reason its customary to forbid contact between women with eating disorders in psych wards.

Women's drive wanes, men start putting in less effort, and round it goes. I think if you were to ask most women on here they would claim its men putting in less effort that causes drive to go down (which defintely happens btw) but it's almost never mentioned that drive can go down regardless of any drop in effort the man is putting in. Its like living together is this tightrope walk over a pool of alligators. The slightest mistake can fuck up the sexual chemistry of that relationship and send it…

Cooking subs and cooking tiktoks? No, just being online in general. You yourself admitted the majority of your socializing is done through virtual media and that you recognize its a problem. There's your answer. Lower the amount of time you spend online and you'll encounter less woman-hating. The cure to a better life is right in front of you. The real world is calling.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 03:03 AM
3

Problematic. I would lose almost all forms of socializing I have then. You don't see that virtual media being your main source of socializing is a problem? And I'm aware of all the negatives you say, that doesn't stop it from having an effect on me because I don't have grounding. So get some grounding. And if you don't know how, learn. And you might say it's an alternative reality, but is it really? Yes, absolutely. Like minded people congregate together. People with extreme views like to invade…

By being online? No, by not finding a way to ground yourself. Being online is fine as long as you can acknowledge that you're observing an alternate reality. You've admitted to being an introvert, which I can somewhat sympathize with because I also am one. Introverts have a habit of spending an unhealthy amount of time in front of a screen because virtual social interactions are seen as "safer". So you end up taking the misogyny (mostly generated by idiot trolls that get off on a reaction) you s…

Vaginas come in various shapes and sizes and expand to different lengths during arousal, wouldn't you agree? Or are you doubting that from a guy's perspective, some vaginas feel better than others (just like dicks)? Would, "My ex-GF had way better looking boobs," be a better example?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 01:53 AM

At least you've admitted to everyone how you radicalized yourself. I read an incel post not too long ago that reads almost exactly like your comment. This is like the the FDS equivalent of a guy that defines his political identity by looking up "SJW OWNED" videos on YouTube.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 01:47 AM
2

You're entitled to your opinion but saying men ruined their own image. You can just go on any male populated places like reddit, manosphere, 4chan or literally everything else and read what men actually want and think. seems like you're seeking out the places where those men congregate. Its like saying, "You can go to any prison or jail. They're all filled with thieves, rapists, and murderers!"
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 01:40 AM

Do you ever think about how maybe the reason why it seems you are completely surrounded by this perceived misogyny and abuse is due to the fact that you live in an unprecedented time where all the information you could ever want is at your fingertips and women across the world are communicating their experiences in ways they never could? And maybe these same social media outlets are just acting as loudspeakers for assholes and trolls? Maybe what you're seeing is just the veil being lifted from w…

If she’s having sex she’s attracted to you. Nah, women have pity/obligation sex quite often. You can usually tell though from the lack of enthusiasm. But you’re also missing the point that some men aren’t skilled enough to do certain things so shouldn’t be surprised that they aren’t getting the same things. You mean oral? Because that's the only thing I can think of that directly applies to this, but we are talking about something completely different at this point. I'd be more concerned about t…

I can go through each of the points if you want: Pts 1 & 2: I prefer to be physically attracted to my partner. I’ll just leave it at it just shows they have different values and their political opinions just diverge too much from my own. Pt 4. Needs no explanation. I’m not a home wrecker. Pt 5. Narcissism is included as a Cluster B personality disorder. And just because I wouldn’t date a far-leftist doesn’t mean I would date a far-rightist (I definitely wouldn’t).

Don't take dating advice from the demographic you don't want to date. Simple as. Most women I've seen on here have at least two of the following characteristics, many of them self-admitted since I recognize a lot of their usernames and stories by now: Are overweight/obese Are ugly Are extremely far left in their political opinions Are already in relationships Are past the age of 35. I never said it exclusively applies to dumping either but dating and relationships is where the topic most frequently comes up. The Madonna/Whore complex isn't necessarily exclusive for men and in my experience I've seen more condemnation of women's sexual behavior coming from women themselves than from men but that's besides the point. In regards to your first comment: They want women to desire them… but demean the women who show them desire. How is this relevant outside of dating and relations…

If you read my comment, I said it was largely a myth and that some men do think like this. If a woman thinks there is no other reason a man would dump her after sex other than having that mindset, she's lying to herself. There's plenty of reasons a man could dump a woman that don't fit neatly under the prevailing narrative of, "you had sex with him too early so he thinks you're a whore." That's an uncomfortable truth for a lot of women because it suggests the woman might be at fault for him leav…

I think what he means is having a hot girl simp for him. There was a (presumably very attractive) guy on this sub a few months back that talked about what that was like. but if a woman “gives it up too easily”, they don’t respect her because she’s a whore. This is largely a myth perpetuated by women-written dating advice columns. I'm not saying there aren't men who think like this but... Men will almost never directly call a woman a whore to her face after they've slept together for the first time. The assumption, "Oh he thinks you're a whore because you gave it up too easily" is almost always insinuated by the woman. Honestly I can kinda understand why it becam…

The way I see it that feminine roles were redefined in mostly clear ways with tangible goals (right to vote, equal pay for equal work, etc). Women's role in modern society was built from the ground up brick by brick into what we see today. Meanwhile masculinity is still this dilapidated structure with bricks strewn everywhere and random people trying to put together some of the pieces and make something new but nothing is complete. I wouldn't call Hegel a Lutheran or a protestant. He thought Christianity was an oriental religion that was corrupting "traditional german values." He attempted to redefine and deconstruct a lot of the established Christian beliefs such as the essence of God, the Trinity, and the holy spirit, which is why he was so controversial at the time. This is all found in his lectures compiled in "The Consummate Religion". He was essentially interested in the prisca theologia or "primordial theology" from…

There's 2 ways to interpret "men don't value women's intelligence when it exceeds their own.": 1) Past a certain point, intelligence offers diminishing, "negative points" towards overall attractiveness. 2) Past a certain point, intelligence offers no points (neutral) towards overall attractiveness. Some men are in the first camp, others are in the second.

Men can have friends over shared hobbies and interests and at the same time recognize that they have personality traits that would make them unsuitable for relationships. With some friends like "Bob" mentioned above, you're doing their potential relationship partner a favor.

You don’t need empathy to see certain forms of privilege in everyday life. I mean, if you've been psycho-pathologized to see oppression everywhere you look, I suppose you could see privilege while looking empathetic and virtuous. How hard was it for you to come to that conclusion while remaining "empathetic". Everyone should take everything after "I think white men are more privileged" with a grain of salt. But go ahead, please enlighten all of us on how white men have more collective privilege …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 12:59 AM

No, you just want to have your cake without being called prejudiced. Black people (in the US): over-represented in regards to violent crime. Does this mean black people are violent? No, of course not. Men: over-represented in regards to sexual assault against women. Does this mean all men are sexual predators? No. (Well, depending on who you ask in this sub, you might get a yes.) Being wary of the first group = racist Being wary of the second group = not sexist?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 11:58 PM

So you acknowledge that its impossible to notice the differences without seeing through someone else's lens but still believe white men (of which you are not one) are more privileged? That's a contradiction if I ever saw one.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 11:15 PM

Why is it considered racist if you replace "unknown man on the street" with "black person" but this: If I cross the street at night, it's not because I think YOU are a rapist. I just know there are plenty out there, so to feel safe I need to keep my distance. isn't considered sexist?

I don’t know how anyone can argue that porn ISNT exploitative. Lots of women porn stars have explicity and repeatedly said they don't feel they were/are exploited and don't like that they're treated like victims with no agency by anti-porn feminists. Those same porn stars will also be the first to admit that the industry is far from flawless and definitely needs reform, but its also an industry that looks and functions entirely different from the monster it was 20 or even 10 years ago. Color me skeptical. Everytime porn gets brought up you get the same answer: porn is inherently exploitative. And everytime you get the same response: not all porn is exploitative. Not even joking here: the position that straight women don't like their SO's watching porn because they dislike idea of their man receiving sexual gratification from another woman is a waaaay more respectable and defendable argument against porn than the "porn is inherently exploitative" position.

My point is this: women use the phrase "Not all men, but enough men" to justify their cautiousness around men. Are all men a threat to them? Of course not. Are they still justified in their caution? Sure, it is their right to feel cautious, take any precautions, and draw any boundaries they deem necessary. Similarly: Do all women falsely accuse men of being creepy/sexual assault? No, only a very small minority do. But a man is still justified and well within his right to take whatever precaution…

If I decide she's girlfriend material, how soon she has sex with me is a non-issue. At its core, this is really an issue about jealousy, perceived desirability, and not wanting to feel like we were settled for. I don't think this is a gendered issue. Men complaining about what other men get that they don’t get his equivalent to children whining because their sibling got a cookie and they didn’t. It’s childish, immature, and unattractive. It really all has to do with perceived desirability. I wouldn't fault a woman if she ever felt insecure that her current boyfriend treated his way more attractive ex better than her. It's a pretty natural response and comes from a very basic need to feel secure in our romantic relationships. I can acknowledg…

They certainly have some political power but the assertion many Redditors make that Evangelicals are conspiring to set up a Christian theocracy like The Handmaid's Tale is a fantasy. Also "Christian" is a very very broad category. Most Democrats identify as Christian.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 12:58 AM

I don't think evangelicals have as much power as reddit tends to give them credit for. Most evangelicals I know, which is a lot of my family, are actually pretty apolitical but will still vote down ballot red. The crazy ones will of course get the most attention because they are the loudest. But no, I wouldn't consider evangelicals as the defining demographic of the American Right as a whole. But I can understand why liberals and progressives living in deep red areas would feel that way.

It’s quite simple, things like money/occupation/university/etc are symbols of status to the overwhelming majority of people. How much do you think most hedge fund bros make? There are a few prestigious ones in NYC that pay well but you usually must have 10+ years of experience and they are the exception, not the rule. Most HFs pay about $50,000/year starting and maybe $70,000/year for accountants and analysts with a few years experience. Only a very small % of hedge fund jobs at the tippy top pay the big bucks. This is maybe something we'll have to agree to disagree on. I can acknowledge that I have a huge blindspot because I've never been a woman but I have talked to a lot of women about this issue and the responses have been pretty varied. I'm not debating that there may exist a narrative (of which there are many, often conflicting ones in a society) encouraging subservience but the degree to which it has any power over any one individual woman's life in this day and age.

Your assumptions are that the woman in question “only brings beauty to the table in a relationship” In certain cases yes, women do think like this. (Not all women though. There, happy now?) the extreme over abundance of manipulative and emotionally unavailable predatory men is somehow a woman’s fault. Those are both your issues to work through. Because you are not a woman, you do not understand a woman's problems, or their thought patterns or their struggles. Well that's kind of why I asked the question and gave it a Q4W tag. Women chronically deal with slow self esteem issues, which is the root cause of them chasing the emotionally unavailable men. By telling themselves they deserve better, they aim to not fall into the pattern of settling for emotionally unavailable men. Low self-esteem is often NOT the root cause of why women settle…

I tend to be skeptical whenever anyone says anything along the lines of, "society teaches (insert gender) to do/be (insert behavior stated as if it were fact)." You, understandably, would not grasp this because unlike women, you are not raised to believe you should be a submissive, self sacrificing, forgiving doormat. Expecting exclusivity without communicating what you want seems like a separate issue. If guy #2 was also relationship material, I'd be going on dates with both and sleeping with neither. I already said guy #2 wasn't relationship material so why twist the scenario to make guy #2 and guy #1 the same? This isn't a question of exclusivity, its a question of standards. If I were guy #1 I wouldn't be upset with the fact that you had sex with guy #2. I would be upset at the fact that you had sex with …

Hold up, I never said guy #1 "faked" his way into a relationship and only wants sex. Lets assume in this hypothetical scenario that he did earnestly want a relationship with you even if the two of you would have had sex on the first date. You said in your first comment that there is no point in waiting for the guy who is only good for sex (the cute dumb guy). So I'll ask again, do you have two different sets of rules/standards for two different types of guys?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 10:13 PM

You are correct. To clarify, by the Pew Research study I'm basing it off of, single women are at 19% in the 30-49 age bracket, but that goes back up to 29% in the 50-64 bracket and 49% in the 65+ bracket compared to 27%, 27%, and 21% for men in the same brackets respectively.

So you hold 2 different "types" of men to 2 different standards with regards to how soon you are willing to have sex with them? How do you think that would make guy #1 feel if he found out you slept with guy #2 within a comparatively shorter period of time after meeting him?

There's actually less than you would think. Only about 32% of women ages 18-29 are single, vs 51% of men of the same age range. Women tend to date older (many late 20s women dating early 30s men), so that would account for at least some of the lower % of singleness among women compared to men. After 30 it gets even lower (to 19%) as women start wanting to get married, settle down, and possibly have kids with a stable longterm partner if they haven't already.
