A large portion of the argument the post makes is entirely flawed, that self defense only allows you to respond proportionally. If you attacked, you can use whatever tools at your disposal to defend yourself. If someone starts coming at you with nothing but their fists, and you feel threatened, you are not restrained to only using your own fists, use whatever you have. The main difference is that the guy above is wrong, it says in the articles that it was a few days from actually being published and the publisher recalled the copies already sent to stores, but none had actually been sold. The publisher is parting ways with the author on top of that, probably don’t want to be associated.

Actually, I think that's a good thing.
