You're going against the self improvement dogma, thus the downvotes. Of course, other things being equal, a man at 25 has higher value to women than the same man at 40. Unless he was both severely under his potential in youth and improved dramatically, he will be less attractive to the 20-30 target demographic. It is interesting to see how this community balances motivational value vs truth value of comments.

If OP's point is valid as you say, breech of trust is oddly asymmetric. A man is almost always expected to avoid a specific behavior (sex with someone else) in order to keep up the trust. A woman is not generally expected to avoid the supposedly equivalent behavior (giving attention to beta orbiters), and engaging in it seems not to constitute the breech of trust for most people.

Even 1% of the population is a huge number in reality. Imagine being able to have sex at will with every 100th person who passes by. In a dense city like NYC you can easily pass 2000 people per day without trying... and even in dreadful suburbia you can pass by 500 if you try.

They don't just fade, but people get tired of each other. It's completely normal that HB9 in looks won't turn you on any more 3 years and 500 shags later, even if her looks didn't change one bit. After a while, other factors gain importance.

They don't have a duty in the strictly legal sense, that is, you can't sue them if they fail to arrest someone upon a complaint. They are legally allowed to exercise discretion in how they enforce laws and who they arrest, and often do so. However, cops going out on a call and not arresting someone for a major crime, in a dubious situation (a half-naked woman on the lawn claiming she was violated), just because they're a doctor, an ex-cop, or a woman, would amount to doing a poor job of policing…

Indeed, not talking to the police makes all the sense, of course. In the U.S. cops are singularly focused on arresting people and producing evidence, and handing off the strong case to the justice system. Their job does not emphasize community policing, keeping the peace and mediating minor disputes (as it does in some other countries).

Yes, the system is corrupt, but even in an ideal system (one set up along American principles), police would act on complaints, bring in people/evidence, and let the justice system make a determination of what happened.

Cops are enforcing the laws and investigating complaints, not writing them or deciding whether they apply or not. Police have a duty to investigate complaints, and not dismiss them based on a personal hunch. It's up to the judicial system to make those determinations. True. Being a single mother is not always the woman's fault, although it might be in most of the cases. Still, her fault or not, her baggage represents a burden, never an advantage, to all future suitors. Positives that are strong enough to compensate for the disadvantage are rare.

They're permanent, while woman's looks and styles are not. A style that looks appropriate on a 20 year old will almost certainly looks slightly awkward on a 30 year old, and grotesque on a 40 year old. Moreover, in most of the west, traditionally tattoos have been associated with certain classes of people (in the realm of women, the dominant class was "prostitutes", for men it's a wider range). Perceptions are changing, but it's difficult to instantly remove all such associations.

Tattoos might look appropriate on folks who in some way "earned" them by going through certain experiences. However, they generally show poor judgement and look ridiculous on coddled middle-class kids from the suburbia. Tattoos imply a certain toughness, which could be attractive attribute of a man... but on a woman such toughness is usually not attractive beyond implying a solid nasty shag.

It's not my job to "teach her a lesson." It's the job of any upstanding citizen to report violent crimes (or attempts) when they happen, especially if the perpetrator did it with full premeditation and is likely to attempt it again. Reporting this is not about revenge towards her, but duty towards society and saving her next victim.

What in the world is your point here? I never claimed the entire populations of Malaysia or Thailand were ethnic Chinese, just that those countries have sizeable ethnic Chinese groups which are culturally different from PRC folks.

The are sizable ethnic Chinese minorities in both countries. Mostly concentrated in urban areas, and they tend to dominate commerce.

Minor correction: this applies to PRC Chinese, not nearly as much ethnic Chinese from other places (e.g. Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand). Asian TV soaps don't reflect society and prevalent behavior (much as their pearly white stars don't reflect an average Asian woman). They're exaggerated to be interesting.
