Sorry friend. I am not out of touch. Your comment is dismissive which is telling of your intent and ability at discourse and most of all contrasting ideas. I do not fall into the male/female camp so much anymore and think of myself as more of a humanist. You're very provocative towards males when I have found that both males and females are equally capable of the full spectrum of issues, horrors, and acts of kindness. To understand that all people are equal then eliminating inequality is the goa…

I am going to disagree. People, not just men, but men and women should be with partners who are excited to be with them and they are excited to be with. Any relationship that begins with "settling" mentally on either party is a recipe for disaster IMHO. Your analogy is flawed in many ways. Picking a companion based on good enough? Worse yet one that views YOU as good enough. Everyone should be valued.

Yeah, we were playing Madden 97 and it was still new. Let's just say she made an impression.

No / but yes. I was intoxicated at my friend's apartment playing Madden for most of the afternoon. I went down to my car for something, I think it was a pack of smokes and two cops were in the parking lot. They started harassing me about DUI and I said I hadn't been driving. I told them to touch the hood because it was cold and that I had planned on staying at my friend's house. They told me to show them. I went back up to my buddy's apartment and knocked ( I wasn't going to lead the cops into t…

I take issue with anyone who treats any person, group, or kind like they are less due to who or what they are or are not. That is an individual choice of the inflicter. Bigotry is a stain on the human condition.

Yes sir. It's funny how people just jump in and trust. They get turned on and wonder what happened. Don't get me wrong. I'm not ultra suspicious or a loner. My inner circle is small and I don't extend myself in a way that gets me left holding the bag.

The reality is, like in all true rights movements. The voice for equality is often knocked down, and knocked down hard. We are lucky in this day and age to even have this venue to speak to one another. Understand that there are going to be many times that you are going to walk uphill and against the wind all alone. Be okay with that. My second piece of advice is never attack, belittle, or degrade the other side. Others will disagree with me on this, and that's okay. You can advocate for yourself…

They feel that by standing on others or getting their "good guy" cards stamped they will be rewarded with the adoration of those they save, and in fact deserve. The champion fantasy manifest. I don't need success, effort, or personality. I just need the single act to CONVINCE them and they will be FORCED to lust and adore them. It's cheap, it's hollow, and it is championed by groups of people who would stab each other in the back at the drop of a hat for a scrap of any, and I mean ANY recognitio…

To add to this. You set your own bar. To give people a 7/10 all the time that is the expectation. Not because of them, because of you. You also control the amount you give day 5/10. Now if you are giving 7/10 as a means to influence of "get" people to be or perform a certain way, you will be let down and need to reflect on your motivations.

Sounds like she is getting the just rewards for her actions. The grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence it's greener where you water it, but it will never grow in a rocky field. You reap what you sow.

Also remember be very careful about being negative towards the abuser when talking to the abused. They can be super defensive of them in the beginning it's part of the psychological damage. Just be supportive let him know he has worth. You value him as a person. Bashing her can cause a backlash if they are not ready to face that part yet.

How did you read that in what I wrote. What I was saying was that if the person is in a relationship it should be monogamous unless both agree that it's not. The conversation prior was trending that they are not. Maybe I didn't convey that properly.

Personal preference aside it's more of an argument of single partnership and bringing others in. You can have a boyfriend/ girlfriend who is bi in nature but them being with someone of the same sex while with you is still cheating unless your relationship is such that you have discussed that you are okay with it and that you are infact okay with your partner having that emotional connection with another person. The fact that they are aligning with those of the same and opposite sex is irrelevant…

This should be taught everyone at birth and repeated each year to the day they die.
