I meant that they ought to and it's worth adding to the plan.

Oh I will. Then I'm gonna spend her child support payments on ways to ruin her life.

Sometimes I read posts on here and think I literally did write them on another account or something. My ex left my 4.5 year old with a friend while she went off on vacation to celebrate her anniversary with her affair partner. Didn't tell me. Our trial was also postponed a ton, and will be coming up here shortly. Actual trial though. I got proof and my lawyer says it will be extremely damming. Parents get right of first refusal to their children. Make sure it gets added to the parenting plan. Sh…

We all process pain differently. It has been very hard for me, I'll admit. I'm sad that anyone has to deal with this in life.

When my wife said she was leaving I begged her for marriage counseling. I begged her to try and work out our problems with me. A few days later, when I caught her in the affair she'd been having for months, she shrugged and left. In court, my lawyer asked her if I'd ever asked her to reconcile and do counseling. She laughed on the stand and said, "Yeah, but I wasn't going to do that." The judge immediately ordered a five minute recess and told my wife's attorney to get her client under control. …

I mean, you can certainly get a lawyer together and let them draw everything up. It will be far cheaper. If only women were capable of this level of accountability.

My ex left and took nothing. She accused me of preventing her from trying to get her things, when the truth is, she never requested anything or made any attempt to come get her things. When she did come, she demanded the police kick me out of my home and allow her in, unsupervised. This is 15 months after she moved out. They obviously told her to fuck off and she got mad so now she is filing suit against me. Legally speaking, she could come smash a window at any time and gain entry. It's legally…

I've struggled to keep my heart from hardening in all this. I feel like someone with a naturally kind heart, but this pain has made me angry and vindictive and spiteful.

I think, when it comes to our kids, we know that we lose no matter what. Getting revenge just hurts the kids and throws your life away.

I fear this. My ex truly believes that she is going to win primary work child support, but every way you look at it, it's actually me that will win it. I think she'll resort to something drastic like that.

The judge will sort all that out. Just bring paperwork and show that you're owed half and the judge will grant it to you.

Hey brother. I'm 29 as well, and while my marriage itself was longer, we were at ten years total as well. I know how you're feeling. It hurts. Hell, my divorce isn't even final yet. I've realized recently, however, that I'm not healed yet. Maybe closure after the divorce will be easier, but I know I can't date yet. I tried and realized I only wanted to be friends. I can't open up to anyone yet because I still love my wife. I don't know that I'll ever get over it, but at least I understand now wh…

You got your answer but I just want to remind you that "amicable" means something different to women. To them, it means "do everything I want and I won't accuse you of DV." It does not mean fairness.

Why would a court give an annulment if you own a house together? Normally the court would order you to quit claim it.

Eviction order? Buddy, that's your home. Do not leave. She cannot make you. Stop thinking there is any good faith. She is now 100 % you're enemy and needs to be viewed as such. She has flipped the switch and is looking to destroy you. Trust someone who has seen it a million times. Trust this sub. You're not the exception.

I'm so shocked about this statistic. My divorce had no chance of being mediated, and that feels so normal to me. I'll be back in front of the judge in December for hopefully the last time, but it's been over a year already.

I'd like to think that, since the home continued getting paid for during the marriage by you both, it became intermingled with marital assets, so you're entitled to half. Who knows though. If you're both on the mortgage though that could help. I'm the opposite. Only I'm on the mortgage but she's on the title.

No, not really, other than being able to blind side the ex. It didn't matter in my case.

Don't look for logic where there is none. Women all do this. They get what they want and then abandon the father. Most animals eat the father's head. Women haven't learned how to fight their animal instincts to fit into society like we've had to.

It's always malicious intent. They don't have the capacity to be compassionate. They go full, bloodthirsty evil when they leave. Everything will always be your fault and you'll be a narcissistic abuser for the rest of your life.

No, she doesn't. Do not leave your home. Judges tend to look at how things have been going and make rulings similar to the status quo. Stay in the home, don't accept anything she says.
/r/Divorce_Men30/09/23 06:42 PM

Did you contact your ex and tell her you'd be a bit late on it? Either way you reimbursed her ready so, no, I doubt a judge would entertain that.

You were raised to seek peace. I was too. Some women like that, I'd argue more don't. It makes dating harder for sure when I have everything they don't realize they want.

Unintelligent people follow their instincts blindly. Sexual instincts no longer fit into the society we've built, but sadly, women's sexual instincts have a much more destructive outcome.

Yep. Her ring was $4k. Mine was $20 on Amazon. Hers is hers and I'll never see it again.
/r/Divorce_Men29/09/23 03:04 AM

A lot of people consider her ring to be her property, and most judges don't divide the value. Sadly that's a lost asset.

I think everyone considers this. My mom, when my dad left us, said that she was so afraid of losing to him that she considered leaving the country and just starting a new life. She stayed and fought and won everything she deserved. Even being the strongest person I know, she still says she contemplated that being her best choice. I think about it a lot. Starting fresh in a new country. But I'd still have to pay child support and I'd never stop missing my kids.
/r/Divorce_Men29/09/23 12:33 AM

I'm not afraid of her, it's her desire and potential to destroy everything I hold dear in life that, and a stranger making the final decision that scares me.

I plan on making a big victory post. Men need to see that we do can win. I'm in a very good position, but it's still nerve racking to have someone who doesn't know me be in charge of the most important aspect of my life. All the judge has to do is get a bad vibe from me and suddenly I'm getting no visitation with my kids and I'm paying all my money to a vindictive, evil woman who abused and betrayed me.

Wow she's a moron then. You made out like a damn bandit 😂 She may still sue you for it though. But until then, ghost her completely. Unless you have a court order to settle it mutually, I'd say you're scot free my man.

A quitclaim deed is the official document to transfer ownership of property, such as a house or a car. You quit your claim over the property. Courts order them after divorces. If her name is on the title, she needs to quitclaim it over to you. You want to do that ASAP, because it will keep rising in value and she may have a case in the future when it's got way more equity. Frankly, I don't understand how you got an annulment when you bought a house together. Usually that large an asset makes ann…

Low ball her and tell her any counter offer will be immediately denied and it will go to court. Make her call your bluff. Worst case, you litigate and it gets split. Best case, she avoids a costly trial, especially if she needs the money. I'm in the same boat. VA loan, all payments made from an account that was never comingled and fed exclusively by my VA disability. She left ten months into living here and I've been here for two years already. My lawyer says I will get a credit toward the equit…

I don't get why all the comments so far say she gets half. Is she suing you for half? Has the court ordered you to sell it and give her half? Do you need her to quitclaim it over to you or refinance without her? Otherwise, tell her to pound sand. She isn't your wife. She doesn't tell you what to do.

Love isn't the point of marriage. It's a nice biproduct. Get yourself into marital counseling and start learning what your vows meant.
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/23 03:57 AM

You're not her first choice. How can you ever trust her again? I feel that same way. I love the woman my wife was. But you have to remember that the woman you married is dead, and the woman she is killed her.

Very proud of you. Cheaters never prosper. You are clearly a loving father and a faithful man of God. Congratulations on winning where you can in a lose/lose situation.
/r/Divorce_Men26/09/23 03:35 AM

All depends on the judge. I'm likely going to win primary because my ex moved too far away to make 50/50 viable and I have a home and stable job. Helps I live in Missouri, too.

How can he force the sale? Doesn't she have a say? I ask because I'm in the reverse situation. I stayed and she left. I want the house and can afford it. Surely she can't force me to sell it...

Straight facts, brother. Women aren't human.
/r/Divorce_Men24/09/23 11:28 PM

Your lawyer can delay for lots of reasons. They'd be the best person to ask. I delayed because I wanted a GAL. She delayed because she expected me to slip up and do something stupid. None of it makes a lick of difference in the end. But I wanted it delayed as well. I want the housing market to drop.

And sadly, boys are taught that so we can be more desirable to women. It's a self-fueling cycle. I wouldn't date a tough, hyper independent woman. She wouldn't date a wimpy codependent man.
/r/Divorce_Men05/09/23 01:17 PM

She's not wrong that you should've known, but obviously that doesn't make her affair your fault.
/r/Divorce_Men05/09/23 01:16 PM

Yep. When I realized that love is a complete and utter lie, that's what broke me. Discovering that only the parent-child bond is worth nurturing. Women have instincts like black widows or praying mantises. Get the seed, devour the male.
/r/Divorce_Men05/09/23 01:12 PM

My mother in law did it. Told my wife to have an affair and introduced her to several men behind my back.
/r/Divorce_Men05/09/23 01:10 PM
4

She never worked and had substantial credit card debt. Plus she admitted to the judge that she wanted all of my money so she could stay at home and never work. My lawyer trapped her with some smart questions. She asked my ex if she'd be willing to stay at home with the kids all the time if I paid child support rather than going to work. It was a trap. She said yes, which was the wrong answer, because it showed the judge she only wanted my money.
/r/Divorce_Men04/09/23 12:48 PM
5

She argued that my ex was extremely irresponsible with money, showed malice, and that I had only moved the money out of her reach and had not spent it. Judge just ordered it to go into a trust until it can be divided. Alls the better she did, since now my ex can't argue that I used it for attorney fees and should therefore have to pay for hers. And yeah, her attorney was trash. I actually really enjoyed being on the stand because I kept making her attorney look stupid and get frustrated. Finally…

Can you explain to us why this is a legal matter if she isn't your wife? Do you live in a common law marriage state?
/r/Divorce_Men04/09/23 03:58 AM
9

Nothing is relevant if you're lawyer can't make it so, and vice versa. My lawyer made my wife's affair the worst thing in the world, and made the fact that I stole our savings, kept the better car, and specifically told the kids some awful truths about their mother total non issues. Having the better lawyer is all that matters.
