It is not coincidental that men are second class citizens in our society. Men back up women and women back up women, but men do not back up other men and struggling men are pretty much invisible to women.

This is tangential, but I'm thinking of going back to school to prepare for a new career, and I'm not sure of which sex to be. In the areas I'm interested in female students would likely be favoured. I'll probably refrain from declaring a sex to leave my options open later. I love self-identification! It's very user-friendly and it cannot be challenged.

This week there is a story about a Spanish man who evaded jail for domestic violence by changing his legal sex to female. The law does not treat men and women equally.

The only problem here is the misandry of the Spanish legal system. They have one set of laws for men, and another set for women.

I've spent my career as a white male. I'll probably be retiring soon but I don't want to stop working so I'm considering options for retraining and doing something different with my time. In my second career I'm definitely open to being female or not white, if that will help my career. In the country I live in all that is required is that I say "I'm female" or "I'm ethnic group X". Self-identification cannot be challenged.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
