Your cohabitating spouse or SO should have their own bedroom.I agree that you should have your own space. I got married too young and my personal identity was swallowed up. Also, you never know if they are going to become a loud snorer! | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/09/24 01:34 AM
| – | Is this just them being too sensitive? So for the first part of my life I was that sweet, passive, naive girl that worried too much about hurting other people’s feelings, and it is so much worse to be that way. I’m not that person anymore, so I’m trying to figure out where that sweet spot is. It takes trial and error. I am honestly surprised, because women give each other social cues like this all day long and don’t take offense to it. I’ve had a woman talk my head off before and I finally just said bye and left the room. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/24 10:47 PM |
| – | Is this just them being too sensitive? When I was younger I learned that being too nice actually caused more pain in the long run. If I would have answered the door and talked to him, it would have led him on further. I at least waved at him and smiled before turning back around. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/24 10:40 PM |
| – | Is this just them being too sensitive?I don’t see it that way. It’s more like it started off neutral, he took it somewhere else, and I gave a social cue that was meant to take it back to neutral territory. I’ve had other women in a professional setting give me social cues like this before because they were busy or whatever, and I didn’t take it personally. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/04/24 10:33 PM |
The fact that so many women experience hostility when they reject men has less to do with men’s instability and entitlement, and much more to do with women’s delusional standards and inflated egosWhen I was 16 years old, I lived about a block from my sister’s house. I left her house and had just started walking down the street to my house, when some young guy, probably early 20s, stopped his car and tried to say hi to me. I ignored him and just kept walking, and it appeared that he drove off in the other direction. He turned around, and something inside of me told me to start running, so I did. He chased me in his car, and accidentally ran up on the curb not too far from my house. I was … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 09:30 PM
The fact that so many women experience hostility when they reject men has less to do with men’s instability and entitlement, and much more to do with women’s delusional standards and inflated egosHe’s trying to shame you because you stepped out of line by holding an opposing belief, and you are falling for it by getting back into line by showing him the “correct” beliefs that you still hold. Who exactly is the sheep here? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 08:01 PM
The fact that so many women experience hostility when they reject men has less to do with men’s instability and entitlement, and much more to do with women’s delusional standards and inflated egosEvery woman has her own standards, some too low, and some too high, in my opinion. This is entirely subjective to each person, and not really the point of the original discussion. He is blaming men’s hostility at being rejected on women. That is the real discussion here. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 07:45 PM
The fact that so many women experience hostility when they reject men has less to do with men’s instability and entitlement, and much more to do with women’s delusional standards and inflated egosSo basically, lower their standards so you don’t have to put in the work. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 07:39 PM
The fact that so many women experience hostility when they reject men has less to do with men’s instability and entitlement, and much more to do with women’s delusional standards and inflated egosHe’s attempting to feel better about how he’s handled rejection by blaming it on the women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 07:29 PM
The fact that so many women experience hostility when they reject men has less to do with men’s instability and entitlement, and much more to do with women’s delusional standards and inflated egosThis is what I take from your post: You believe that you are a mild mannered and normal dude. When women reject you, it hurts your ego, so you are lashing back out at them. You are blaming them instead of accepting the rejection and working on yourself. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 07:14 PM
It's a good idea for men to get practice girlfriendsThat’s what your teens and 20s should be for. For both sexes. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 04:41 PM
Is Misogyny Systemic?Families may be a smaller system than society as a whole, but they are all interconnected and affect each other. When women are subjugated in their own families, then it affects the overall system as well. For example, if your liver is diseased, it will have detrimental affects on your whole body. You can’t say that it is just your liver that has the problem, but the whole body is sick as well. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 04:30 PM
Is Misogyny Systemic? For me, it existed in the minds of the men in my family. They may hide it in public, but some are still trying to play these roles out in privacy. I’m talking about late millennial men and older. I’m not sure what women younger than me are experiencing. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 03:47 PM
Is Misogyny Systemic?I am an older millennial that grew up in a state that borders the south, and society has most definitely improved since I was a kid. It still exists to some extent in my generation, and the ones that come before. You’re right that we are in a transitional stage, and it definitely exists in pockets where I live, and probably is worse than other more progressive states. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/03/24 03:44 PM
Being slightly neurodivergent is more of a dealbreaker for most women than being a complete scumbagThat’s what I mean though. People with Autism and ADHD can genetically have underdeveloped frontal lobes, which affects their executive skills. These include organization, planning, and regulating their emotions. It takes a whole lot of practice and self awareness to be able to overcome these problems, and it takes your whole life. In my experience, neurotypical people don’t have the patience or understanding to know how to deal with this, and instead will run away from them, or even worse, look… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/03/24 07:08 PM
Being slightly neurodivergent is more of a dealbreaker for most women than being a complete scumbagI am neurodivergent due to trauma. I have Complex PTSD, and I live my life in both worlds. There are times when I struggle with executive functioning due to triggers that throw me into a deep depression, and I have to mask in the outside world in order to keep a job and not ruin my life. Then, when the CPTSD is in remission, I don’t have to mask anymore and my normal resembles that of someone that is neurotypical. In my opinion, neurotypical people are afraid of those that are different, so they… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/03/24 04:46 PM
