| 1 | For any dad going through divorce who knows he really triedI’m in California. There is no such thing as 50/50 time share with the kids. The court will order more time with one parent even if it’s joint custody because the court views this as the best interest of the child. I feel your pain. It’s unfair to fathers. Kids are innocent but they suffer divorce consequences. You gotta get through it somehow someway. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/01/26 03:38 AM |
| 1 | For any dad going through divorce who knows he really triedMy divorce proceedings lasted 2 years. It was a contested custody case. Court hearings were scheduled every two months. My time before the court was no more than 10 minutes at these hearings. I had an attorney. I don’t know when I had this thought but I told myself if anybody is to judge–it’s God. | 3 | General CT Divorce QuestionHaving no kids in a divorce is a blessing. Courts will decide by the law with financials. My custody case was 2 years. Spent over $100K. Stay focused, busy and exercise. Do whatever rocks your boat to stay calm. Never show your emotions to the court. Have a routine to stay cool, calm and collected. Stay away from booze. Good luck! | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/26 09:58 PM |
| 1 | The moment I realized my "Duty" meant nothing to the courtWell said. Litigation gets emotional. Those who can control their emotions do better in court. Do not hide financials or anything from the courts. Try to recognize a pattern on how the courts run the system. For example, on your court day, did you get the outcome in your favor? Was the pattern the same throughout the court proceedings? Did you go home feeling upset after every court hearing? Caveat, do not leave it up to the attorneys or the courts. I’m writing a book to recover my money from 2 … | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/26 09:47 PM |
