| -5 | Dua Lipa - Boys will be BoysThe phrase "boys will be boys" is routinely used to excuse sexualised violence by men. That's why it's used here. Feminism isn't what gave it that context. It's also wants to point out the irony that at the same time, "girls will be women" in the sense that 1) they're get sexualised from a very young age and 2) they are told to take (often unreasonable) measures to protect themselves. | /r/MensRights | 22/10/21 08:44 AM |
| 1 | Testosterone has NOT been linked to aggression or hostilityThe pay gap itself is quite well proven by simple statistics. Of course how it is caused and what it means are much more up for debate. Toxic Masculinity meanwhile isn't really that easy to prove since it's a social concept. But it's quite easy to see it on a daily basis. So those concept very much do have a hold on reality. Also, I do also see myself as a feminist. And I am not agenda driven, no more than anyone else, anyways. (Everyone here is to an extent i suppose, with the agenda being to g… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 18/03/20 12:05 PM |

| -1 | Testosterone has NOT been linked to aggression or hostilityI unfortunately do not have the time to read it all right now, given private circumstances related to COVID-19. I do see some of the criticism at the start of the post, however. Also thought, the point about male sexual assault which is like five paragraphs is pure whataboutism. In general I've started to take everything from r/MensRights with a big grain of salt given the occasionally quite extreme misogyny and anti-feminism that parts of it tend to portray. It is important to realise that it's… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 16/03/20 04:41 PM |
| 0 | Testosterone has NOT been linked to aggression or hostilityIf they do not name anybody involved to anyone, however, it still does not really do damage to anyone personally and is thus not too much of an issue (apart from overloaded authorities i suppose). Meanwhile, it is still crucially important to believe victims of rape and sexual assault at least when talking to them (not in a legal) way, to protect their mental health, not traumatize them further and thus allow/encourage them to reveal more information. Thus, #believewomen and #metoo movements are… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 16/03/20 04:30 PM |
| -1 | Testosterone has NOT been linked to aggression or hostilityFalse rape allegations are not actually as big/as common as an issue as they're made out to be. They mostly do not name a perpetrator or are not even done by the women themselves but rather by their parents or they are pressured into making them. Thus false rape allegations rarely have any malicious intent behind them and often do not do anyone any harm and so cannot really be called violence. There are of course a few cases that are malicious and that may be categorized as violence bit that is … | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/03/20 06:59 AM |
| 3 | Testosterone has NOT been linked to aggression or hostilityThank you for presenting contrativting research too, I was already looking to check that. Still, does this study really show that testosterone causes aggression? Since correlation does not equal causation it could also be the other way around. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/03/20 06:49 AM |
| 1 | Why are men more successful? Because failure for a man is a whole lot worse than failure for a woman. All this will do is harm men who have to fight even harder to escape from the grips of destitution that plagues them when they fail to succeed. While I agree that these kind of quotas are misguided, I don't think any of the men being bypassed trying to get into a board of directors are in any real threat. These people are already succesful and have enough money. Possibility 1 is not an option for anyone who genuently calls themselves left wing. Nr. 2 is obviously necessary, for both men and wome… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 12/03/20 05:07 PM |
