I do think it's more of a European thing; I've had several male friends spend a lot of time in various points in europe and said women in (mostly northern, western) europe are way more down to have sex. Their theory is that the men over there are much less aggressive so women are less likely to have their defenses up or feel shamed from the sex.

I was an escort, and the average age of the person who saw me was 45 i think, and a lot of them weren't attractive, but some of them absolutely were. There was this one guy, could have been a movie star, was the CEO of a very romantic business. He saw me cause he was married, had a don't-ask-don't-tell arrangement, and didn't want to fuck anybody in his personal life.

For men, these two things are way more conflated than for women, I think. A lot of men only really feel loved when they feel sexually validated.

Can be lots of things, but typically comes down to a lack of attention on my responses. It can be sort of extreme; one guy would just rub my clit and after a minute command me to cum and in my head i'd be like... are you serious? this is *not* going to make me cum, but he kept telling me to, so I pretended to. He obviously wasn't actually noticing if I liked what he was doing.

I cannot advertise, this is against the rules of onlyfans and I would get booted off the platform. You must have seen an identical person to me, with a different name, who is definitely not me. She sounds cool.

Yeah I don't get the "facial symmetry = attraction" crowd. It seems extremely obvious you can have a symmetrical and yet highly unattractive face.

This is the thing that really turned me off the red pill. I'm probably as pretty close to sympathetic to redpill philosophy as you can find in someone who's not an outright conservative, but the more I dug into it the more I realized that there was no place for 'me' in it. There was no actual ideal woman figure they were encouraging me to be; there is no salvation for women in their theology.

I did a survey and nearly 2/3rds of men who saw escorts were in relationships, and their partners didn't know about it. Seems to me it's a way for men to get novel sexual experiences outside of their committed relationship (or any sexual experience at all, for some men), without having a complicated relationship with someone they know in the real world. Escorts have clearly delineated lines around their experience with you, making it perfect for married men.

I used to do sex work, aaand definitely women can come close to that. It's more successful if you bury the transaction a couple of steps away from conscious attention. For example, this is why camsites use "tokens" instead of money and don't have a 1-to-1 ratio of dollar to token.

This is probably somewhat the point, similar to how peacocks expend a lot of energy in a 'wasteful' display to show to the females how much energy they have that they can just waste it.

This is exactly the argument I made here: https://knowingless.com/2016/08/21/power-imbalances-and-sex/ ! I strongly agree.

I didn't control for reporting fear. All reports were anonymous. There may have been some skew due to shame despite the anonymity, but I doubt the skew is entirely due to that.

If you don't write anything sexual, a good portion of the contact you get is explicitly sexual. If you do write something sexual, it's like bleeding into a pool of sharks. There's strong incentive for women to not be sexually explicit in online profiles.

I got them from my tumblr, my twitter www.twitter.com/aella_girl, and /r/SampleSize. Most of my followers skew male, as well as I assume demographics on r/samplesize, so most ended up being male yes. I controlled for this in the gender reflection in the image by duplicating female responses to get equivalent percentages.

Yknow that weird japanese porn where they stick eels in each other's butts? That's one subsection. I forgot exactly how I defined the kink in-survey but it was something like "insects, rodents, small creatures, seafood"

I don't doubt this is true, but if you go to myfreecams and sort by camscore (which is a calculation of money earned per hour averaged over past 60 days), you'll notice very few of them appear to be over 35.

I think I have long, happy, healthy relationships. I also mildly shit test new men. These aren't strong, awful shit tests, and usually I don't know I'm doing it - but can be teasing them, playfully pushing back against things they say - to see if they have the confidence to stand up to me, or if they're just trying to make me happy and comply as much as possible in order to get laid. I don't do this once we're in a relationship anymore, because I'd be an idiot to get into a relationship with som…

Girls who earn that much are higher visibility. I did a survey years ago of around 200 camgirls and their reported average hourly earnings were $40/hr.

The sex workers I know personally don't mind the term prostitute, but will never use this publicly for fear of legal issues. Sugar babies definitely have a weird thing going on where they're doing pseudo prostitution (but it isn't always 100% transactional; for example I know at least one SD/SB pair that does things that look a lot like boyfriend/girlfriend like helping each other when sick), but definitely don't want to view themselves as prostitutes. I view SBs as just another extension of nor…

Yeah i thought that was due to the law. It's illegal to advertise prostitution in a lot of countries, but escorting is legal, so if you contact any escort and mention prosecution she's gonna assume you're law enforcement.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/19 09:39 PM
1

E-thots (speaking as an ex e-thot) isn't that much different than prostitution in regards to deceiving clientele (speaking also as an ex-prostitution dabbler). The thing e-thots have going for them is the dynamic of high visibility, where men gain status from approval in front of other men. Also definitely have some hoe friends who speak the same way about their clients as my camgirl friends do.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/19 09:39 PM
1

Yeah, this is true. The risk of law enforcement, fake photos, and STD risk go down dramatically when you increase the price of the escort. So it is possible to do it pretty safetly, it's just gonna eat your wallet.

Idk if you get expensive ones they're pretty clean, mostly cause they have to be because their livelihood depends on it. I have a few friends who escort and they get tested constantly. They've also never caught anything despite doing it for years!

I've done a few different types of sex work for yeaaars and this is partially true. Validation and admiration are important, but also just general intimacy. A lot of men don't get the feeling of closeness/emotional safety anywhere else, and sexual acceptance is a good way to get there. Good sex workers are good at handling this and sometimes start to blur the line towards therapy. Obviously it's hit or miss, but sometimes it can be really powerful. I had one guy who, when our session started, en…

I don't doubt this is true, but it feels soooo far removed from the culture I'm in. It feels like you're talking about a foreign country to me almost. Like, I have all my sexual partners in a spreadsheet with some other data so I can see trends over time, and I feel zero shame in sharing it with anybody I'm dating. Most of the girls I know are in a similar boat. Again: Not saying your experience is wrong, just it seems culturally different.

Idk, I used to have a lot of casual sex and I absolutely don't remember most of it. I keep records of people I have sex with and if I didn't I would have totally forgotten that some of my sexual partners even existed.

They definitely are in a lot of ways! But they are similar in that they are both valid sexual strategies - in that both of them are methods that are used, sometimes successfully, to reproduce/carry on genes.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/19 09:05 PM

Rape is also a valid sexual strategy. Valid sexual strategies often include hurting people, on both sides of the gender coin. Guilt usually happens when someone hurts someone else. This is why some men feel bad for doing this, regardless of the validness of the sexual strategy.

In a way, it never happens - there's this sort of existential solitude that's more or less apparent depending on how much you have someone in your life. But finding someone as in the idea of a 'soul mate' or something feels increasingly flexible to me, specifically because I feel deeply in touch with the existential pain of loneliness. I'm in contact with that always, and so my actions feel less motivated out of fear of it. If I'm going to end up without a primary life partner, that might hurt, …

I'm 27 - almost at the wall! I don't think my younger self could have cashed in - the person I was at 18-13 was immature and had a lot of emotional issues, and so I would have turned off mature, healthy people, ending up with similarly fucked up people who were incentivized by my beauty to be with me. I just keep getting pickier as I get older, but I'm also more at peace with the idea of never finding someone.

Paying for sex is a great option! Unfortunately it's illegal in the US and can often carry massive social stigma.

I've spent years as a sex worker and I do think it's a need. But it's not 'about sex' - sex signifies the acceptance of you as a sexual person. And this is also kind of wrapped up in men traditionally feeling unable to have intimacy with anyone but their sexual partner. Men want to feel desired and have intimacy, and sex functions as a huge signifier of this for them. I consider it detrimental to someone's mental health if they want to but are unable to have sex for too long a period.

Okcupid has some data on this: https://theblog.okcupid.com/the-case-for-an-older-woman-99d8cabacdf5 It concludes that statistically speaking, a woman's desirability peaks at the age of 21.

Yes and no, I think it's really complicated. Sex work is hard to tease out from cultural responses to sex work, and it carries a more profound meaning pre-birth-control-era. Before that, in most cultures, you could basically bet that a sex worker has had a kid or is gonna have a kid soon, and committing to a LTR with a woman with a child who's not yours is obviously bad if you're trying to propogate your genes successfully. So yeah, 'social difficulties' that arose from sex work for the vast maj…

I wonder if there's not cofounders? If you take any profession that's on the borders of what's acceptable in society, you're gonna disproportionately get people who have a harder time in the normal parts of society. This isn't necessarily a function of the job itself, but rather the way society relates to that job. If we had a huge social stigma against plumbers then I would bet a lot of money that we'd see greater rates of 'social difficulty' in people who end up becoming plumbers.

My slut story: I was homeschooled and isolated from most media, so the early socialization about flirting and sexiness and stuff was totally absent for me. After I left home and lost my religion, I had to figure out how to handle sex, totally devoid of context or cultural norms. I wanted to be as rational as possible. I figured, if I am aroused and want sex, then it doesn't make any rational sense at all to not have sex with someone else who also wants it, if we're both having a good time. So, f…

This is one of my primary confusions about redpill stuff as well. I'm pretty sympathetic to redpill philosophy, don't get me wrong, but the one way in which it falls short is that I don't feel like it has room for me. In religion, which is super patriarchical, there is a clearly defined role for a good woman. I don't like religious gender systems but I can understand how you'd argue that I should fit your role of a good woman. With redpill stuff, I feel like no matter what I do I will never gain…

No, not at all. I'd probably pick the rich person, and likewise I suspect women in general have it better in today's society. I'm just trying to evoke empathy for the struggles of being a rich person. Even if someone has it 'objectively' better than you, their internal pain is just as valid. And if you're rich, it can be legit hard to find emotional connection with most people, and it makes total sense that you'd go hang out with other rich people where that weird power dynamic isn't present. Imagine being very rich, everyone around you is poor, and everybody knows you're rich. It would be kinda nice - you'd get invited to parties, people would be super nice to you - but it would probably feel hollow because you know they basically just want your money. And it gets annoying to try to suss out who's legit. It's not even their fault really, they can't help it. So maybe all you want is to find just one other rich person who doesn't view you as a thing that they need in order to feel sec…

I was a sex worker for years and got to know a lot of guys for whom I was their only outlet. My guess is that it's a lack of clear narrative. Go back a few decades and there's a set role laid out for men - go here, do that, make good money, ask a girl on a date or you're a pussy, etc. Nowadays what people are 'supposed to do' is waaay less clear. Women are strong and independent! Are you supposed to ask them out? Don't be creepy. The existence of the male role in contrast to the female is gettin…

Idk about the happy measure - anxiety seems like a better measure to me. You might be heading in the right direction with 'less to lose' - risk taking as a metric probably is way higher in people who choose sex work, much as it is in people who choose any sort of profession that reduces your acceptance in mainstream society. Risk taking seems to be a generally higher variance thing to me, not strictly good or bad; it leads people to do stuff like entrepreneurship and pushing in more creative or …

Sorry, it's been a while since I used the lingo; I did mean RMV too. I am totally down with evopsych and often champion the fact that men and women have different mating strategies based on yadda yadda pregnancy resources input. I run a successful blog that says this stuff. I think this is half true? And sometimes all the way true, for some people. In my experience, I viewed sex work as something that was a vaguely bad thing, like if I did it I would feel gross about myself or devalued. This prevented me from entering. Then eventually (out of desperation, yes!) did camming, and realized that I did not feel gross about myself and that I actually was having a fun time. You might be right! I think the issue is a little nuanced though, and I swear to god I think it has to do with social bubbles. I was a camgirl for five years and lived in a house with other camgirls. We discussed a lot our relationship to boys, and I noticed a difference in all of our attitudes to relationships. I personally didn't register any damage to my SMV for being a camgirl. I did a study on camgirls years ago, and found that there's significantly higher proportions of anxiety and depression among camgirls than the general population. My theory is that women with anxiety/depression have trouble holding down stable education and jobs, and thus are more likely to look for jobs with lower barrier to entry and higher flexibility, such as camming. This also means that they're probably gonna have greater trouble in relationships.

I've been a sex worker for years and have had no issue finding long-term, stable relationships or awesome people willing to date me. I'm sure people not-dating sex workers is the norm in some cultures, but in mine it's not a problem.

I've been a sex worker for a loooong time and never had issues finding anyone to date. In more liberalish communities, girls doing sex work is pretty common and most people don't seem to have a problem with it. If I still lived in Idaho, though, the story would definitely be different.

I was a camgirl for five years and also did a study on camgirls - take it with a grain of salt (the study was done when I was still learning statistics) but I found camgirls reported as having significantly greater issues with anxiety and depression than the rest of the population. I suspect this is because women with anxiety and depression have trouble holding down normal jobs with a boss, and so look for more flexible alternatives.

I know one guy who was falsely accused of rape (I was present during the supposed time the rape took place). It was horrible. I know another guy who was falsely accused of not totally rape, but general sexual assault, and he had text messages from the supposed victim admitting that the accusations weren't true. He ended up banned from a lot of his social events and ended up suicidal.

I think this manifests as something different from 'motherhood.' Women's need for "stability" in romantic relationships is a common trope - she wants to "lock you down" or "get married," and this aspect is discussed pretty regularly, usually as an oppositional force to men trying to get laid. Women's need for stability pushes them towards dedicated motherhood in the same way that men's need for sex pushes them towards a flexible fatherhood. The question as it's phrased would be more balanced, I …

I find the best way to develop confidence is to devote yourself heavily to learning various skills. While mind tricks and mental assurance can work, it pales in comparison to the rush you get from knowing you can do something someone else can't. "Bettering yourself" is a prominent theme in seduction, and I seriously can't emphasize that enough. If you actually become a badass person (working out/eating well adds to this), then it's difficult not to exude badassery in daily life.

Accuracy is very different from hate. You can be accurate and hateful. The two are not mutually exclusive. Two different axis. I prefer accurate and loving. You can speak harsh truths in love and care, especially if you want other people to hear you. I did get the anger vibe from TRP. Thanks for the 'totes adorbs' The Red Pill is only ever interpreted by those who see it, much as this sub is, or life, or anything. And my interpretation is that it tends to carry an air of anger about it, and I dislike that. I don't think anybody should be angry. If you don't find any anger in the red pill, and it doesn't make you angry at all, then I can't tell you it's unhealthy or wrong. I just suspect that it does nurture a feeling of anger in you because it nurtures a feeling of anger (aga…

aint' it funny how that works but I'm glad humanity is capable of doing that. Girls are so afraid that once they put themselves out there as a sex object they won't be taken seriously, but goddamnit you gotta literally take the effort to be more than a sex object too, and give other people enough trust to not be assholes about how they see you. I have trust in you <3

Hey, I'm matching all donations to this cause up until the fee has been paid! The fee shouldn't even exist, but if we gotta pay it to get the ball rollin', so be it. http://equalitycanada.com/support-us/

Very true. When I first found /r/theredpill, I was excited. I liked the idea and expected a great place full of objective discussion about mens sexuality and how it was damaged by feminism. But I went in and the language was so brutal and demeaning, I immediately felt alienated. Here in /r/MensRights I share your views and am a woman, and all that matters to you is the views. But in /r/theredpill, I share their views and am a woman, but all that matters to them is that I am a woman. That's the d…

I would, cause changing attitudes towards herpes has got to start somewhere. If they're on meds, it's sufficiently suppressed, and you use a condom, the risks are pretty low. Anybody can get herpes at any time. If tomorrow you woke up and found out you had it, you'd want the rest of the world to take a gentle attitude towards you - so let's do the same to those who do have it.

Herpes weren't even seen as a negative thing till recently when people wanted to sell herpes meds. I feel really bad for people who have it, the stigma is awful and undeserved.

Also I've found ex-religious women have massive sex drives and are pretty goddamn kinky as a result of all that oppression. Go find some and bond over your like childhoods.

You sound bitter. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a fan of feminism and I believe a great deal of it is rooted in utter irrationality - but we have to be careful not to let anger or bitterness corrupt that message.

I wouldn't accuse them of "loving it" so that they can "vilify us." That kind of demonizes them and isn't very objective (which is frequently exactly what feminists do to men). Let's at least be rational about this.

I agree with you in this - preventative measures are logical and should be taken, and nobody should be called an asshole for giving them. I wonder, though, if the emotional reaction to this issue comes from the fact that rape is a rare occurrence for most women, usually happening once. If rape is akin to a lightning strike - random and rare, maybe offering preventative strategies (if it's stormy, maybe stay indoors!), even if they would be effective, seem silly (who would refuse to walk to their…
