I think the first thing to point out is that "men on here" don't feel "entitled" to have sex with a woman. That implies that the subscribers of /mr do not respect women or their right to say no. Sex is a decision that involves two people and I do resent the implication made by choosing the word "entitled". I think many of the arguments that involve conception that is unplanned focus on the fact that men have very few, and in some cases no legal rights regarding any decision made after sex regard…

This is an extremely pointed and intentionally ambiguous question; it implies that "men on here" believe that they should never be financially responsible for a child which simply is not true. I have never read a post on /MR about men complaining that they should not have to pay for their children while in a stable relationship with the mother. Please rephrase your question to be more specific if it is indeed a serious question.

I wonder whose genes have a better chance of propagating to the next generation, the man who is concerned about his paternity, or the man who has "nothing but contempt" for men who are concerned with paternity. I think this problem will sort itself out in a few generations :)

Well, if marriage vows aren't a promise of faith, than they are nothing. I don't agree with this false dichotomy that either a marriage vow is based on faith or nothing. I think it is completely reasonable to assume that marriage vows have varying personal meanings to different people. Furthermore, to suggest that all marriages are invalid if they do not fall into you definition of marriage is presumptuous. Are you suggesting that those, including the OP, whose are facing abuse by their husband …

You can't know the future with certainty, but what you can know is that patterns of past behavior tend to be good predictors of future behaviors, especially when you understand the motivations behind the behavior. If this is how she acts when she is trying to get something he controls and she desperately wants, what do you think is going to happen when she doesn't need him anymore? All hell is going to break loose. While I can't say that with absolute certainty, I can say that it seems highly pr…

For clarity, my comment was directed more towards instances where you are assumed to be the father and you have doubts about your own paternity. Obtaining a sample from a child you can't see and suspect yourself of being the father of would be much more difficult. I really don't see a problem with this law, it really doesn't hurt anyone who isn't trying to deceive the government and the father. When the government is going to have to potentially spend money enforcing, tracking, and processing ch…

You don't have to have the mother's consent to get a paternity test, you just have to obtain a testable sample from the child. Its completely confidential.

Dr. Phil is just a demagogue who panders to his close-minded self righteous female audience. I could go on, but any video of his really speaks for itself.
