By realizing that if you don't become "approachable" and/or don't approach you come across as a self-centered bastard. Stop being a self-centered bastard and start caring for other people. Ask them how they are, ask them how their day is going, ask the hot or nice ones out for coffee. You don't have to approach every woman with a sign that says "I'm only being nice to get fucked". You can genuinely be social and polite. If you think about it, by approaching effectively you prove right up front t…

How do you not give a fuck? You make the choices, you are the actor, you are responsible for who you date, sleep with, and marry. Women wait to be approached . . . as easy as it sounds things are much better from our perspective.

Work on multiple women at a time. Ask out multiple women daily; date multiple numbers of women; get intimately involved with those that rise to the top. No matter how disabled you are by one"itis" you'll be unable to focus on just one woman. Save the one"itis" for marraige. As long as you're dating more than one, one"itis" will remain in check. If you want to focus on one person, make it yourself.

No, I think it's just science and genetics. Perhaps men just want healthy off-spring and I think humans equate attractiveness with health. Men might already have an assumption of responsibility to support women; each sex brings a different strength to the relationship. But, you could sort of see that as lower standards. From what I've read about it, just related to looks, most people look for relationships with people who are generally just as attractive as they are, not less or more. I've also …

I think men and women look for different things. I think that men see a hot girl across the room and want to sleep with them, marry them, and have their children. I think women meet a man, get to know him, do some research, see how he behaves around children, think about his potential and career choices, see how he interacts with others in society and evaluate how he dresses and if it's all perfect -- are willing to go on a first date. Some of your frustrations is rooted in how we are looking fo…

You probably could have moved around the guy and spoke directly to the girl. One habit you can develop is learning how to show interest and confidence. Also, don't be so hard on yourself. You don't "fail" when trying to talk to people. You're at a club trying to socialize, you succeeded. Personally, when I talk with a girl and I get some great flirting going or even just have a nice conversation, I've succeeded. You say "I ended up only talking to the girls" and you say one of them seemed recept…

I think the advice is ok, except the "never a right moment" part. With permission I'll disagree with this point. More importantly though, I really think this is focusing on the short term goal. When a girl wants to be kissed she stares at your lips, then into your eyes, and back at your lips. It would take a dolt to miss the message. I'd rather have a girl kiss me out of pure lust on the third date than somehow get away with it on the first by pouncing on her. Just me, I guess. I dated an incred…

It's true. I'm relieved you're not getting down voted into pergatory. The cool thing about your introductory opener is that it doesn't really sound like your trying to pick anyone up, rather just being open and friendly, and intersted. If she seems receptive you can ask for her number. There's a lot more work to be done after getting the number, but it's a great start.

Remember that a large % of girls are in relationships in some way. Quite a lot of them turn off completely when they are in relationships.

I'm not really clear on whether you went out on a date, or just had lunch in the sunshine. Given the whole phone number situation, who called who and how/when was it defined as a date?

It's been my experience that having long conversations leads to good, long lasting relationships. I'd turn the conversation toward her interests and desires and try to turn it into a relationship. She might just be "refusing" to be the girl who "is the one you just laid". You'll put yourself in the friend zone eventually, but that's always up to you, and technically having a few nice women friends isn't so bad. Guys sometimes put off a non-interest vibe if they aren't talking to a dress princess…

Just start approaching everybody. Ask people how they are. When you see a gentleman with a cool jacket, say so. When you see a gorgeous woman in a cute dress, follow suit. Soon you'll realize the challenge isn't the approach, it's being prepared for the reply.

I think it's because we feel guilt. We want to think of women as chaste virgins and we know our motives are focused on our own selfish desires. Desires we suspect she doesn't have, especially toward us. What we often forget is that women want to be desired and enjoy relationships, companionship, and yes, even sex. If you do it right, women enjoy being flirted with. However, there is a barrier that gets put up between women and strangers that we might be breaking because of our impatience. It's m…

Wow, that's a lot of introspective thought. You can date older women, you know. I like the idea of hitting it when the iron is hot, so to speak, but letting women choose you is a bad formula for ensuring quality. The best advice I can give you is to stop judging yourself. If you continue to feel bad about yourself it'll just become a self-perpetuating activity. You'll start tieing everything to your limitations. There are lots of girls out there with the same internal dialogue as your's. When th…

Most of the posts I read seem to come from guys that haven't learned how to socialize and interact with women appropriately, or at all really. Also, some guys, like me, were married for an eternity and forgot how to interact with women. If women were more interested in marrying their friends, it'd be a no brainier, but they'd rather marry for their attraction, then let the friendship build. Makes perfect sense to me. If it weren't for this sub-forum, the human race might become extinct. I think …

Some advice? You bet. How do you feel about tough love? So, here is my first suggestion. Your post is nearly 100% about you. Why is that? Two questions (wrapped into one). How many women did you ask out on a date last month and what can you tell me about 30 of them that you find really interesting? It's a rhetorical question, however, once you can answer the question, you will solve your own problem. 1) Continue working on yourself 2) Start focusing on people around you 3) Forget about "generati…

Mostly I think it's a conscious decision. You simply decide to talk to people. When it comes to women, you either talk or give up, those are the only two choices. Talking to a woman is like lighting the fuse in a relationship. Everything starts with talking, so you've got to make it a priority. Or, don't start the relationship at all. Another consideration, is to always talk about them. People enjoy talking about themselves. Get them talking. If you can learn to develop a sense of humor that hel…

Two things primarily, although hitting the gym is a high point too, a confidence booster. But, the two most important things were learning to be social; relaxing, being talkative, open, and playful. And, second, firmly realizing that women want to be hit on and learning how to stretch the process out for their excitement. You don't need to be dramatic about it, but you don't need to feel ashamed about it either. I guess if you can accept that it's natural, you can feel less awkward about it. I s…

It's time to evaluate what your "dates" are like. 1st, 2nd, 3rd? I'm not sure what your objective is, but moving to the 4th and 5th date requires successful and interesting 1st-3rd dates. It isn't easy or cheap but if your dates are boring you can pick up women all day and never get into a relationship. I suggest: make sure they are romantic, interesting, unique, and fun for her. Also try and work a few women simultaneously. They all need to know you are being pursued by other women. Sadly, it's…

Yes, it gets much easier. It only holds the value you give it. I prefer to ask pointed questions. I suggest that approach. 1) "hey, would you like to get a drink?" (this approach occurs anytime I am having a nice conversation) 2) once we are having drinks, usually within a few days of the first conversation, I ask her what kind of dates she finds romantic, or what is the most romantic date she has ever been on . . . This is to get her thinking about me from this romantic perspective. 3) then, ta…

This was awesome. Well done. Not the main point of your post, however, I've always assumed most axe murderers were initially very nice folks, overly nice. Having some initial edge to your personality also demonstrates that you're genuine.

I think you're being a little hard on yourself. Women do enjoy small talk, but I suppose you could talk a little deeper and be successful. I think you might enjoy a more cerebral approach to small talk. Try making eye contact, at least more than once, and try to decode what one thing a girl takes the most pride in about herself. Then give her a gentle compliment by suggesting that you like it too. Her shoes, glasses, hairstyle, whatever really. Bonus points if you actually do generally like what…

So, let's say for a moment that you're a woman. You want a man that will care for you, protect you, and love you. Are you going to choose the guy who is too afraid to even talk to you, or the guy who isn't afraid to talk with anyone? If you don't have any confidence in a civil, social, and benign environment what kind of a man are you going to be when the shit hits the fan?

You probably won't get 10s. 7s and, even 6s, are great. Especially if you're a 5. But, judging people by numbers is pretty limiting. You might learn to pick up women by practicing on 3s and 4s. But, don't be too surprised if you fall in love, and are happy forever, with a 6.

You did well, you'll probably see her again. Get her number next time. This time it was too early. You will probably get to develop eye contact with one hot girl a day. There's no real hurry. Next time, maybe, ask for their names.

I like it. It could be preceded with a lot of eye contact, but generally I find that most people don't want what they have and don't want to be where they are. I like the challenge it introduces. "I might be interested in you, assuming sitting in this bar/restaurant/club (whatever) isn't your goal in life".

Your senses are up. You're on the prowl. You'll meet knew women on a date because they can sense your intentions. Hit on those babes. Nothing wrong with it, as long as you are only making a nice connection with other women. The women you date should always be aware that other girls are interested in you.

It's common. It's a test. She is testing to see your reaction. Just call her up and ask her out again. You can also just say, sorry I didn't show up. You can just suggest you ditched her. If she acts up on you, you'll know she is a liar. I would always bring a book to a first date and I would always force myself to hit on one woman at the restaurant before I left. Then, just ask her out again. It's that simple. "Hey, sorry I missed you, I got bogged down at work and I might have been late for ou…

Seriously -- a good epiphany. You've been surrounded by hot women and the utterance of one word has changed your entire perspective on the simplicity of meeting them. Now, I suggest you take a pledge to not let one more women walk by you without at least saying "hey" and being nice enough to follow through with a little conversation. It sounds like you've got a perfect grasp of the situation. You can make women like you, simply by being kind, confident, and a little forward. Also, don't overlook…

I'll fall on the side of calling this a mistake, but not really a big one. Here is the loss . . . when she describes you to friends (other girls) they'll get this part of the story. You'll lose out on all of her friends too. But, if she was playing you, you might have stood your ground. I doubt it, but it's possible. Next movie date night. Pay for it, be really nice, and ask out the cute girl that sells you the tickets too. Every act of kindness pays back in karma several times over. Twenty doll…

I believe you should not tell them they are cute. Guys often confuse what is important. They'll want to convey that they think a girl is attractive, which is already obvious. What is far more important is whether they are attracted to you. Spend your time being interesting. The "I think you're cute" approach breaks all the possible tension that might exist. I prefer to build that up, and keep them guessing. I'm not a big fan of the "dino" approach either. That says to me, you have a pick-up line…

I don't see any evidence of "electricity". I'm guessing it's all in your head. I would say she might be inappropriatly touching you. My co-workers are more flirtatious than this, and they don't mean anything by it. Pressing her boob against your arm is weird, not really electric.

You did pretty well. You can diagnose this yourself pretty well. When there were two girls you interacted with two girls, and succeeded. When you see two girls and interact with one girl, problems. I'm not really sure why you hit on "the hottest girl", maybe that was a generic description. But, you might try hitting on a few other women. Let's say I'm single, and I go to the Miss America contest. Should I select the hottest girl in the bunch, hit on her, and if it doesn't work out, leave? No, I …

I agree with most of what you posted, but would like to add that being rejected doesn't necessarily mean that a woman doesn't like you. She probably doesn't really know you, so she has no basis for not liking you. It might be simply that that is the real problem. She rejects you because she doesn't know you. To me it's a little like how I behave when I get a telemarketing call. I say, "no thanks, I'm not interested." Now how do I really know that I'm not interested? I don't. Should the telemarke…

It's more conceptual, than literal math. Shoot for 10 a day, 300 a month. Even that isn't doable everyday. What's more important is not passing on opportunities. Once you start targeting 10 a day you'll see more missed opportunities, opportunities that you might not have otherwise ever attempted. I also edited the post to think from the other direction. Keep approaching women all month until you get 10 solid rejections. Either way, once you start approaching women for the goal, rather than focus…
