Okay so like this sounds like part of growing up. Like, it’s okay. This sounds normal. I’ve done things like this. It’s okay. How to move on? It takes time. It might help to leave the unhappy job. I used to think about my exes at my last job, partially because I wasn’t emotionally invested in it. Also get off of social media, don’t check up on him, block him. Block mutuals too. This helps so much especially when we are all cooped up w this pandemic. Those are my thoughts.

Maybe he left the country for less than stellar reasons..... Time to block him on social media, get rid of anything he gave you, and then you’ll for sure move on.

It’s okay to feel bad, we all need time to learn and grow. But lying and having a nasty prenup like that are LVM things. I don’t think he was HVM, I think he was a charlatan. You are definitely better off without him.

You deserve so much better. I’ve been there and it stinks. Please eliminate him from your life and find something else. These are very trying times.

It makes sense, but it’s the mother said part that bothers me. Is he trying to show he is a good boy w respect, or is he using his mom as an excuse?

A big one for me is blocking exes from your life, which became harder w social media. But now I’ve blocked my exes and I feel much stronger and safer online.

I’m really glad I live alone and I am taking covid 19 seriously. I’ve deleted apps. I don’t want the drama and disruption of the boys. I’m happy my family is safe. I find I have more time for myself and working on things I like - walking, taichi, reading.

I deleted my dating apps and got rid of LVM in the FB, instas, Snapchat.... not subscribing to r/dating (too many LVM to help)

I think we might be over simplifying things. Realizing you have a problem is the first step, the next is mitigating those behaviors and getting new ones. Trying something new is really important to recovery, and we r allowed to make mistakes as we go along.

Hi, I'm new to FDS. I was doing pretty well until I got to college, then suddenly I started really compromising in order to get affection from guys. Some of these guys were really nice but ultimately not the right fit. About six months ago I got out of a relationship,,, and I'm realizing I sacrificed a lot for him. I'm doing so much better now even though it's been tough. I was so scared to leave and be alone that i stayed with him wayyyy too long. I was motivated by trying to buck some statisti…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
