With honestly I meant their change in sexual orientation and self-image in general, not telling you who floats their boat. (Incidentally I'm pretty open about that too, but that was not the point)

I wouldn't mind as long as he's still attracted to me. I would deeply appreciate the honesty of sharing this with me.

For sure I'd get much less random (unwanted) attention from women than I get from guys now, but in terms of finding people I actually want to date I'm not playing the numbers game. There is very few I click with anyways, and that's usually through mutual friend groups, so I don't think the outcome would change so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 12:34 PM

What I believe lots of people could objectively agree on is that men and women alike are suffering from the prevailing gender roles and expectations, with the suffering manifesting in specific ways and areas for each group, but ultimately stemming from the same root cause. Also, the "dating market" seems to not be working out too well for many men and women, in the sense that it leaves needs unfulfilled. That's the diagnosis. As for the treatment, the approaches differ wildly (with some people d…

If you want to do random swaps i'm curious to read your description of the hypothetical behavior of women that would reflect our complaints with men

What do you mean by "open about criticizing"? Sure, women's sexual performance is a lesser used comedic topic, maybe because there is just less (fun things) to say about it. Correct me if I'm wrong but if women are "bad" they are mostly just passive. When men are bad, they tend to come at you with a spectacular sense of ignorance, selfishness and/or entitlement. Look up orgasm gap. In terms of actual private chatter among friends, why do you believe men and women wouldn't talk the same way?

Nice too see my prediction confirmed! I think that one was the shakiest but also most interesting one. Case in point, I (autistic) have never dated someone from my home country (not for preference or lack of trying, it is just who I was surrounded and clicking with)

Autistic men tend to fall out of narrow traditional dating norms, so I would suppose there will be a larger fraction of women who are either in some ways non-traditional themselves or at least have open minds and appreciation for difference. So I would expect positive correlation with the following traits: Neurodivergent themselves, queer, progressive, kind & empathetic, nerdy, introverted, intelligent, high openness to experience, foreigners or people who lived abroad.

I'm describing two mature and well-intentioned people that are still not mind readers. Communicating with your partners is a normal thing you know

> They need to be entirely self-motivated Yes, it fundamentally comes down to this. If you don't trust your partner to do this, your relationship has other issues. See how I wrote "well functioning relationship" on the initial post?

I think many people are afraid that their DB partner is simply no longer attracted to *them* and not owning up to it, but "making excuses", or somehow punishing them by withholding sex. The sad part is that I'm sure those cases do exist. Couples aren't very good at communicating generally, and repeated rejection, pressure and insecurity creates a vicious cycle where the honest reactions and manipulation strategies may end up looking indistinguishable. Breaking the vicious cycle is tough and requ…

You're trying to change the meanings of words here. Of course your partner can expect you to not have sex with others; this is a common expectation. You can believe that this expectation is unreasonable once they no longer have sex with you, so you talk to them and tell them you don't intend to follow the expectation any more. Then you come to an agreement, or break up or whatever. No different from negotiating all the other thousands of expectations in a relationship. What's childish is to go b…

Competing who "has it harder" is an extremely silly argument. Men and women both suffer from a set of silly and entirely preventable gendered cultural issues originating from the system called patriarchy. We're in the same boat, actually (even though the red pill tells men to double down on patriarchy, instead of leaving behind what is hurting them, too). Beyond that, men and women suffer from difficult to change issues like war, poverty, crime, and the way our countries and economies are run. A…

Well, for example opening the relationship to sex with other people. I'm not a jealous person so I wouldn't be against this even in normal circumstances. If I felt strongly about exclusivity then I wouldn't know many good options, but maybe my partner has an idea how to meet their needs.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/26 01:45 PM

Any gender, same age bracket: 50%. Probably more (70%) if we know the swap is temporary (just because it's an exciting proposition).

I do think this is the best way to handle it. But it's all predicated on a "well functioning relationship" as I wrote, with loving and emotionally mature people. Those take luck and work, and most relationships aren't like it any more at some point. There's hurt, a spiral of minor emotional neglect turning into larger one, and suddenly you feel you don't owe the other person any more of your consideration, your needs take center stage, they should just deal with it just like you deal with so man…

If my partner feels repeatedly rejected and brings up discontent, I'd say "sorry, X has been happening with me. for now, please don't initiate any more" with the understanding that the ball is now "in my court" in regards to initiating: it's my responsibility, i have not forgotten about their needs, and i will do it if i can. It might be that I cannot for the forseeable future, then at a later stage we can have a conversation about alternatives. I don't need to be reminded about things that are …

In a well functioning relationship both partners should take each other's needs seriously while also giving each other grace and patience. That's all there really is to say about it. If my libido suddenly dropped long-term without clear fix or perspective, I would seek a conversation with my partner about possible alternatives. They may let me know how things affect them, but they have no right to pester me or cheat.

Haha the perception that bodybuilders and influencers are "high status" is definitely not shared by most women in my circles.

I find it slightly inappropriate to talk too many details about my current partner with my friends if they also know him/are his friends too. It's better to keep it somewhat high-level then. In case a relationship ends however, all the details are fair game :)

Hey if they're my perfect partner I'd even marry them, if it is ok that I wouldn't be monogamous.

Outside of cults, no one loves anything unconditionally. They might just not tell you the conditions, or aren't consciously aware of them. The conditions may also be reasonable and socially accepted. That's what registers as "unconditionally" for you
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 08:28 AM

Yeah, and often the reason your "manly men" expect "traditional women" is them having underlying issues with their masculinity which make them intimidated by successful women. Not that their conditioning would allow them to admit it, but here we are ...

100% of conversations I have about exact penis measurements are because men tell me, or ask me about other men
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 09:39 AM

Yeah the framing isn't really controversial, just untrue
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 09:57 AM

Hitting the nail right on the head
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/24 11:17 AM

I mean the reasons for their distrust are internal to their psyche, as opposed to anything their partner does or does not do in the relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 04:11 PM

You're probably a believer in "I can fix him/her" ...
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 01:34 PM

Exactly the way I wrote it
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 11:40 AM

Your last sentence is definitely untrue. There are insecure people all around that question even the most committed partners for no reason other than their own psyche.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
