Alpha widowed, just kidding. Sorry for your loss or gain if it was a bad relationship.

Two of my brothers married their high school sweethearts and one is married for 30 years and the other for around 5, grandparents also did the same and were married about 60 years. One of my best friends married his high school sweetheart and they are planning to have their first kid in the coming year. Not saying waiting until marriage is foolproof, but your chance of divorce is 5% so that pretty much ends any discussion. I can only speak about marriage which should be the goal of most people.

When I was still meeting new friends/people it was through, classes, gym and job. However, as I got older I had too many people who fell into the acquaintance category, so I took a year or two to slowly cut down my friend group to just the people I have now which is 2 close friends and about 15-25 general friends. If we include on and off friends, I probably have 50-75 but I don't keep track as it more of hang out if things are free or friends online.

Men don't really talk about their social events, I do dinners and lunch's all the time or runs with friends, but we don't post it on insta. Also most men socialize over video games since if you're working 40-60 hour weeks unless forced it's easier to just want to hop on and play some Marval rivals or something.

That's not how the stats work, also how would you measure that?

No but I have studied Arabic, not a big fan of it overall.

Yeah so I pretty much have the same opinion of you except that I'd say my parents generation which is older didn't cheat much or at least not that I know of, but that is more due to cultural and religious reasons being Germans and Catholic. I think I can explain to you why men have the double standards when it comes to them hooking up vs women hooking up even if it doesn't make sense. First barring men slumming it or going far below their standards in looks or the use of prostitution from an obj…

If I lacked morals I'd do very well scamming people and or doing other crimes.

So I'll have about 7 months from between when I graduate and when I start my career job. What are the highest paying contract jobs that I can do in the meantime? I already looked into Alaskan fishing and the pay was meh. Thinking Lumberman, or an oil rig? I would be looking for a 6 month gig or less. I might also have something start in 5 months but I pretty much don't want to sit around and do nothing and also want to pump money into my investment accounts while the market tanks. Any suggestion…

Um, that's kinda how it works. You can't negotiate attraction. If a woman is attracted to you after that's its typically about her sounding you our for positive traits or mutual interest. If she's not into you you generally can't convince her to be.

Eh is it not that older generations should want the next to be better off than they were? Something about planting an orchard to never see it bear fruit. Also I am a pro-capitalists neoliberal, just also think unions are pretty cool and at the end of the day if the common people decide to start stirring things up it's probably justified at this point.

With how bad wealth disparity is has the social contract not already fallen apart? Same for the burden being put on the younger generation by the older ones.

You swim in hs?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 12:40 AM

221 I was 235 recently but cut down so I could run faster. I plan on staying at this weight for a while as I still have roughly 5 lbs of fat I could lose and replace with muscle and still be healthy at 220.

Yes, one of my best friends works, does school, outside commitments and when together with his gf also cooks and does most of the labor around his place. He is just a genuinely caring individual and his gf while getting better is pretty much a pampered single child who lets him do everything for her. Another of my friends who is a nurse also does most of the cooking, lawncare, and also hard physical tasks while his wife who does also work does pretty much that only. Thinking about it multiple of…

/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 11:07 PM

I'm already in the 5+ rep range for 275+ so my max is most likely around 335. Also I'm a student now but as my career progresses there will be times where I don't have access to a gym for months at a time so I plan on ending my strength building probably in mid 2026.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 10:59 PM

That's valid, childhood obesity is an issue and while you can't help the kid due to his parents you can still avoid contributing to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 10:50 PM

I have never meant someone who has benched 405 in person before who was not a meatball whose fat reduced the distance of the bar. Also actually standing up my arms are 2-3 inchs from knee so I think that makes my wingspan long.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 10:41 PM

6'3 I don't know wingspan but my arms go slightly below my waist. I can share a photo in private if you'd like.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 10:36 PM

My mile is 6:42 with less than a year of training, I already bench 315 with pretty low effort and think I can get to 365 with 6-12 months of good training.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/25 10:33 PM

What's the end goal for your fitness journey. For mine I am thinking 365 bench, 495 back squat and 580 deadlift and then the ability to run a 6:00 mile(or below) and also be able to do athletic things like muscle-ups and swim for at least a mile. Also 6 pack and 9% bodyfat

Talking to women with the intention of dating wants to make me actively kill myself so maybe not, if I could get a good team for intramurals I might.

What physical pastime should I add to routine. I already weightlift 6 times a week and run 3-5 but I want to do some sort of sport, right now the options are bjj which costs a fair amount each month but I think would help grow my legs and neck, next is sand volleyball for intramurals which could be fun and a good way to get a tan, lastly I could try rugby but the injury rate seems a bit high.

I'd agree that is a legit method but back to my point about third spaces they're not alot of ways to make female friends as an adult.

Pretty most of the population can't run a single mile in 9:00 minutes and for every minute increase I would assume more fall off. I go to a d1 college of around 38,000 and only really the track runners run 5:00 or below so that is a couple out of thousands.

I try to do two speed work days one 4x400 and one 8x200 day. Then try to get around 8 plus miles in for a total of at least 10 but if I had time I'd like to do 20 miles a week but its hard to fit in.

Honestly sounds like we're mostly in agreement, as a man I can't really criticize women's choice in men since it comes off as jealous but I can call out bad male behavior and I only hope women start doing the same in women.

Still impressive I'm about at the 6:30 rn and want to get to like a 5:45. Been running less than a year but its a fun pastime like weightlifting

Yea which is a negative for the women who are dating the same guy and also the guys who also don't date due to such things, in my view both the guys sleeping around need to be reprimanded and women need to be taught by more responsible women like their moms, aunts, and older sisters basic things like how single guys who are really good looking may be less likely to commit or more likely to cheat, or how men will sleep with a woman they have no intention of dating.

5:12 is pretty up there, fastest guy I know can do 4:30 and he is a d1 track runner. What's you age and stats like height and weight?

Again mostly agree, lots of nonverbal signals and such. Shifting conversation slightly but do you believe that the status quo is a net positive for women or that there are certain things that could change that would lead to overall less frustration and heartbreak for women i.e barriers that avoid ghosting, burnout, lack of eligible partners etc...?

True, again I agree that men are the ones who have to approach but as of now two main groups approach. Men who do so well and are typically what would be considered players and men who are creeps and don't care what women think of them. I'm just trying to provide an alternative view on what I think is an issue with the current dating culture and how to fix it which is consistent standards. By addressing this men with bad behavior will be called out more and men will have less stress about approa…

I respect and understand the barriers that women need to have to avoid being used for sex. The main issue I think when it comes to men approaching women now is that in the post metwo world and especially in modern day there are very few acceptable ways to talk to woman for young men and one approach can be both incorrect or correct based on if the woman likes you or not. I'll give a real life example that a female friend of mine explained to me, if she is dancing in a club and a guy starts danci…

No I think abuse falls under the same argument I've made against judging women for being trafficked both are outside of their control and they shouldn't be judged for it. This being said if potential partner had left an abusive relationship she would defiantly need to be mentally prepared to date again(therapy or just time) and not hold anything from her past relationship against me i.e if her abuser liked the gym and I also like the gym and she says me going makes her uncomfortable that would b…

Shower thought I'd like to share I don't think women's views on how bad men are that unreasonable its just that younger men can't fulfil them due to outside environmental factors. Take for example childhood obesity leading to adulthood obesity which is a hit to looks, or having the smallest share of wealth in history at the current point of time limiting ability to provide things like security, trips, and just generally speaking wealth makes dating easier. Like in my personal opinion if most you…

You have to look at it from both perspectives. you going out with your mom is something you both enjoy and like doing. Your dad gets enjoyment from say staying in and watching some football. Maybe try communicating that you value hanging out and would prefer to go out together. Or you can maybe try and find something you both enjoy and do that together.

Love and companionship is not restricted to only romantic relationships, I know many men and women with great families and friend groups who have not dated a lot. Tying into notch count, in my personal view the people who have had the most healthy upbringings are the ones who have only dated a couple people long term and the ones with rough childhoods such as ones filled with sexual assault or broken homes are the ones who have lots of casual sex since they are seeking to fill up something they …
