I’m pissed the fuck off, if that’s what you mean by triggered. For what? I’m sure you’ve read up on this and wouldn’t blindly trust a screenshot of a misreporting before coming to such strong conclusions. Given that this was retaliation for filing a harassment case that was elevated to the Supreme Court and she has not been convicted of anything, and this is all based on the word of one man accused of harassing 9 women, why should she be serving time and for what?

I’m sure you wouldn’t make a comment like this knowing nothing about what’s going on. Given that she hasn’t been convicted of anything and that this charge was leveled when the Pakistani Supreme Court agreed to hear her harassment case, what makes her a cunt? Being born in the wrong country? Speaking out about being harassed like the 8 other women speaking out? Maybe just being a woman is enough? I’m just curious, it’s not obvious to me given that I did read about this.

Testimony is evidence and weighed by credibility. The fact that multiple people say the same thing happened makes a piece of testimony more credible. It’s indicative, not dispositive, but indicative towards veracity. This guy is turning into the Bill Cosby of Pakistan. People also claimed the women coming forward were lying until there were over a dozen. I think the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard to date is that women in Pakistan frequently fabricate sexual harassment. What did you think about the cosmetic artist who came forward after years of abuse that she’d shared with friends and family before coming forward? How does he have a strong case? You outlined how there is not evidence that he harassed her, but you need to prove the falseness in a defamation case. By that token, his case is actually very weak.

I love that in posting this with zero due diligence the mods have implicitly signaled that they support laws that criminalize women making even legitimate claims of sexual abuse. Go do some googling about this case and circle the wagons for whatever “but ACTUALLY” you’ve got lined up for me. This woman was sexually harassed, came forward about it along with many other women, and is being punished by a law designed specifically to keep women from reporting sexual abuse, and you’re celebrating it …
