Silly busy work came from nonsense classes. Math is best learned through repetition making it necessary to do homework. English requires reading books that will stick with you. Science is just like Math. History gets more interesting the more you read. The OP was talking about an AP class, so I doubt he was getting busy work.

Do your homework. That's one of the things I wish I could go back and tell myself to do. Knowledge really is power because it unlocks your ability accomplish your goals.
