This is, somehow, even stupider than making a fuss about manspreading. Well done.

She participated in a terrible crime and served 25 years in jail for it. Everyone knows what she did, there is no cover up going on. The events that led her to do what she did are exactly what she is trying to stop. She made a huge mistake and after paying for it with the best years of her life, now she's working hard to make sure nobody else follows in her footsteps. I thought this sub was better than this.

It's very possible that it did. Not that this necessarily forgives her actions, but it does mitigate it a bit. From horrible to terrible, for whatever that's worth.

This falls under, "cruel and unusual punishment." If you want this kind of "justice" I'd suggest you go sign up for ISIS. Sounds like you'll get along just fine.

Doing a terrible thing doesn't necessarily make one a terrible person. That's the definition of being a "terrible person". You can't do bad things and then rationalize it away by saying, "oh, I did this bad thing but I'm actually a good person on the inside." You are what you choose to do. Only you can change what you choose to do (from the options life gives you). That's what free will is all about.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
