Those spots are often marked as for parents with young infants as well. Don't know why you're being downvoted, you're completely right.

Yeah, that pic on the left could be any number of sitcoms on TV right now.

Right. I wasn't being discriminatory, just talking to him personally and he said daughter so I automatically went that route. But you're right, this applies to all children and all parents.

I think it's more important to foster open relationships with your kids than to "know the parents". I've seen too many situations where parents know the person who is abusing/molesting their child, sometimes even are close friends with them. Knowing is not always enough. I understand the theory completely, just please be sure your daughter is confident enough to speak up if something feels funny to her.

I agree with you, I don't think anyone should be offended by this anymore than guys at work being invited to a stag or girls to a baby shower. Who cares?

I gotta say it, I hate when "feminist" and "man bashing" are lumped together. They do not always go hand in hand! Have faith men, all feminists are not idiots!

I think parents being involved at all is weird. Why would I go to all the trouble to research a preschool and find one that fits with my parenting to find that they're letting a bunch of moronic parents in to help teach my child? No thanks.

I understand that, I'm just curious if it's the assumption the woman made or if it's the act of a woman not wanting a man in there. I'll be honest, I am way more comfortable with female doctors. It has nothing to do with me thinking they'll look at me sexually or be unprofessional in any way, I just happen to prefer a female.

I'm curious, had the birthing woman said no, would you have been offended? And what did you think of the whole process? I had my first a couple years ago and went all natural and my poor intern looked about to faint.

It's a shame this happened. I'm a mom of a young child so people approach me constantly. Only once have I ever been freaked out by someone (and yes, it was a male) because he kept following me throughout target. Aside from that, I try to be really understanding. To many people, kids are irresistible. They're freakin cute or hysterically honest. The thing that bothers me most is the paranoid children these parents are raising. It's not healthy and as terrified as I can sometimes be for my child, …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
