I'm not familiar with the story but very often acts like that, especially when done in childhood, are the result of one's own trauma. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the 13 yo was molested himself. Does that make what he did right? No, of course not. But everybody taking a big breath for a minute and asking some real questions may give the family a chance to heal together instead of falling apart the way it did and it might show the kid that he is more than just his worst mistake.

Exactly. Childhood is a time to grow and learn the boundaries of normal human behavior through play; this is childhood development 101. One of the things I feel like made the first one so great was the nostalgia. Yes it does. Sex is the only known natural means by which humans reproduce. Regardless of actions taken to prevent pregnancy, by engaging in sex both the man and the woman open themselves to the possibility of conception. If that possibility becomes a reality, both parents have natural obligations to that child, the fore.ost of which is to keep it alive. If you aren't ready to be a parent, you are not ready to be having sex.
