If if it was true, why would the gender of the owner have anything to do with the quality of work. I’m all for men’s rights but this is irrelevant to the cause.

No thank you. I’ll save that for when have to get a prostate exam

I believe that accusations should be taken seriously, especially in cases with evidence (Al Franken) or where the accused admits to any wrongdoing (Harvey Weinstein). However, I do not think anyone should have their career ruined based simply off of what someone else has said. This is happening far too often.

People can’t even take compliments these days. Just shameful.

This is fantastic!

My overall intent in being a part of this sub is to seek equality for men and women. I think that the past does have an important role in that overall goal but more than anything we need to look to the future. For one, taking away a woman's right to vote will not help this cause is the slightest. If anything, that would draw public animosity towards the men's right movement.
/r/MensRights15/11/17 09:40 PM

I could support allowing felons to vote. In either case though I wouldn’t say that they’re sexist. These laws weren’t created to stifle the male vote. But regardless, I’m not going to get into with you again David. You’re own animosity blinds you from even seeking an understanding of different opinions from your own. A discussion with you is not worth my time.

You’re absolutely right.

Actually I’ve been a vocal advocate of men’s equality but I’m not blind to the issues that women face.

Yes women should be allowed to vote even given your circumstances. No I do not believe this puts them above men because of my given reasons.
/r/MensRights15/11/17 04:55 AM

I’m not saying that’s what they do but that’s what they said.
/r/MensRights15/11/17 04:53 AM

I think that women are affected by the issues that a nation faces so they should have a say in how that country is run. Sure men, being on the frontlines, are the primary victims of war but women suffer from it as well.

I can see where you’re coming from. I don’t necessarily agree with it but I can see your reasoning.

So do you think women should be allowed to vote? Cuz it sounds like you have a problem with it...

Your opposed to modern feminism. Traditional feminism was just about equal rights.

One big problem with their sub (aside from it being a largely hateful sub itself) is that they take isolated instances of ignorance or hate and generalize it for an entire sub or demographic.
/r/MensRights15/11/17 02:32 AM
3

Oh absolutely! It’s a step in the right direction though I don’t expect much more to come of it. There might an internal uproar over a feminist group being listed as a hate group but we’ll see...

I still don’t see why being civil is a bad thing but to each their own. May you find joy in peace in this life regardless of your circumstances. Cheers!

I didn’t suck up to them. I had a conversation. Good golly, is that so hard? Edit: if you want change you have to be willing to talk instead of hurling insults at the “shitlibs”
/r/MensRights15/11/17 01:56 AM
5

Well I can’t think of a single time that someone has changed their mind because someone insulted them.
/r/MensRights15/11/17 01:51 AM
6

Well do you actually want change or do you just want to sit around and bitch about it all day? We can raise public awareness by posting instances of inequality against men but no one on the opposition is going to change their minds unless we can act like civil human beings and talk about it with them.
/r/MensRights15/11/17 01:43 AM
7

I don’t think it’s an overwhelming problem, though there’s bound to be a few of them (any movement is bound to have a few bad apples). I believe that sexism is vastly more rampant among feminists.

I know I said I’m done but I’ll leave you with this... I don’t think you hate me. Sorry if it came across that way. Quite the contrary really. If anything, the fact that you were willing to go to such great lengths to explain your beliefs to me shows that you must really care about my personal wellbeing, should those beliefs be in your eyes a positive influence upon it. I was simply implying that it seems like you have some pent up aggression, or even hate, towards the feminist movement. I know …
/r/MensRights14/11/17 11:32 PM

I find the fact that they are willing to admit that a branch of feminism exhibits hate to be a big deal. I mean, one of their rules is that criticism of feminism is a bannable offense. By that they’re breaking their own rules. For that, I think it’s a good step for them.
/r/MensRights14/11/17 11:26 PM
3

You deal too much in absolutes. Not everything is so black and white. I won’t discuss this further with you so please take your own words into consideration. “Hate is irrational”. Make sure you don’t carry that within yourself. May you can find peace and joy in this life regardless of your circumstances. Cheers!

I know but it’s a step in the right direction. We can’t expect total change at once.
/r/MensRights14/11/17 11:18 PM

While I’m sure there are people who share the opinions that you’ve expressed, I would hardly consider that the majority of their user base. I don’t believe we can fight hate with more hate. If we hate them, no matter how ridiculous they are, we can never introduce them to reason or tolerance.
/r/MensRights14/11/17 11:16 PM

I understand that many feminists are pretty far out there but many of them are also not above reason. I’m not saying we need to agree with them but we should seek to understand why they believe what they do, just as we would want them to understand why we believe what we do. This doesn’t mean we have to agree with each other, we should just try to exhibit civility, even if that means doing so in the face of incivility. Going back to the initial post, I think it’s big for them to admit that their…

I think we need to be willing to have open and honest discussion with those who oppose our ideas in order to breed a better atmosphere of tolerance and respect. I believe there are men within the men’s rights movement who exhibit sexist behaviors (though they are far from the majority). Long story short, we can’t change minds by hurling insults. It hasn’t worked before and it won’t work now. I never said that they are 100% there but they are taking steps in the right direction.
/r/MensRights14/11/17 10:55 PM

I agree that there is a fair amount of hate within that sub but we aren’t going to change their minds by using their tactics against them. We need to be willing to have civil and open discussions with them. No one is beyond change.

Thanks. It was tough. In my initial discussion with the mod team I got muted but after reconnecting with one mod directly we made some progress. Edit: In all fairness though the mods did say that they aren’t opposed to men’s rights, rather they are opposed to misogyny within certain members of the men’s rights movement. The same is with our general distaste towards feminism. We’re not opposed to equal rights for women, rather the misogyny within certain members of the feminist movement. It sound…

r/marchagainsttrump promotes hate for conservatives. No one seems to bat an eye at that either.

I PMd the mods of that sub asking them why they oppose a movement built upon equal rights for men and women. They linked me to a men’s rights hate sub and muted me. They seem like pleasant people.

Even the article you sent from biased news didn’t say that he “held her down while she was crying”. You’re adding your own visualization of the event to make it fit your perception. I’m done with you. Later.

It’s more along the lines of you’re disagreeable so nothing I say will change your mind so why try. It’s not worth my time.

Ah. There it is. The ol’ “men’s logic”. I could tell from your username that you came to this sub just to be disagreeable. Go home.

I didn’t read your article because the independent is an unreliable source. They have a strong bias and take a hard stance on feminism.

tl;dr
/r/MensRights13/10/17 04:42 PM

I’m saying the article I read didn’t say any of that. I’m also being short in my answers because I don’t consider this discussion with you to have any value.

I already read it.

I’m not saying that. Clearly grabbing to the point of bruising is going too far. She mustn’t have cared too much at the time because it seems like they finished. And to be placed on a sex offenders list? That’s a bit much.

Did anyone just stop to think that "men and women" just rolls of the tongue better than "women and men"? Why must SJWs/feminists/keyboard warriors always assume ill intent?

Convicted would be a different story but accused? Anyone could be accused for practically anything. It means nothing.
/r/MensRights23/06/17 05:55 PM

Wouldn't it be in the best interest of the public to know that she falsely accused a man of rape? That would definitely be a tidbit of information that I would consider valuable before starting any kind of relationship with the woman.
/r/MensRights30/05/17 02:10 PM

The punishment for false accusations should be, at the very least, the sentence that the accused faced plus compensation for lost wages.

That seems awfully insensitive to the transgender community amiright?

White men account for 7/10 suicides? I wonder if that has anything to do with being demonized by the media...

There's actually a chrome extension that replaces every mention of the word white from buzzfeed, salon, and Huffington Post with black. It's really eye opening into how much racism toward white people is accepted because there are a lot of articles that, if written about black people, would cause riots.

It's really not though

That's basically the equivalent of using welfare money to buy drugs. That's messed up dude.
/r/PussyPassDenied16/02/17 03:54 PM

I believe in equality and I believe in feminism as long as it is promoting equality. Modern feminism does not promote equality. It promotes female dominance and a culture of hatred towards men.

So we want government funding but no responsibility?

Fantasy? You're the one who told me that. Lol
/r/PussyPassDenied08/02/17 09:42 PM

But anyways, getting back to the original question... From what I've gathered here it seems you've really narrowed down the heart of the issue. This march, at its core, is about preventing sh**** babies from having poor lifestyles and promoting poor self-control. I guess the only question from there is how much of the population, or better yet, how many women at that march can't afford condoms?
/r/PussyPassDenied08/02/17 12:45 PM
13

That's why people should be responsible (read post). It's not the government's job to clean up everyone's self-inflicted misery. Everyone has within themselves the power to improve their own circumstances. If the government truly respected its people, they'd expect each of us to do just that instead of coddling and perpetuating the dependency of each person who says "woe is me".
/r/PussyPassDenied08/02/17 12:34 PM

I believe that sexual education is important. You should know full well that PP isn't the sole provider of sexual education. Schools, parents, family physicians, and a multitude of reliable online resources easily provide such. I believe that contraceptives aren't a right. Employers shouldn't be forced to provide them. They simply are not a necessity of life if one has a shred of self-control. Honestly, condoms are cheap and if you really cannot afford them then maybe you really should exercise …
/r/PussyPassDenied08/02/17 12:01 PM

Even if tax dollars aren't going directly for abortions, it is offsetting costs that would otherwise go towards abortions (that's called balancing a budget) so, yes, tax dollars pay for abortions, though indirectly. Contraceptives are inarguable though. So, yeah, it's the government's business.
/r/PussyPassDenied08/02/17 11:20 AM
17

I disagree with you two cents but that's okay. Having a right to voice your opinion is what makes this country great, whether that opinion is widely accepted or not.

Is she incapable of working? Get a job
/r/MensRights08/02/17 10:28 AM

That doesn't make sense though. They're always arguing that what they do in the bedroom is none of the governments business but if my tax dollars are funding their abortions and contraceptives then what they do in the bedroom is very much the government's business. It's seems that defunding PP would support the feminist cause.
