Third wave (and some of second wave) feminism isn't liberal feminism. Liberal is a important word and i mean it in the classical sense. Liberal feminism is equality of opportunity. Modern feminism is equality of outcome. I think that's the key difference. Third wave also has significant postmodernist influence, so it's illiberal in that sense too. semantics gendered terms Webster gives two definitions. The second is a political movement. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/feminism The political advocacy part often gets ignored. It's current incarnation is the problem. But honestly I don't really care if you just use the word feminism. But it does mean I will be highly skeptical of what exactly you are advocating for.

The truth is that modern feminism has largely been hijacked by neo Marxist identity politics. That's what most people are criticizing when they say they are anti feminist. Focusing on semantics is just a conversation derailer (ironic isn't it). But if you are going to focus on semantics, you can't ignore that "feminism" is using a gendered word to describe equality. I see no reason to be so attached to that word

I always felt that we americans can be prudish about boobs and that we shouldn't treat the human body so taboo. But when the reasoning for it is because of male domination in society and i have to actively fight against it, it puts me in a position where i can't ally myself with "free the nipple." The female DNC chair colluded to help the female candidate win the nomination. Not only hurting a white male candidate, but also disenfranchising his supporters, which were predominantly young white men. After that came to light, we are given a new female chair that said not to let white boys win. JFC

I think he does cross the line sometimes, but i do agree with his sentiment that part of freedom of speech is being provocative and even being mean. I prefer the label egalitarian to mra, mainly because i prefer gender neutral terms. I guess you could still call me that because i do support mens rights, but at that point it just becomes semantics. Milo might not use the label but he certainly speaks out against feminism. I don't agree with a lot of his views but i do think he is calling attention to a lot of mens issues that need the attention
