Thankfully I'm reminded by her every day that I'm not good enough, well read enough, spiritual enough, fun enough, etc. Makes that last line easy to hold on to. For now, I play nice and play the game.

I bailed my wife out of jail, paid for her attorney, and got the charges dropped after she got arrested for DV. You aren't alone, brother. It's a hard road getting out, but you can do it.

Honestly, kind treatment and affection gets under my skin more nowadays. At least the shitty treatment is somewhat consistent. Kindness confuses me and gives me a false sense of hope until the next split/blowup/incident. Shout out to my therapist for keeping my head on straight.

I'm on the cusp of making the decision to leave, and I have a sneaking suspicion that my wife will weaponize my daughter against me. She's already told me that my daughter and 2 step sons don't like me, and don't want me living there. I'm anticipating a full frontal assault on the legal side. My work is pretty well covered, and I think I'll be ok financially, as I can leverage a few things against her if it goes sideways. On the bright side, she's already been arrested once for DV, and though my…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
