Hang in there man. I am by no means making excuses for her but I've heard multiple times a miscarriage has ended a marriage. It really affects both parties, especially women. You can only do what you can do. Just move forward, start working out, and you're going to have to completely get her out of your life. Block on everything and move on. Leave her in the dark and let her wonder about you, even if you still care about her.

Man I am sorry to hear that. I definitely feel for you. Sounds like everyone is telling you the same thing they are telling me. You'll be alright. It definitely sucks though. There were many reason I married my wife but one of the big ones was the fact she was Christian. I had this idiotic idea that we would always work things out due to our religion. Everyone is going to argue in a marriage and there will be issues but the point of a vow and commitment is to pick each other up and work through …

No, we are not. Our denomination frowns upon it but it's not forbidden. Yeah I found all that out but landed on my feet quickly so I just let that part go. There was no need for it, but she did it for whatever reason.

Thanks man, I hope you're right! I try to be pretty optimistic but I do regret it happened. Didn't have a chance to fix it though. Even though I did quit drinking and she got the wrong idea I would have absolutely continued down that path to make it work. I'm religious and fairly traditional. Divorce is something I never wanted or expected. She is extremely religious so that was the big shocker for me. I thought divorce was off the table unless something really bad happened. I have to stop blami…

Yeah, I'm religious as well. I'll admit there were times I drank too many but I never did anything wrong while drinking. Just got carried away with the boys while golfing. But I've never blacked out or been belligerent. Everyone has told me they have never even seen my slur my words before. Sometimes I drank beer out of boredom but I stopped all that. I didn't need her to tell me to not drink, I have a pretty good handle on myself. I suspected she was tracking me and stuff like that. I've done a…

Yeah I wonder if this is how she viewed me because of her families view on alcohol. I can't even recall being close to ever blacking out or even slurring my words. But one beer to her was too many so I guess if I had six during a whole day golfing that could seem like the end of the world to her. I legitimately gaslit myself into thinking I had a problem right after she said she wanted divorced until everyone I knew told me to stop it and they had never seen any signs of alcohol abuse from me.

I believe she had some alcoholics in her family. Her mother was extremely against alcohol. I didn't think too much of it because she never said it was a deal breaker and she still married me even though she knew I drank. But it just slowly started to change over time. I don't want you to go there, don't bring it in the house (I did, but then quit), etc. It was a slow trickle of trying to get me to just not ever be around it. Like I said, I wish I would not have at all if I knew the outcome, but …

Just get back at it man. All it takes is just showing up to the gym and you'll always feel better when you are done. Or just starting with walks that turn into jogs, and then jogs turn into runs. Just start somewhere!

Will do man, thanks

It's crazy, I just never would have expected it. I have a pretty level head but it makes sense.

A lot of people have told me this. She was actually very kind and sweet when we started dating and the first part of the marriage. It just slowly changed. I fought the idea that she was abusing for awhile but after enough people told me the same thing I started to sort of accept it. She was also really bad about giving me the silent treatment when she didn't get her way or there was a disagreement :\

I'm lucky in the fact that I enjoy working out. That's always been something that's a part of my life. I'm pretty good with not drinking at the moment but it does make social situations weird. Everyone I know in one way or the other drinks but I've held strong so far. Career is going well, about to finish up my graduate degree and I think I'll begin my doctorate next year. I'm lucky to have a large group of friends, my family is great, and all my coworkers love me. It's been nothing but support …

This will be a disaster for her. Better yourself and remove her from your mind. She will do the same thing to this dude she did to you or he will do it to her. Make sure you're thriving when it happens.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
