I’m a woman and have to agree. My ex didn’t want 50/50 because he just wants to be there for the easy stuff. Doesn’t even see his 1 year old daughter except for a hug here and there when dropping off our 5 year old son after spending an hour and a half with him some week nights. His justification for the divorce was wanting to feel like an equal parent though. Go figure. I do not consider him mentally well either.

Breastfeeding also kills libido. Took me until after a year to get it back. 4 months is when my husband started up an emotional affair though interestingly enough.

Your kids don’t care what your apartment looks like. That is all your ego. You need to be there for your kids. Your wife made it easy. Who cares if she wanted it or not. You did.

I’m a woman going through a divorce and I’m in one of those groups. It definitely makes me not want to date. I will say though, if a guy is nice and seems focused on finding a relationship, no one is going to trash him from what I have seen. My sister posted to ask about a guy after her divorce. First guy she had dated since high school 30 years prior and people had nice things to say only.

She never wanted a divorce. She wanted you to worry about losing her and change whatever it is she had an issue with assuming you also wouldn’t want a divorce. Unfortunately you called her bluff this time. It’s definitely manipulative of her to be bringing up divorce like that and if you did want to give her another chance then better conflict resolution skills would definitely be a must.

Don’t leave the house then. It can be used against you if you leave prior to all of your affairs being settled.

You know a quick google search agrees with you on the prenuptial agreement, I have just never heard of that. Probably why they can get overturned though easily enough. So I think a trust would certainly help to differentiate the funds, but isn’t required in general. It may help when there will be inevitable mixing though like when buying a house.

You don’t need a trust to handle the inheritance, but you do need to keep it separate from joint assets and expenses. As soon as you use it for buying a house for example then she is entitled to half of that because she is entitled to half the profits on the house. So it just needs to be kept separate while knowing whatever is mingled with joint will end up split. I imagine a clean trail of any movements would be good. So don’t put it in a mutual fund and then add more money that wasn’t from inh…

That doesn’t sound like nobody did anything wrong…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
