Is this the same guy you have history in your comments saying he is no longer attracted to you and you wanted to take a break? Seems like he needs therapy if he told you he wasn’t attracted to you and now if you improved your looks he is telling you you’re too attractive and people are looking. This doesn’t seem like it will be resolved by you staying home. Then he will think you are going out and meeting men when you have hobbies. You need to address the root of his insecurities.

100% this. Men don’t want to support broke women. Men want to know you can take care of yourself and feel that he is just providing for you out of love and not being forced to. It also may be a red flag that you are bad with your finances and be giving him low confidence in your ability to manage a budget should he start being the sole earner.

Same stats and info as you, I had the surgery and have had no issues since, if anything it allowed me to find and attract my life partner and HVM not because my body looked different but because I finally had the confidence to enforce my standards and only accept the best for myself. It changed my life; I never thought I was insecure before because I’ve always had a beautiful face but being without the lose skin is a million times worth it compared to the very minimal scarring

Go to Aldi and stock up on their charcuterie essentials, watch a few YouTube videos for design ideas and you could blow their minds easily for $50-60 bucks. I have a side hustle making boards that started because I got into it as a hobby and my boyfriend LOVES showing off my skills and raving to everyone he knows that I will make them the best snacks. They’re also great because they will allow for passive snacking for hours and all you have to do is set it out.

Stop coming here to post about this for validation. Idk why this is still allowed after you’ve asked multiple times about this terrible situation and never followed any advice. Don’t waste your time people.

Check out your local recreation department, sur la table stores etc SO many places offer cooking classes. It’s my favorite hobby and it’s a great way to make friends with other women. I read a lot of books but nothing comes close to doing things hands on. Nothing makes my boyfriend gush about me quit like when I cook for him and he has expressed so frequently (huge for someone who is light to give out praise) that he is so proud of the journey I’ve come on with my cooking and he loves seeing how…

Take cooking classes!! Has helped me make so many new friends and my boyfriend absolutely raves to everyone he knows about how we have had many fine dining experiences that blew his mind but nothing is as good as being able to relax at home and eat a fantastic steak I made him.

I’ll add, this is not the same thing as being a step mom and not comparable IMO as a teen being shitty to a step parent acquired through divorce.

Might be too late for this but IMO as someone who lost their dad at 16 it is WAY too soon for you to have moved in. My mom constantly wanted me to meet her partners after only a few dates and I took great offense to it as I saw them as trying to replace my dad. I wanted her to respect my boundaries enough to fully vet men before parading them into my life. I also had a huge problem when she moved a man into our house after a 12 months of dating, it felt too soon and very disrespectful to move so…

Love it, I’m going to try this along with trying to ask for his help “oh honey I can’t brush my teeth bc the drain is clogged, could you help me?” And hoping that goes more damsel in distress vs bitching lol

I was in a similar love language situation with my boyfriend. I am a HUGE gift giver and he hates material possessions and giving gifts. Huge acts of service and quality time guy. I don’t think that will ever change about someone but you can change how you receive his love. Things got a lot better for us recently when we moved in together, a little example I have is my washer and dryer. They are stacked and the doors open the opposite way and I was always banging my head on it when transferring …

I appreciate the insight though I’m going to bring up the conversation with him that this might be making him feel emasculated. I get that it’s a weird thing to do I was concerned about it at first and the dynamic of someone else coming into my space but it was the difference of saving a minimum of $2000 a month and we are both very focused on investing and being financially free so was willing to make the adjustment and save a significant amount of money to set ourselves up better for early ret…

He is from two hours away and came to the city for school we have plans to purchase a property as soon as he finishes together to live in. He already owns multiple income properties just none close enough to the school

He could have absolutely any woman he wants. I’m well above average traditionally attractive and very successful for my age and he saw a lot of potential in me and chose me.

He has the means to support me if that’s what I wanted. He is already completely financially stable and is just going to school to be able to participate more and local government and make a difference in philanthropy he’s passionate about

Yeah thanks for the insight I was hesitant with the idea at first because I knew that would play a dynamic. It seems like it might be coming through

This is not his only form of income. He has multiple properties that he owns and other streams of income he already makes the same amount of money as I do and I make very good money. he’s just doing this to pursue his passions in local government.

I only say this because he actively pursued me for months and was the first to want to become exclusive, he has had a few other LTRs so he is definitely the relationship type. I am more looking for behaviors women do that’s come off as over bearing and might not be glaringly obvious if that makes sense?

I don’t think he feels restricted just sexually. I think it’s a more general feeling of going from hyper independence to now being together 24/7.

I was very open to it, I am not a jealous person and had a lot of sexual experience coming into the relationship as did he so it was not really an issue for me. This still isn’t an issue if we were to do it down the line, I just don’t like the idea that he is feeling restricted

We will be splitting all costs, it was just cheaper to live here then find an apartment to rent, one similar to my house would be 2-3k a month vs my $500 a month mortgage. He chased me for months because he saw my potential and has pushed me to be the best version of myself in every way. He is very non-judgemental. Highly regarded amongst his peers to be the fairest and most honest person they know with a strong moral compass. Has gone through incredible hardships in his life he has overcome and…

Not at this time, he said he’s thought about it in past relationships and wanted to know my thoughts about it down the line.

Do you ladies have any tips for building temptation through the day for a man who doesn’t like sexy texting much. Or just in general building tension and desire

This is an incredible analogy! I will have to look into that as I am looking for more examples of what it feels like to be truly feminine in order to help me embrace it more in my journey.

Love this, very simple guideline to reference!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
