66	"Sit down with him and have a conversation" When I was in a relationship and I brought up my concerns, my ex used to always say “you could be nicer to me when we talk” afterward. I was being nice before in many other (ignored) conversations, and even during serious conversations I was respectful too. It wasn’t that I wasn’t being “nice” when we talked— it’s that it embarrassed him whenever I told him he was wrong and when I acknowledged it, he’d have to change.
