Woman cries in public? "Run in and comfort her." Man cries in public? "Run away and call the police in case he turns unstable." Woman leaves her husband? "So brave. Reclaim your voice, queen." Man leaves his wife? "He doesn't love her anymore :_( Why are men so avoidant?" Woman is homeless? "Get her to safety." Man is homeless? "He probably has problems so deep you can't fix them." Homeless woman dies? "Citywide tragedy. We failed." Homeless man dies? "That's life. Some people lose."

Women choose the men who force patriarchy the hardest. Those families pass it on to the next generation.

Because women's needs are met. Everyone takes them seriously when they cry. Everyone protects them. Everyone keeps them fed, warm, and cared for. Everyone listens to them. Everyone thinks they're wonderful. Everyone loves them.

Anyone will become more violent when deprived of their physical or psychological needs. We've seen this in black people too. If it's situational for them, it's situational for men too.

Thank you for upvoting him. But also, even if a therapist is empathetic and understanding, it STILL makes me feel alienated, because the fact that it's a professional relationship is othering. She's empathizing from the other side across the table, and ultimately, from the other side across the great conflict of aeons vs archons, of those (like me) who believe strength should uplift the weak, vs those (like the entire therapy belief system) who believe strength should glorify itself, even at the…

The 1st thing about therapy is that it works just like any other industry. Its goal is to keep people dependent on it, so it will try to destroy anything that challenges its monopoly (i.e. compassionate friendships that reach across castes)
/r/MensRights09/02/26 03:12 AM

Therapists' worst fear is conflict, so to avoid it, they will throw anyone vulnerable under the bus to save themselves.

Therapy is a cult. This is one of those things that people in 100 years will look back on and say "How the fuck was society stupid enough to do this instead of just caring about each other like humans?"
/r/MensRights09/02/26 02:21 AM

Therapy is rotten beyond repair. It honestly needs to go. We need to just start caring about each other and listening to each other like humans again.

That's showing patience to people who aren't sure what they identify as. I'm kind to them not because feminists are forcing me, but because I believe everyone has inherent worth. That's just one of my core values.

Oh, you believe in moral relativism! So basically, the idea that the strongest decide what's right. That's extremely dangerous. And you hate righteousness. You said it yourself. "It sounds angry and righteous." You fall squarely in the evil category. Thanks for telling me now instead of later.

I'm sorry if I gave that impression. In reality, I'm the only one in my whole college who protested with a sign for men's equality, in the central lawn of campus, where everyone walks, on International Men's Day. My hands were tingling the whole time. It took so much courage. I did it because I do care. We need to stop confusing need with greed. Someone who comes for our support because they can't support themselves, is a fellow marginalized person who deserves to be lifted up along with us.

Tragically, LGBTQ+ people are more likely to have been bullied, especially by conservative men. So while standard women have little reason to hate men these days, LGBTQ+ people have trauma. It doesn't make their misandry right, but it does mean that they can be shown patience. Men are marginalized, of course, but our rightful target is the real oppressors: powerful women who wield their money or beauty to get ahead. That's who we're fighting. Not depressed people who lash out because they're hur…

Then what about 63daddy's comment before that? Why 45 upvotes when he literally said not to pacify feminists? You hate someone who calls you out fairly and with compassion for those in need. You love someone who wants to tear you down. What does that say about you? It says girls don't know what they want. You love equality, but you also love guys who beat others up. Can't decide.

Thank you so much. That's the most insightful thing I've received on Reddit this whole month. That's absolutely true, when you think about it. The word "ally" inherently carries a connotation of distance and othering. The word "friend" is what I should use. But I still need to tell you something. Regardless of what party you're in, so much of life is just trying to be the most masculine man or the most feminine women. Yeah. As men, we have the protective instincts to be the bigger person and rise above others' hate for us. And we try, and I really admire you for that. Sometimes even we need boundaries if the people asking for our help just keep hurting us again and again without remorse.

You don't have to be social at all times. But you do have the responsibility to be compassionate. Attractiveness is a huge privilege that many would die for. As with any other power, it comes with the responsibility to help those who have less. I'm not talking about superficially pleasing people. I'm talking about deeply caring for them. People expect you to go out of your way because you'd want them to do the same if it was you who needed compassion. It's the golden rule. Your attractiveness sp…

At least those women are kind to those who have less. That's virtuous. It's far better than the everyday woman who cheers the alpha male. Understand that they have a valid reason to be afraid of you: many attractive people misuse that privilege by being mean and excluding others. You may not be that way, but it's on you to gently show that. As an attractive person, you have the responsibility to be patient with people who are afraid of you, listen to them, and help them feel safe and loved.

When liberals excluded lonely men who would've supported trans people, they made Trump win. And when you exclude trans people who would've supported men's rights, you make radical feminism win. Both sides are pathetic and hypocritical, losing sight of their goals by tripping over their own bloodthirst. I'm on the side of those who have less.

Psychiatrists have been horrendously ignorant and evil all throughout history. What makes you think this generation is different?
