20 year+ marriage has become a prison cell. I can’t stay any longer, but I can’t seem to leave. These are wise words. I just read no more Mr nice guy, by Robert Glover. It was enlightening to understand how being a “nice guy”, just breeds contempt and disrespect. Being a nice guy, allows them to go for your throat. It’s definitely time to protect my balls, and to make sure she understands that I’m not a nice guy. I had just been brainwashed into being one and subduing my natural instincts. Thank you! | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/04/24 08:13 PM
20 year+ marriage has become a prison cell. I can’t stay any longer, but I can’t seem to leave. It’s a hard truth. It wasn’t always like this. I should have seen the writing on the wall a lot sooner. First came the criticisms, then the contempt, then the loss of trust and respect. It’s the cold hard truth. There’s really nothing that will change it at this point, no matter how hard I try, or what I do. I know I’ll be better off once I break free. It’s still heartbreaking. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/04/24 08:00 PM

20 year+ marriage has become a prison cell. I can’t stay any longer, but I can’t seem to leave. These are wise words. My stbx’s mother in law worked for the IRS for 30 years. She taught my wife to be pretty crafty when it comes to financial machinations. Extreme caution is warranted. When hoping for the best is delusional, it’s time to plan for the worst. “Batten down the hatches” is very good advice. I have to remember that everything I say and do, can, and most likely will be used against me in a court of law. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/04/24 07:48 PM

Seriously. Twilight zone people. The terrifying thing about this, is that this could be any one of us. Who among us hasn’t said something we regret during an argument? | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/03/24 04:09 AM
Seriously. Twilight zone people.Good hell! Brother, my heart goes out to you. That takes a lot of intentional planning, conniving, and deception. For her to so blatantly manipulate, and take advantage of the situation, borders on evil. The best revenge, is living well. Keep your head up and just take it hour by hour, day by day. Eventually, she’ll make a mistake, and show the world who she really is. What you reap you shall surely sow. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/03/24 04:06 AM
