It's true that most people don't care until it is their problem. But the alternative in this situation would require a Florida-like law, in which use of force (upto and including lethal force) by civilian bystanders is justified.

There are? I don't think so. Maybe certain indigenous people living off the land. But the rest of the world is concerned with one thing only: work. And that's the definition of status and hierarchy.

That would be a society that depended more on vigilante action than so-called "law and order." As it stands now, a man who sees another man harassing a woman and engages in a physical confrontation with said man ends up with an assault charge and prison. Or, if this is any number of states in the US, someone pulls out a gun and people get shot. Or, say a black man stands up to a white man harassing a woman. Well, in the US, the cops are going to show up and shoot the black man. What you are aski…

I mean, obviously no one should be hitting on women or trying to touch anyone on the train. But prison for looking at someone? That sounds psychotic.

How do you deal with the potential of jealousy. To know that you've been demoted from husband or "main partner" to secondary, tertiary or n-ary partner, sexually? Do you try to find random anonymous hookups and ONSs?

Very few men actually have this happen to them, but excuse me, an experience of female raw sexual attraction was not reserved for everybody and your dog. You are absolutely right about that. Just being honestly desired, period, would be enough. No crazy porn techniques required. Being in a largely sexless relationship certainly makes me feel completely undesired. But I also understand that being truly sexually desired by a woman over the course of a very long-term relationship is astronomically …

It does suck that every woman has this exact same experience: being attacked, groped and harassed by creepy psychos all the time. I can understand why women think all men are evil, stalker-y creeps. I can honestly say I've never once attempted to hit on a woman or flirt with a woman in any public setting under any circumstance. Because I know women not only despise that shit, they assume danger (because they've always faced danger). This has been true forever, so it's not like it's some sort of …

Honestly, quite often. I can fuck without ejaculation and sometimes orgasm without ejaculation, but if I can't, I just fake it and go without cumming. Also, lube is a thing. Rather than demanding your partner be a 100% perfect sex-robot performance artist and kicking him out if he isn't, you could be a human and both still have a good time. And condoms are also a thing. Then there would be a lot less danger for you. If there were never any cum, it sounds like you would hate things less. I'd cert…

I don't believe women should accept crappy sex. But the way would describe sex and men overall is 100% negative. It sounds like you hate everything about the experience of PIV sex, so why the fuck would you bother? Why the fuck would you have a partner you resent having sex with and see as a risk? Kicking your partner off and ending everything immediately just for spite. Sounds like you might be a little more selfish than you'd like to admit. After having something like that happen, I'd just lea…

I think many men are here because they are incapable of having a dating / sex life, and that's because they are bitter about relationships in which they were hurt.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 07:29 PM

Yeah, I don't see any aggressive or assertive women. I've never seen a woman hit on or flirt with a man. And I've definitely never seen a dangerous, violent woman (they do exist, but are rare). How many women shoot up the school or pull out a gun and kill someone over some petty bullshit? Very few, comparatively

You should be with a woman, then. That way you would never have to deal with the unpleasantness of a man cumming.

That's an interesting situation. Couple in their 40s with a few kids somehow still manages to have good sex three times a week. More sex than virtually any other couple with children in history. They both claim to enjoy it. But they are going to get divorced because she's bored and is going to leave in order to play the field. Chad strikes again! Even in middle age.

Less risk of genetic defects and disease. If you have inborn metabolic disorders or genetic defects, it is usually apparent in facial deformities. So even if you are he-man, nobody wants your ugly mutant flipper babies.

It's a matter of intelligence, family wealth and environment. A not-so-smart sociopath raised in the ghetto is going to become a gangbanger and get pinched or shot. An intelligent sociopath with family money is going straight to the C-suite and will become a billionaire oligarch CEO or finance bro. Like Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk.

Stable is boring. Being financially stable means you have to work...a lot...usually in a boring corporate job. No fun or excitement in that. Being a coked-up daredevil motorcycle stuntman who fights alligators. That's exciting. Hence, sexy.

No, I mean once a couple falls "out of sex," so-to-speak, it never comes back. No one ever successfully resurrects a dead sex life. I think most seniors are "unpartnered," because their husband or wife died.

The toughest part is that sex is awesome at the start of almost everyone's relationship. It takes a few half-lives to drop significantly, then it's gone forever.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 11:39 PM
2

Actually, yes it does for the same woman. At least it could, if said woman continued to be interested. I don't want random anonymous ONS sex, and neither do a lot of men. We want someone who is interested in us and doesn't cease physical intimacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 11:30 PM
7

Experience and observation would suggest otherwise. I honestly think the authors' very sad conclusion is true: for the majority of couples, there is a sexual half-life, with the woman's sexual desire steadily decaying. After 5 half-lives, you hit a sexless relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 11:19 PM
1

Ooh, weaponized incompetence is a great phrase. You should make that the new "emotional labour." And yes, men being dirty slobs is not attractive. But it's not like doing all the dishes on earth is going to increase a man's sexual attractiveness. I guarantee that in couples who have reasonably distributed household chores, and he is not this constantly cited stereotypical manbabypig, she still loses interest in him.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 11:19 PM
2

There are couples who actually do have very frequent, genuinely good sex just because they are attracted to each other. And not just for the first month or two of a relationship, but for decades. It's rare. But it does exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 11:00 PM
1

And you still actually want to have sex with him? Even with a kid? Because that's pretty rare these days. All I read are posts and articles about women who absolutely fucking hate their partners after having a baby.

You need to know how to be playful and flirtatious If that were something that was easily learned, my life would be (and would have been) so much better.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 10:24 PM
2

So for you to have any interest in sex, there has to be the seductive element of mystery? You definitely aren't alone in that belief, as people cheat all the time in search of that eternal new mystery. That's the "open" relationship mentality, a couple that is married and good friends, but only fuck other people, not each other, because they are bored of each other. I guess it works for some.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 10:13 PM
2

Interesting. I don't think I could handle it (I think the thought of being "demoted" from husband to potential 3rd wheel would eat at me, causing jealousy and eventual separation), but I'm always interested in those who manage it emotionally.

First of all, true progressives (leftist, libertarian socialist) are anti-corporatism. In the US, there are few real progressives in politics. The Republicans are insane fascists, oligarchs or theocratic wannabe dictators. And most Democrats are meek, center-right pussies, afraid to upset their corporate paymasters.

Sex isn't a stage performance where you're on your own and have to just hope the audience will clap at the end. It is this performative anxiety that has absolutely hounded me for the past several years. I wish I could get rid of it.

Exactly. People need to make their wedding about THEMSELVES, not about their families and not about showing off to 600 of their not-so-close associates. Have a small, intimate wedding celebrating you and your new spouse. No need to rent a private island in order to impress your 17th cousin or that one girl who used to live with your friend in college.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 07:04 PM

I always thought that was weird. You actually like your partner and even live together, but are extremely opposed to getting married.

Mainly because the millenial and zoomer generations saw their parents all get divorced and end up hating each other. Also, nobody under 40 has any money. Even if you busted your ass at a top-level school, got a graduate degree (in my case, a PhD) and make at least $100k, you still can't afford a house. At least in the US or Canada. And that's at age 30-40. Previous generations could have a family at age 22. That family might have fallen apart later, but they still weren't in the position of "jus…

I know there are more important things than sex and obviously, in real-life relationships, sex drops off in the wake of more boring life requirements. However, that feeling of being desired and being desirable is enchanting, and it's sad to see it dissipate in a relationship.

I understand your point: life is boring, the vast majority of it is spent at work and most people don't have the time or the ability to do much other than passively exist. Work, eat, shit, sleep, rinse and repeat until death. So why not drag a partner along for the boredom? Just because it is largely true doesn't mean I have to like it. I can dream of a life where my partner was actually attracted to me and was honestly enthusiastic about sex, instead of your example of a starfish who says "meh,…

That's just it, if the men here only wanted meaningless anonymous sex, they would pay for it.

I'm sorry. That's clearly insecurity (cheating paranoia) and I hope he drops that shit (and doesn't become a right-winger like the majority of the RP cult). I'm definitely not a RP person. If anything, I've spent the last 4 years in a pit of self hatred solely because I'm a man (and if you haven't heard, we're all evil misogynistic rapists who shouldn't ever have any sort of sexual desire). Being desired is the rarest, but perhaps best, feeling on earth.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 09:56 PM

Wow, I've never seen a woman say that. It's amazingly refreshing. Usually on the internet, it's always the man's fault if the woman cheats and it's the man who is constantly failing at being ideal.

That's the sad decay from lust to sexlessness. Very typical. Almost guaranteed. But honestly, OP did make it sound like she always thought of her husband as a roommate she was friends with and occasionally had sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 09:38 PM
2

Enjoy it. Once you're 40, you can't pretend your shit don't stink anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 09:33 PM

That's a sad commentary. I know you're right, but it is still sad. That means that long-term relationships shouldn't be a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 09:27 PM
1

At first, yes. But that has a rather short half-life. Eventually, there's a enough decay in sexual desire that it becomes a stalemate. As the OP described her husband, a roommate you share parental duties with.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 09:18 PM

Yep. Or like her friend, she cheats on him and lies about it until the divorce.

Ask yourself: if you lost your Vice City druglord sounding lifestyle, would she still be with you? No. So she's there for the cash. Just like someone who marries a celebrity.

Isn't so-called "adult" life just that: settling. We tell children to follow their dreams, that they can do anything and also make an income doing what they love! And then the reality is: they get a bachelor's, maybe a Master's or even a PhD, find they have to completely abandon their dreams and end up in Toledo, working as an assistant director of sales for a company that sells ball bearings. Why? Because work sucks and dreams don't pay the bills. Sad but true for 99% of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:44 PM
1

So maybe men expect too much in terms of certainty about their desirability, but maybe women also typically deliver too little positive feedback. Any sort of positive feedback or sign of desire would be nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:04 PM

Um, exhibit genuine enthusiasm about having sex with him? A "fuck yes," instead of a "meh, alright."

Wow, your husband is lucky. To be lusted over...in a long-term relationship. That's something only a very tiny sliver of humankind ever experiences. And usually once a couple has kids, sexy fun times are over, because they are parents first, rather than a couple.

I guess that is why sex and initiating sex are such massive sources of anxiety for me. The pair-bonding aspect is the only thing that is truly important for me. Whereas most men dissociate love and sex and are good with seeking anonymous hookups.

Oh no, not the evil emotional labour argument. Always interesting that women are allowed to talk about psychological issues with a partner, but men are not because it is emotional labour. True. The difference is the women don't want to have sex, they are thrilled to be free of it. Men, on the other hand, want to kill themselves, or--god forbid--shoot up the school. If men could not care about sex so much, they would be a lot happier.

It is interesting. Women who have never had any sort of relationship with a man are the happiest possible women. They don't dwell in a pit of despair, forever beating themselves up for being a "dreaded virgin." Women honestly "go their own way," in that they just don't give a fuck about relationships or sex. Men, on the other hand, don't honestly "go their own way." They become obsessive and end up bitching endlessly about a subject they claim not to care about. To me, that shows that men do nee…

There were just two psychological studies out about how female sexual attraction to a man with whom she has a child lasts about two years, and basically then turns off in most women. Considering most couples don't really have sex for the first year or so after having a kid, I'd question this.

I think one interesting difference between relationship and sexual dynamics in gay couples and hetero couples is that gay men are not typically shy, coy or obtuse about their desires and intentions. It's typically okay as a gay man (correct me if I'm wrong), to be honest and direct: would you like to have sex? But women never do that. There is no honest, direct initation or expression of sexual desire by a woman towards a man. Women want men to do all the approaching, seducing, initiating, etc..…

inspire true female desire in her Damn. Now that's a uniquely ideal situation. It is certainly something that can't be taught.

The FDS crowd is just a collection of the bitchiest mean girl bitches on earth. Just like the MGTOW crowd is often just bitter members of the he-man "no girls allowed" club.

Yes in a relationship. No, 100% not RP. Perhaps excessively blue pill to the point of putting myself down for being a man. But I don't really think this dichotomy applies to most real life people. The issue is that there are going to be fewer and fewer real people out there as social media continues to fuck with successive generations. And to be honest, I'll take pills of any color if they contain amphetamines ;)

Interesting that you have no libido, except very occasionally. I wonder what is capable of triggering it?

Oh I absolutely agree with you that women are usually stuck with the majority of child-rearing work and family-related chores. That's probably the number one reason for divorce. And why divorced women with kids are happier than married women with kids. And why childless women who have never had any sort of relationship are happier than everyone. I really only have anecdotes in which a sexless relationship was not in any way improved by the man taking on most of the home related chores. It might …

This also sounds like the definition of an "open" marriage. It's totally platonic, but the woman has fun side relationships with various lovers and the man is celibate. Until jealousy kicks in and the whole thing falls apart.

Even in cases where a man has taken over the vast majority of homemaking work (plus a full time corporate job), it doesn't at all result in a resurrection of the couples' sex life. I think it is more that once people have kids, they are no longer individuals and no longer a couple. They are parents. The focus is on the kids. So there is no more sexiness to be had, more of a platonic love.

Yeah, that's not a huge downgrade. Most couples don't really have sex for a year or so after having a kid.

All the legal benefits of a domestic partnership, but women don't have to deal with sex. A blueprint for humankind's sexless future.

I think this is the truest answer. Nothing about sex or or living with a man is particularly appealing. There's nothing for women to gain, only liability. As that study showed, single childless women who have never had a relationship are the happiest. We could attempt to understand why sex and relationships are so unappealing for women, but it's easier to blame (because then you don't have to feel like shit about yourself, because it is someone else's fault).

But you just said that no man on earth would ever be capable of meeting even minimum standards and that all men are deeply misogynistic/sexist and only drag you down. So why bother with a relationship you clearly don't want? No shame in being single.

If your only reason for having a relationship is to ensure that the other person exceeds your cleanliness standards when cleaning your home, wouldn't it just be easier to live alone? Your claim that you have to "put up with sexist attitudes (and yeah I'm picking the least sexist men I know...it's still there)," means you assume all men are sexist scumbags. All possible relationships with men will therefore be a negative influence on your life. So why bother? Why not just be happy and spend your …

I think women in general would appreciate if men gave up on the idea that PIV sex is all that important. Penetration just isn't all that enjoyable for women and doesn't cause orgasm, so I'm sure a woman would appreciate the focus being just on them.

I mean, technically at least one study has shown that childless women who have never had a relationship (with a man) are the happiest women out there. Of course, YMMV. Living in a dorm situation sucks. I was miserablely unhappy living in a dorm even at 18 when I was in college.

I'm not sure about the sample size and power of this study, but I do remember reading a sociological study that showed that the happiest and most satisfied people were childless women who had never been in a relationship (at least, a relationship with a man, I don't think the study went into same sex relationships). So, the idea that women have ever truly desired relationships is more a product of social conditioning. It seems like only men are saddened by being "forever alone" and sexless. Wome…

Women aren't some strange xenomorphic alien species from beyond the moon. They do the same shit men do after work: possibly work-out, cook and eat dinner, then sleep and wake and up for work the next day. Work, eat, sleep. Rinse and repeat. It's the same for everyone. We've all got maybe 2 non-working, non-sleeping hours a day.

Because they don't care. You might not fully understand the careerist/perfectionist type of personality. You are thinking about your dick. They are thinking about work/school. And only work/school. It takes a lot to be that perfect and cutthroat. Sex and relationships are at the bottom of the list in terms of priorities.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 10:09 PM

You are talking about a very small set of ruthlessly competitive careerists here. Why would someone who works 80--90 hours a week with the goal of being in the upper echelons of their field ever want a relationship or even care about sex? Why would you pursue someone who is not only married to their job, but willing to die for it?

I think that's bullshit. Everyone is having less sex, because a huge number of people are extremely depressed, constantly overworked and burnt the fuck into the ground by the soulless corporatist dystopia that is the contemporary US. If a person has a lot of free time, then they usually have no money. If someone has a high-ish income, they have no free time and have to work a bullshit job. And most people have no money and no time, they're barely scraping by working a bunch of shitty, abusive jo…

They become the one who stands by and lets an abundance of women approach them, and they are the ones that do the vetting and try to match all their standards. You know that this literally never happens. Unless this is person is a billionaire or a celebrity, then they will indeed have tons of phony friends trying to suck up to them. But literally zero men who aren't rich and famous have "an abundance of women approach them." The reason Chad is Chad in this situation is because Chad is always doi…

I don't think they are as rare as assumed. There are plenty of above-average looking men with graduate degrees and reasonable incomes (~100k-150k-ish, maybe not house-buying money, but not crap) who don't have the one key factor: they aren't the initiator. In sex, in conversation, in life. Being dominant (but not an arrogant prick) and extroverted are musts. It's all about the confidence and being the initiator (but in a subtle, sexy way, with finesse and understated power), so introverts and th…
