Yeah, essentially by pleading the 6th, you also invoke your 5th amendment rights. If the cops are talking to you, you are a suspect. You can invoke your rights at any time when talking to a cop. (If it's just a traffic cop, just be nice.) If you wait until they read you your Miranda Rights it's already too late.

Everyone needs to read the book "You Have The Right To Remain Innocent." It's a very short read -- only took me a couple hours. It explains how it's better to use the 6th amendment right to an attorney. There are loopholes when taking the 5th that police can use to screw you over or manufacture evidence against you. A Chewy granola bar weighs 24g -- 7g is added sugar. It's marketed as a "healthy" snack because it's got 9g of whole grains in it. A single YooHoo contains more than half your daily sugar. That's just a couple things that I consume regularly. And have you seen how much sugar McDonald's puts in their sweet tea? It's insane -- we used to add 1 pound of sugar per gallon. That's because companies put sugar in everything to get people addicted to their products. There's like a million different alternate names for sugar they put in the nutrition labeling besides "sugar."
