I'm a little worried about him seeing me without makeup because I'm self-conscious about my skin A flirty little night time routine can help a lot with this. Brush your teeth together and take off your make up while you flirt around with him by hip bumping him and things of the like. Being fun and flirty about it can help ease some of the anxiety you may have about it. Wear practical shoes when you guys go out. I'm not saying that you can't wear heels, but don't wear stilettos if you're going to…

By attitude I'm a stubborn, egoist, less feminine girl who likes having things her way. I like leading and winning. The problem is he is that way too. Stop being this way. It's actually the problem. You don't need to have your way. There are times you want it and when you NEED something you should voice it. Stop being all about you. Sadly he doesn't open up much, and it's a struggle to get him to be more emotional. Why does he need to be emotional and feminine. He opens up every time he leads. H…

just because he keeps asking what I want for dinner - though I cook it, or what I want to do, doesn't mean I have to have my way - and to be honest I'd rather he just says what he wants The man doesn't care what I cook 99.9% of the time. When he does he tells me what he wants. Other than that it's left up to me to decide. It doesn't bother me, because he can still lead without micromanaging. He is asking you for input. He isn't doing this so that you make the decision. He's doing it so that he c…

Give him a nuru massage if you are looking to give him a massage. It's really the only massage type IMO that really fits with men. You're literally rubbing your body all over him and then have lots of good sex. Blowjobs are great suggestions too.

There are a lot of assumptions going on in this thread related to something you said and I want to address it. before we committed my SO told me his boundaries which included no being out past 10 no matter what circumstance, no guy friends, and no bars or clubs. I made peace with the last two because I didn't go to bars or clubs almost ever. You agreed to those when you commit and stayed. If you didn't then you can not be with this person or you should have expressed it and allowed him to choose…

Start practicing active listening. A lot of times it forces you to focus on what is going on and not your emotions. Example: I think this chicken probably needed five less minutes in the oven. It's just a little dry. I hear what you're saying. You think the chicken needed a little less time in the oven, because it came out a little dry. Yes. When you practice active listening. You hear what they're saying. Repeat what you hear from them and then the person will either correct you and you try aga…

I think ultimately he started as okay with it, because you came off as a good woman to him. I think it is something that he tried to deal with and just can't. It happens. It isn't your fault or his. You're just incompatible in this arena. You didn't lie about it or hide it and you say that you've been open to being honest and discussing it with him. You answer his questions and nothing appeases it. I think there could be something underlying here that isn't discussed. For instance, it might be p…

We're all human. We all make mistakes. No one is perfect. Face that head on. Own your mistakes. Your mistakes have helped to shape you and get you to this moment. Without those mistakes and your ability to recognize them you might not be here. Be thankful for that. I'm especially hang up over possibly ruining a few opportunities with great men due to bad past behavior like neediness Those opportunities have passed you. You've already ruined those past relationships. Getting hung up obsessively o…

You can't make her listen. She is an adult. She needs to want to help herself. Try offering her advice and provide her with stories that embody RP truths. Tell her stories of the slutty girls who end up as the perpetual pump and dump. Tell her stories of the virtuous girls who end up with great men and happy relationships. Remind her that men don't mind have sex with a promiscuous girl, but that those girls are not the ones they end up taking home to their mothers. If you feel like she would ben…

He's not interested in you for more than sex. You know it deep down. It's why you think he's being distant. You're basically feeling his lack of real want for a relationship with you. He never gave you any real impression that he wants a relationship with you. In fact every sign points to him NOT wanting one. Actions speak louder than words and his are screaming at you pretty loud and really clear. They're saying you're a plate. Move on and let this relationship go. In the future learn from this…

You're both contributing. You're just contributing differently than he is. If you feel you need to voice this one time. Then let it drop from then on out. However, really I don't think you should do that. You've already been told over and over again that it's okay etc. believe him. Constantly questioning this is telling him that you don't trust him. It's telling him that you don't believe him. So stop. Let it go and be grateful.

Sit him down to talk about it at a neutral time. Lay it all out on the table. I don't want to have children right now. I don't feel ready. I want to finish nursing school. I want to get a job and spend a while with our marriage being just us. I want to have time to enjoy you before we throw kids into the mix. Make sure that you lay it out there. Sometimes hesitation for not having children can be taken as not wanting to have children with the person that you're with or not wanting them at all. A…

After quite some time I noticed that no server was coming out to take out orders. However, I trusted that we was aware of this also and continued to talk. Quite a bit more time passed, and I looked around as though to look for a server. It was then that he said something, but made no suggestions on a solution. I smiled, and looked at him, hoping he would suggest something. He eventually suggested we go inside. Say something about this, but then make a feminine move to resolve it. My ,we've been …

RPW doesn't really have a stance on this. My personal stance is that you should do what you feel improves you. I wouldn't get breast enhancement for a man, but if I wanted it I would absolutely do it for myself.

"I've been thinking a lot about wanting to have children lately, because I think we're in a good position to start a family. What do you think about it?" This puts the ball in his court so that you two can have an open discussion about it. You can say why you think starting now is a good idea and he can discuss possible wants and concerns.

There is a difference between being emotional and being an emotional powder keg. Right now you're trying not to be the powder keg, but the problem is your partner feels like you're closing yourself off. He wants you to open up to him. He's said so. Open up and be vulnerable with him some. It seems to me like he needs it from you.

Chill out woman! There are so many things that could be happening right now. Calm yourself. Bitches be trippin'. After he left he told he would try and see me sunday if his family plans fell through. He said he would text me. It's possible he meant he would text you if his plans fell through and his lack of response means they haven't. It's not a ton of your business what her SO complains to your SO about. If you're overhearing it ignore it. If your SO is telling you then you can politely ask him not to. It's okay to say that you don't want to hear it. If you're stuck where you have no choice but to listen you can politely change the subject or excuse yourself. You don't need to decipher it.

We all have days where we feel shitty. It happens. Mine usually happens around the time where I'm menstruating. I feel bloated and gross. The thing is remember that your looks are not the ONLY thing that matters. Your personality/ attitude is important. As you get older your looks will fade. It's just a fact. Your attitude can and will make up for it. Take comfort in that.

Has anyone gone through this? Yes. I've dealt with this for a long time. I don't want a career. Honestly, I want to be a SAHM for my entire life. I know that monetarily in this day and age those things aren't as likely. I spent time exploring my options in college thinking about career paths that would work and benefit me without being a hindrance to my time at home and with children. I looked at early childhood education. While it doesn't pay well there are benefits when it comes to work times.…

Masturbate. There are tons of toys out there. Look into them. A Hitachi magic wand could be your best friend. Exercise. Get out of the house and go do things. It could be going on a walk or simply grocery shopping. Anything that helps release pent up energy is going to be positive.

You need to think about whether or not it's you not trusting him or if it's you not wanting to give up control that you feel you have now. Often people confuse those two things. It's rare that we think if we allow our partners to make the decision that he's going to burn the house down, wreck the car, and kill the kids/pets. It's that we've become accustomed to running everything our way and we don't want to give it up. Letting go of that control that you've become accustomed to can be incredibl…

I think I've realized that writing out my feelings helps, I just need to figure out which way is best for me to do that, whether it be a private journal, a blog, or just writing it down and burning it. I'm going to suggest that you don't write it down and burn it. At least not daily. I am going to suggest that you sit down and put pen to paper. You have to let go of him getting fired. There are morally bankrupt people in the world. There are criminals. Jobs come and go. Learn to separate real complaints with weight from the ones that have very little. It's okay to have real issues and complaints with things. Learn to let go of the things that don't matter by really thinking about what they actually affect in the grand scheme of things. It's okay to initiate conversation with him when you want to talk to him or spend time with him. If he doesn't respond then he doesn't respond, but it's okay to text him. I've always dated men who are older than I am. The man is 6 years older than I am. You have a larger age gap, but I don't think it's always an age thing. I think it can be a personality thing. My boyfriend says he needs me to be more direct enough in my affection. What kind of affection? Is he talking about sexual relations? Does he need more verbal affection? Does he want you to hold his hand and cuddle more? Does he need you to do more thoughtful little gift gestures for him? I really have to consciously think about what he means by affection and what that looks like to him. Ask him. Seriously. Tell him the truth. "I show my affection for you by doing X. You can cook the meals ahead of time and freeze them so all you have to do is heat them up. Premade casseroles can be your best friend. You can also do meals where you make all the prep ahead of time so you just have to throw the meal in the oven for it to cook. I don't know much about your field, but many people take a lot of time off after a child and then go back to the workforce once they enter kindergarten. It's not uncommon and often works. My mother was an educator and worked in every school I attended until she retired early and got a new job.

I like the idea of asking him why. I hope it doesn't backfire into "because I said so" If he says "because I said so" it is okay to say. I need something more substantial. I need you to say because it's what I prefer or because it's monetarily smarter. I doubt that if you approach things politely and honestly that he'll say "because I said so". I think he'll understand that you actually want to know the motivation of it for him and be mindful of it.

A few days ago, he brought up that his brother and his brother's girlfriend were already saying “I love you.” They haven't been dating very long, so he found this overly sappy and a little disgusting. Then he continued to say that while he enjoys having me around, he does not love me. For some people saying I love you is such a big thing that they will not do so until a great deal of time has been invested in the relationship. There are always adjustment periods. People prefer different things. Because you want to let him lead you need to learn how to accept the corrections for his preferences with grace. You don't ever seem to have asked why. It's okay to ask why. Staying busy does help, but make sure that it's productive. It works better if what you're doing is productive. It could be crocheting, quilting, knitting, cleaning, organizing, canning, etc. It doesn't matter as long as when you're done with it you see results. I wish we had more intimacy during sex. Take a look at the intimacy that you're getting outside of sex. I get the feeling that you were willing to do for him in the past and there is a possibility that you're not getting intimacy you need and that's part of this issue. I know if I feel like my partner isn't intimate with me (hand holding, kissing, looking me in the eyes, cuddling, appreciating what I do for him, etc.) then I feel neglected and don't want to do for him. I believe in him but I cringe because any encouragement sounds trite/condescending coming out of my mouth, and I don't really believe it. I don't really know if everything will be ok, do I? Will it get better? Try changing what you say when you offer encouragement. Instead of saying "it will be okay" or "it'll get better". Tell him that you believe in him. We can't always have sex. It's just the way it is. We get sick. We have body troubles. Focusing on the orgasm makes it easier. You can sexually please someone in many ways. Taking away time from foreplay makes him think you view it as a chore. Why wouldn't he? You're rushing like you wanna get in, get out, and be done. Welcome. I'm going to recommend that you read The Surrendered Wife by Laura Doyle, The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands by Laura Schlessinger, and for intimacy related texts The Guide to Getting it on by Paul Joannides (it's an all around good read for informative information on sex). The thing is think about it this way. Very often any woman who posts "woman here..." in TRP is looking for some form of attention regardless of whether or not the quality of the post is on point. It's an attention grab. The same is believed of men here. If you have good advice you have good advice. There isn't a need to qualify that advice with your gender.

Remember this isn't about you. This is about her and what she wants and what will make her happy. Just like there are MGTOW there are also women who c…

I know he's interested in me on some level (as I am him), but he's "not looking for a relationship". He's told you that he's not interested in a relationship right now. You're already 30. Do you really want to sit and wait for a day that may never come with this man or be a plate for him? If you don't cut your losses and move on. Look for someone who is interested in a relationship and don't waste the time that you have left.

It's not your height that makes you feminine. It's how you carry yourself. It's your persona and conduct that make you a feminine lady. I really wouldn't worry about it.

I start to pull away. They give chase, and men love the chase (to the extent their masculine pride will allow.) The better they treat me, the more I pull away. You pull away when you start to sense them becoming overly invested in you at their comments of having never met anyone like you before. It's a turn off so you pull away. They chase. Instead of chasing you want someone who will say okay when you do and leave you alone. You're losing respect for these men because they're betaing up the pla…

There is no reason that you have to bring this up right now. He isn't initiating this conversation with you so I think that's a sign that you're both in the same place. His response of "soon" could be a way to get them to stop asking. I know it's a typical response when people are together, but aren't in the right place to get married. However, if you want to talk to him about it there isn't any reason that you can't or shouldn't talk about it with him. This post explains everything very well. I…

Good DBT is the best for BPD. Never be afraid to switch doctors. Often there are a great many good ones, but they're not all good ones for you. If you find that your doctor and therapy has become ineffective then it's definitely something that you should consider. I'd also record your moods when it comes to medication. After a while medications can become ineffective and sometimes there are alternate medications that you can take or ones that aid the ones you may be taking. Your environment can …

Do any of you ladies have some tips on managing a college schedule with keeping house? Homework is should always come first. However, it is easy to do laundry while reading for a course or studying. Reserve an hour where you can clean every day. Pick up after yourself at night. Try to keep things organized easily. Have baskets for laundry separated by whites and colors. Use command hooks to hang things like purses, keys, pot holders, etc. Try to make being organized easy for him. Look at how you…

Would it mean I'm valuable again in his eyes. I know it's a hypothetical but I'd like to prepare myself Honestly, I rarely think that relationships work out the second time and I don't think you would have been able to do enough development to grow into a place where you and he would be a good fit in a relationship…

Do you have any advice on how I should treat him now? We go to school together and I have him in a class. Is there a mature way of handling it? Obviously, I will not speak to him. That's pretty much all you have to do. Allow him to have his space. If he engages you and says hi to try to be friendly be willing to talk back, but don't take that as a sign of hope. Is there any additional way of respecting his need for space and my need to move on? Should I actively avoid him and avoid eye contact? …

He probably does want to keep you in his life if you're taking care of his physical needs. If I were you I would let him go. Work on you. OkCupid can be okay. The questions will allow you to weed people out and a lot of the people looking for hookups will weed themselves out with the content of messages they send you. The man knows people who met on Match and eHarmony. They're married couples who are happy in their relationships. I would also consider those if you find OkCupid to not be good enough.

My issue is that even though we've been dating for over 1,5 years he isn't showing signs of really committing to me. How is he not showing signs of really committing to you? You say that there is no sign that of a ring or moving in together. What are the things that tell you that? Actions speak louder than words what do his actions tell you? Some things I do regularly on a certain day for ease, but it's not really a schedule it's more they're related and easy to do at once on a Saturday. Other than that I try to do a little every day. One of the things that you have to remember about building anything is that there is a monetary investment as well as a time investment. The time investment can end up making things not worth doing yourself. I used to make soap. i learned all about TRP and i am regretting my current LTR but don't want a drama storm but its already too late to not have one of those... Now I just want out He clearly says he wants out. Give him what he wants. Bow out gracefully and move on. Both of you will be far better in the long run. Do you really want to spend your life with someone who openly says that they regret you, that they don't want to be with you, and on top of that think that you're mentally unstable enough to stalk them? Cu…

The thing with nagging is that a lot of it depends on how important it is, the tone, and whether or not it sounds like you're blaming the person. I think you could tell him more than once hey baby, we really need to put the food away after we use it so it doesn't go bad. We won't be able to stay within the budget if we waste food. Use "i" speak for this. Instead of using the word you which can place blame say we. Make it a group effort. You will both do it. Make sure that you say why it's import…

For example, the article notes that she should just forget about the 'small things' that bug her as obviously they don't bug her husband. But won't that cause resentment? It can if it is a symptom of a larger issue. For the most part you have to remind yourself that we all have quirks. Remembering that you have them too and he doesn't say anything will help you remind yourself that relationships involve being able to get along. You might have a friend who does things that annoy you, but they're …

I was on the Mirena. I know people who love it. I just didn't do well on it at all. It could have been something that related to a reproductive disorder that I have, but I'm not sure.

Yes it exists for women also. Alpha Widowhood, falling in love, puppy love, obsession, lust, etc. I think most people have felt something similar at some point in time. Sometimes you fall for the wrong person. It hurts. Acknowledging it and moving on is really the only thing you can do. We all make mistakes. It's important to take what you've learned and put that towards a new relationship. You might get a new hobby, hang out with your friends, or even just complain and moan. You just find a way…

how can I let him know that even with this horrible thing going on that he is a bright spot in my life? Tell him and show him. * I appreciate how supportive you've been with me with everything that has been going on. * It means a lot that you're here for me when I need you. * Text him a nice little note or write him one. * Cook him dinner. * Do something he enjoys that you might not. * Men are fixers. If you have a problem that you bring to him he's going to want to fix it. While he can't stop d…

A year ago I was gorgeous, plenty of male attraction, easily an 8 or 9 out of ten. Then I settled down with a guy and shortly after, my looks started sinking. I'd say I'm a firm 7 now, maybe even a 6 on the bad days. I'm in my mid-twenties. I'm 25 and there are some days that I feel so old and unattractive. These are days where that morning kiss from my SO helps or putting on something really nice and hearing you look nice today helps. There are tons of things that you can do to pump up your moo…

I'm going to try to break this down piece by piece and may even ask a few more questions at the end to help me out. I either appreciate the man and I'm all lovey-dovey and amazed about anything he does but at the same time I become insecure about him leaving me because I admire him too much. If I try to counter the insecurity NRE, new relationship energy, can be incredibly intoxicating. Often with NRE things are great and lovely. You want to show the other person the very best side of you in ord…

Don't drink in public or alone. Don't do drugs. If you black out in a strange man's bathroom at a house party, things can happen. While I agree that you shouldn't do drugs or get black out drunk I don't think you should say that you shouldn't drink at all. I think that drinking is fine as long as it isn't binge drinking. I would just rephrase this as don't drink excessively. I would also add into it that people should take up hobbies. Typically, hobbies can provide a good social network and can …

I stream video games for a living and must say I heartily agree. I'm a huge MOBA player and main supports/tanks/controllers. It is my job to maintain proper positioning and help my team through using crowd control abilities and sustain. In my relationship I am my SO's source of support. I have the ability to help sustain him by feeding him well, decreasing his levels of stress, and providing help when asked. I have the ability to provide crowd control in making my home a safe zone where he has t…

I’m a low SMV female. I'm physically a 3/10. Because of bad genes, not because I let myself go. You're young and if you're even slightly attractive that gets you more than you think. Youth & fertility & beauty: These features are so damn transient. We lose those no matter what we do. It's frustrating that our SMV depends on things we have almost no control over. You've already mentioned some things you can do that help SMV, but there are more. Wear sunscreen and don't go tanning. It will save yo…

I'm going to speak from personal experience here. I've been with my SO for 6 years. He currently holds a Masters in Engineering from RIT. I, on the other hand, went to college for early childhood education and decided that wasn't what I wanted. I went to Cosmetology school where I didn't finish, because I didn't find it challenging and have proceeded to work on the internet from 12-5pm streaming video games. I am his version of the 50's housewife. I am not the breadwinner. I bring in little mont…

The problem I have is that I've noticed that she needs a lot of male attention. I'd say most of her friends tend to be guys, and she likes to pretend that she does not have a boyfriend. When we were in public together, I noticed that she will flirt with a lot of guys and will not mention her bf, because in her words, "as soon as I mention him, they all stop talking to me." She's in constant contact with a lot of guys, and it's pretty clear to me that they are trying to win her over. She deleted …

I need to work on my language. It's really my biggest weakness. I've become so accustomed to foul language that it doesn't bother me and I don't even think about it. There are very few things on this list that I don't agree with excepting 16 and that is only because of the dating that goes on during the age of the internet. I'm from the South and was raised with strong southern moral and religious values so most of this has been ingrained into me. I would absolutely add complaints into this. I t…

This is usually a warning sign/next for me - if they don't respect me respecting myself, they're not worth my time. I think this is a great way to look at it. You're telling that person that you value your body, but also your reputation. When you have a high value of your body and your reputation people tend to understand that you are looking for commitment. Men can shit test. They have values and qualities that they are searching for. This could be similar. Anyone who pushes the issue is an abs…
