I mean that women face the tropes of "violent objects. Evil objects. Killable objects." in games too, and women characters are often horribly stereotyped, have daddy problems, are literally carried as an item in some games. They are also very under represented in many games universe. I feel like this whole problem in this thread, is us MRA using one example to say that men are the ones victimized. I disagree.

Eh. While this Anna lady is a complete idiot, I think that women are represented much less in games than men. Less frequency, and often when they are, they are objectified quite a bit. Men too, but I think that women are to a greater extent. That being said, some games have done a lot to make women feel more welcome, such as Mass Effect and Fallout: New Vegas. And it irks me a bit that we are bitching about this, when it really doesn't infringe on our rights that much. It's kinda just a tiny bit…

I play field hockey, and man, I get called gay, pussy all the time. It irks me. Because girls really can do any sport and it's normal. People who are trying to tell me that breasts are as equal in sexual nature as a penis are wrong. So please stop. Not really. Breasts ultimately aren't a sexual thing, no more sexual than a chest. We just have sexualized them. And everyone who is saying that they do it to make people attracted etc, damn right they do. Every way we dress is to make people attracted to us. This is further rendered invalid as stomach showing outfits are "slutty" and yet they are not sexual AT ALL. Edit: Spelling

My mother actually. The men she works with are blatantly sexist, and make it very hard for her to excel. She is in the medical field. And that may be true, but they focus on gender equality through promoting the rights of women, because, as they see it, they have many things worse off, which may be true in a few cases. It is our job to promote the rights of men. The equality may benefit them directly, but we are no worse off because of it.

And we have the right to complain, when they do attack us, but we shouldn't stoop to their level, and attack them. Sure, women are essentially equal to us in society, but there are many places where they are not, and even here (Canada) I do know one or two women who do face workplace discrimination because of their sex. That being said, men have issues too. So don't be so daft ;)

No. Feminism was necessary at many points in history, and still is today. I just think that how feminists operate is sometimes wrong. Like, promoting equal rights is great, and I do think women face many issues today. That being said, so do men, and they need to remember that. I think, we, as menright's reddit, need to remember that feminism isn't bad, and really doesn't affect us, as long as we are not targets.
