DadKeep reaching out to those workers. Make sure you are clear on what your dad's medical coverage is. If you are sent a bill, tell the case worker and see if the bill was probably sent to insurance first. Find out what deductible, copays, and other terms of the insurance are. You should not be blowing through your savings. Good luck! Edit: sorry, let me clarify because things get wonky with medical coverage in the US: Before you pay for medical expenses, make sure they should be sent to you in the… | /r/MenSupportMen | 14/07/24 09:05 AM
DadHi, that sounds like a rough situation. Were you given any resources by the hospital like a case worker or social worker to help guide you through the care? Also, while its admirable you are helping your father, dont be afraid to put him in the nursing home or other assisted living community where they will be with trained professionals. Good luck! | /r/MenSupportMen | 14/07/24 07:45 AM

You can cherish the good memories you had with her and express the sadness this breakup has caused, but it's best to move on and not pursue her. She probably helped you grow as a person so now you can look forward to starting a new chapter in your life. | /r/MenSupportMen | 29/06/24 10:07 PM |
Well, that didn’t go great…I see. Well I think you should talk to a male counselor and work with them on the question "Do I want to save my marriage?" If not a male counselor, then some kind of support group. It sounds like you've been doing a lot of personal work this year and that isn't an easy thing to do. That's where the support group and counselling can help. You gotta do the work but they can assist. Going at this type of stuff alone is hard. Getting sober isn't always an easy process especially if you are dealing … | /r/MenSupportMen | 07/06/24 07:32 PM
Well, that didn’t go great…Sorry to hear that. Why are they making you take a drug test? Do you think you will pass it? As for your wife, if she cant accept you are in pain then shes being emotionally abusive. Maybe seek some marriage counseling. | /r/MenSupportMen | 07/06/24 11:54 AM
Wife thinks I’m on drugsTalk to a doctor so you can tell your wife that a medical professional advised you to prioritize sleep. Good luck! | /r/MenSupportMen | 06/06/24 05:38 AM
Wife thinks I’m on drugsTalk to any sleep specialist and they will tell you that you should be aiming for 8 hours of sleep...every single night. Obviously that's not always realistic but getting less the 7-8 and your body starts accumulating sleep debt and that's why you get so tired during the day, especially if you have a physically demanding job. I've ran on 4-5 hours of sleep consistently at times and you dont want to do that, it will start messing with your brain and body in bad ways. You'll age faster and speed u… | /r/MenSupportMen | 06/06/24 02:10 AM
LifeHey man, you are not alone. Things have been hard since the pandemic. A lot of what you shared, I can relate to as it also happened to my father. From his relationship to my mother, separating himself from my family's life, being hurt, being ashamed, trying very hard to reconcile, and then having the medical issue with the stroke and unable to speak/ move his arms very well in the end. I will DM you some more. | /r/MenSupportMen | 05/06/24 01:37 PM
