You give them money: "sorry, no likes here." Someone posted about how they had tinder gold and were getting no likes. within 5 minutes of it running out, they got a "you have likes" notification

A thing I have noticed more and more as time passes, is that a lot of men especially in TRP spaces, view sex as something men do to women, not with. So it's not a double standard in their eyes to judge a woman for doing things with other guys, that he also wants to do. To them, she's not choosing to do those things with those guys: She's "Letting" them do those things to her. It's a perspective rooted in ownership, not connection. It's why you see comparisons to inanimate objects (lock & key) or…

Look, he's not saying that cheating is something women are inherently predisposed to! That's why he keeps digging his heels in and shifting away from the question when asked to confirm he doesn't think women are inherently predisposed to cheating. It's also very funny because... "shitty people rape people" is uh, the case? Men who rape women aren't doing it because they're men, it's because they're rapists. the vast majority of rapists being men is something that we should be examining as a soci…

No, what you said was women will monkey branch to more desirable men And they responded by pointing out that no, shitty people monkey branch regardless of gender. The fact you didn't say the exact works "female only" doesn't mean that the way you word your arguments doesn't carry subtext. You're in a debate sub, you cannot be surprised when people contest your method of making argument.

Fear of your partner cheating on you if she's successful is still fear of her being successful.

You could argue that men would do it just as much it not more than women would it they had equal opportunity. Which would make it a human trait, not a "woman" one. Which was their point...
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 08:36 PM

Difference is men don't deny shitty men exist uhh... yes. plenty of men do. regularly. It's almost like "being shitty" and "covering for shitty people" isn't a gendered trait. It's just a human one.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/25 04:58 PM

Because that's not the same thing at all. Women who don't have any women in their friend group is a potential red flag because they've managed to make every woman they know cut them off as a friend or keep distance. Whereas when guys say "I don't want to date a woman with male friends" what they usually mean is "because i don't trust her not to fuck them" lol

It is, but by and large being gay and effeminate wouldn't be a problem if women didn't "punish" men for it. I mean, I don't think I agree with this take. The bulk of the abuse and harassment guys got for being effeminate back in the 2000s when I was in school, was from other guys. It was present even in all-boys schools. Perceived homosexuality is a cultural stigma, not a gender specific one. We've always just kinda put people who are "different" down. It's all a product of the endless feed of r…

well what should count as expressed sexuality? openly talking about who you want to shag, or going out on the pull and getting props from your mates for it?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 04:39 PM

There are countries where women literally cover their entire bodies because they're told that if they don't, it's their fault when they get assaulted. When the bar for women "expressing their sexuality" is "visible skin", its hardly surprising a lot of women meet it
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 03:49 PM

it’s just that women can control it better either due to fear There definitely is a factor of how society literally pushes the whole "as a guy you don't have value unless you're sleeping around" and "as a woman you lose value if you're sleeping around" ideas. Because people grow up hearing that and internalise it. It's also rough because they're actively contradictory for straight people. Guy have to want sex. Why would you be nice to someone who is mean to you lol Not fucking you isn't "mean" though. If you're being "nice" to try and get in someone's pants, and then call her a slut or a bitch when she rejects you, you were only ever nice on the condition it led to sex (to be clear the "you" here is general. not you)

I have a group of close friends, that I adore all of. But dear god, I would not date any of them, for varying reasons. I would strangle him to death within a month lmao One of them is gorgeous, but the most emotionally unavailable person I've ever met lmao. I think this is part of their issue tbh. A lot of posts I see here, have really distorted ideas about how life is for the opposite sex. And so their entire logic is based on that lack of understanding

This is actually something that took a lot of getting used to for me. I'm not ugly, but im not notably good looking or anything like that. So I kept struggling to reconcile how friends and people I knew would tell me I looked good or compliment me and my outfits/hair/etc., with how invisible I was to people, especially romantically. And it came down to that while I may not have been unattractive, I was never the most attractive person in the room, and so if someone's eyes were wondering it was v…

That’s great. I didn’t say “you”. I said a lot of men. There’s a reason “she’s a slut” is such a common putdown directed at women, whether true or not. The idea that she’s easy, is pretty universally acknowledged as a derogatory thing

institution of family is nearly destroyed, and women almost stopped having children. Is this because women have more rights? Or is it because wealth and resources have been siphoned into an ever smaller group of elites, and people can't afford to settle down and have families?

Oh yeah that part also cracks me up. the whole reason i found this sub was the "Marriage material vs hookup material" thing, and the amount of guys who seemed to think that if a woman wants to marry you, she no longer wants to have sex baffled me, because she was talking To her boyfriend. who she has sex with

Not really. You're trying to make a statement about 100s of millions of people, based on a sample size of 7 The OP showed us 7 good results. They didn't show us how many that was out of. They said that they didn't encounter anything, but I could just as easily grab my 4 worst convos on bumble and ignore the 2 decent ones that happened during the same period, and say "see, it's awful"
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/24 02:51 PM

He sees marriage as a transaction that guys lose on, because like a number of rp guys here he fixated on the traditional dynamic where the man financially supports the family, ignoring not only how that isn’t really a thing any more, but also how the woman did plenty of work on her end of things,m

What’s funny to me is I see the “hoe phase” stuff being described as something people do from like 18-29, then they hit “the wall” and start wanting to settle down and make a guy provide for them But like… I spent 18-22 in a committed relationship, 23-26 trying to find that again when it didn’t work out, and only really started sleeping around (infrequently) as i approached 30, because I was more confident in myself and who I was, but also because I’m no longer rly looking for a long term relati…

I mean trans ppl do complain about the shitshow that is dating while trans. They just mostly do it to other trans ppl who will get it It’s uniquely weird, trying to navigate the safe area between “will call you slurs / attack you if you tell them”, and “will fetishise you”, because if you say up front, some people swipe specifically to harass you / to fulfill a fetish they have. But if you don’t, some people freak the fuck out when you tell them because you “lied”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/24 01:13 AM

Oh you mean “doesn’t work well as a response”, what with it not rly being the point of the question / being such an outlier scenario? That’s so fair, my b for misunderstanding :) Ty for the chill clarification, much preferred to the edgy lil fella below lol
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/24 01:06 AM

You seem like a pleasant person. What's the joke here, that its funny because a group of people that is harassed and targeted constantly for existing, has a high suicide rate? Interesting how people who bring up the 40% thing never talk about how it drops off massively for people in supportive communities, or with access to treatment, etc. It's also about lifetime attempts, not how many people actually do it. So yeah, incredibly weird to try and use people's deaths as a gotcha to an argument it …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/24 12:56 AM

The regret rate is somewhere betweeen 0.1 and 0.5%, not accounting for people who regret it due to outside factors like harassment/abuse etc. The regret rate for laser eye surgery is 10 times the regret rate for gender affirming care of any kind. People are 17 times more likely to regret having children The guy in that video is sad about how he's treated as a guy, but not because he transitioned. It's not transition he regrets, its the mistreatment. sources on the regret rate being <1%: #1 #2

I don't ever really expect that on reddit, let alone this sub with its constant weird hostility. Point me to where I said "men shouldn't enjoy sex". I'm literally talking about something that causes sex to be less pleasurable for you. You're right, overusing a vibrator can also be bad for you for similar reasons. Nowhere did I say it wasn't, you just jumped to assuming I'm a hypocrite. men need to perform a sufficient dick and make her feel good etc. It's so weird that "sex should feel good for both parties" is asking too much in your eyes lmao

Yeahhh. It's definitely a factor. If i'm chatting to someone and they go "Oh yeah, I'm super into Factorio and Cities Skylines", my first thought isn't misogyny. If you finish work at 5pm, and you have no commute (WFH being a thing now), assuming 1h for dinner, shower, teteh, etc. and that's speedrunning those things... that means staying up till 2am. But also, "No friends" sounds like gaming is coming at the expense of your life outside of it. And I don't mean that to say "no friends? skill issue". I know how rough the loneliness epidemic is and im sorry youre in that situation. But 8h at home gaming isnt putting you in situations to change it, ya know?…

There are people that consider 1h a night as excessive gaming. And that goes for people who haven't neglected any responsibilities and have done anything and everything that needs to be done. There are fringe people who think anything other than being completely teetotal is "excessive drinking", but if i said i left my ex because he "drank excessively" you're going to understand I probably mean "getting day drunk regularly". And brought up the whole "It's just trash talk thing" as though bigoted trash talk isnt still bigotry lol The issue of misogynistic abuse is specific to women, yes. Right? There's a bunch of chains in this sub that devolve into "women don't have hobbies, all they do is scroll social media and be vapid" this is why they can't get a GF, not the gaming. It's the rancid vibes coming off their attitude lmao

I don't consider gaming a turn off. But if someone tells me they're a gamer, its a mild red flag nowadays because of how openly misogynistic and hostile a lot of guys in gaming spaces can be. No, the issue isn't men masturbating frequently. Death Grip isn't about frequency. It's about how guys often use too much grip when jerking off, and numb their ability to get off without that level of grip/tightness, making sex less pleasurable

I mean, it's pretty infamous at this point how toxic online games are for women. When I say it's funny, I don't mean it's bad. I think it's kinda cute. It's just amusing because we've been so conditioned as a society to, when someone at the bar suggests a drink, assume they mean they'll get you one. So someone subverting that by just getting their own drink, is funny to me

I just really like the "(Therefore feminism bad)" bits in their excerpt. It has the vibe of a 4th wall break, like a misogynist Deadpool. It completely ignores the third, much simpler and logical explanation: A lot of shitty guys don't reveal that they're shitty till you're already dating them.

that particular guy has a lot of self esteem issues (and from our interactions it sounds like life has given him reason to, so I can only fault him so much, shit sucks sometimes), so his perception of stuff is that only rich attractive guys get laid No amount of engagement seems to shift that, but good luck
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/24 08:57 AM

It’s also missing the point. Rather than addressing the root issue (your partner isn’t aroused) by say, taking steps to fix that (engaging with what turns her on to get her in the mood), just tell her to let you stick your cock down her throat. The lack of erogenous zones in the throat heightens the experience for her That’ll really improve your love life, joyless head from someone who isn’t in the mood for sex. Edit: I just realised this guy is literally asking for the Breaking Bad handjob

I actually said "you should consider the context and behave appropriately" For example, if it's the cute barista at starbucks, don't ask her out while she's stuck behind the counter, because she has no way out of the situation if she isn't comfortable, since she's stuck at work for however much longer

Also, a lot of those women work for someone. They get less than half the money they make, in exchange for the "protection" that comes from working for them. (read: if someone tries to avoid paying, or does something to make you less valuable and tarnish their income, not actually protecting you) We've hit advanced redpill in this sub lately. 6 figures is minimum This just isn't true. The vast majority of people don't earn 6 figures, and yet plenty of people who aren't traditionally attractive have girlfriends. You've decided that you're not going to succeed, and are using that as an excuse to not try. As long as you blame 100% of your difficulty dating on women, you're saying that 0% of it is in your power to change

TBF I think where I'm struggling here is, I must have missed the council meeting when we decided to, as a monolith, ban men from approaching us. Women don't all think the same. Some are fine with being approached, others aren't. So if you don't know someone, the safer option is to leave it be. But respecting that a lot of women don't want to be randomly approached, isn't "handing your balls on a platter"

A woman getting an abortion is contingent on her having access to an abortion. That costs money, which a lot of sex workers don't have to spare, that's why they're doing sex work. "I don't want a child" is a perfectly valid reason for an abortion. But we're not talking about that. We're talking about you consciously choosing to do something that could get someone pregnant. It's not reading comprehension. I'm fully aware that you're saying women collectively. And I'm saying assuming that 50% of the population don't mean what they say is going to lead to more negative results than positive. If you approach a woman and she shoots you down, take the no. If she was playing games, that's her loss. If she wasn't, you don't come off like a creeper Why would you want a partner who can't communicate in such a basic way
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 06:03 PM

I feel like dating apps have ruined people's perception of what dating is meant to be like. Here's the problem with your logic. You're asking people to prove a negative. Examples of people getting a partner, despite red flags, does not mean that nobody has been rejected for their personality. Your examples are also really weird. No? The nice guy trope refers to a guy who is only nice to get with you, and then the minute he realises you're not interested, becomes hostile and aggro. The "fuck you, i was never into you anyway, bitch" types. "Nice Guys" are different from guys who are nice, in that the former has to keep telling you how nice he is.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 05:31 PM

TBF "Hurt" is usually due to a lack of prep / being too tense. Which can be a lack of practice, or just not being in the right headspace to relax enough. But yeah, YMMV depending on the person, but there's definitely some level of pleasure

TBF, Men on PPD love to speak for women too, so at least it's consistent
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 05:27 PM

Also, I think a big factor is that people are comparing piv to anal as like, "that act and nothing else" Anal for a woman can also mean a toy (vibe, dildo, etc) in the vagina, so it's basically a 2-for-1 deal at that point People who think there's nothing for women to get out of anal, are uncreative

The issue is that men are raised to feel like expressing empathy is weak, and women are raised to feel like its an obligation. Women are cautious around men they don't know, because of the consequences of if that particular guy is one of said maniacs. Pretty much. Though people act like looks being such a big part of getting dates represents a shallowness on the part of people dating. But in practice, its because dating apps are so shallow. Most of what you have to go off is appearance. Especially with guys, so many have barebones profiles. So it conditions you to initially approach for shallow reasons, which you then have to overcome. It's why Tinder so often ends up leading to one-time hookups for people instead of relationshisp

My argument is based on taking what was said at face value. She could have said that he is more than just a hookup, but she made it either/or. Either a hookup or a husband, yes. Not "someone I have sex with" or "someone I marry". You and several other guys here are seemingly refusing to acknowledge the casual part of "casual sex". Do you think that when people start dating they stop having sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/24 02:57 PM

But why are you seeing it as "getting thrown" sex. This is what I don't get. Do you think women value you solely for either your body, or what you can provide? Do you not think you have worth outside of that? I don't mean that as a dig, so sorry if it comes off that way, tone is really hard in text. What I mean is that there is more to you than just the physical. And if someone only wants you for shallow/vapid reasons, you deserve better. Yes, there's women who hate their husbands. There's also …

Well she does, but not with him. Based on what? She didn't say anything about other guys. That is purely extrapolation. "You're not the type of person I would have casual sex with, but I'd be in a relationship with you" The kinda person I want to date (and have sex with in said relationship) is very much not the kinda person I want to have casual sex with. She didn't see him as a hookup. That doesn't mean she wouldn't have sex with him. They're dating, they WERE having sex lol. To women, a "hookup" is a casual thing, no emotional attachment. She was saying she doesn't want empty sex, she wants an actual relationship. The only reason for your takeaway to be "she isn't into him sexually" is if you think that being married and getting laid are mutually exclusive. And if that's the case with someone... don't marry them?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/24 01:41 PM

She may have truly meant it as a compliment, because, to her, communicating that she wants to relegate him to a provider role is a positive thing. In my experience from the other side, the jerk isn't a jerk at the outset. That's the thing I think a lot of "decent guys" miss. My best friend's ex is awful. But he wasn't awful when they got together. he played the part of a lovely guy, to get her. And once he had her, was when he let the mask slip. then romance movies and books are porn for woman that can cause all the same problems in a relationship that men watching porn can cause. And I think this is true tbh. I didn't say he's not allowed to feel stung. I said that the response should be to communicate, not to throw a tantrum. Ok in the moment he was drunk and got emotional, still kinda immature but alcohol can do that. But he was still being weird about it in the morning.

because we understand that is the reality for a sad number of marriages. But assuming that about your partner seems like a really cynical outlook towards someone you, 5 seconds ago before she said it, you thought loved you. Even if you have that concern, the guy in that post freaked out and didnt want to talk to her for over a day. Why not just go "do you not find me physically attractive any more?" and she goes "what? why would you say that, i just said I could see myself marrying you" and you …

it means she values you only for what you can provide, Isn't that an assumption, though? You're operating on the logic that women only see a stable future with guys they're not passionate about, which seems like a really cynical way to live. When I say "hookup material" I mean "hot, but not someone I have any serious interest in". When I say "husband/wife material", I mean "not only am i attracted to you, i could see us building a future"

Doesn't that go both ways though? If its a situation where women mean something different to your immediate reaction to it, you're also being indifferent to her intent.

No. That is not how we fix these things. Something awful happening to her isn't "karma" or "justice". And it won't suddenly change her mind, just reinforce her "we're the victim" complex. Honestly that comment comes across really sketch, dude.

OK, I knew the SJWs, White Knights, and Feminists that lurk this sub would get bent out of shape You know those terms don't actually mean "people who disagree with me", right?

You say you will not hesitate to state facts, yet you make statements that medical professionals disagree with, and therefore would logically be considered not factual. Incorrect. If you have a healthy and functioning male body then chances are you have a mental illness. Yes. It's called Gender Identity Disorder. It's recognised by psychologists as an actual thing. The reason trans people see a therapist, it's to confirm whether they actually have GID, not to "fix" them, right? The point isn't t…

I totally get you. I can be way too blunt. But sometimes you have to tread carefully to avoid coming across differently to what you mean :P

Before I address this comment, I was hoping to reply to one of your other comments but it makes more sense to me to put everything into one so you don't have a bajillion messages :P A child should be sheltered to some extent until they're capable of handling larger problems. Sexuality and gender assignment shouldn't come up at 8 years old. Let the boys play with dolls if they choose and the girls play baseball but don't push it on them. I actually personally agree with this. I've spent the last …

You are still not a woman any more than he is Peter Pan or the other characters he dresses up as. He changes his appearance and that is all. The only difference between a post-op trans person and someone who was born that gender is that the trans person is sterile. Which is actually something people are still trying to find workarounds for. The implanted hormones are not a natural part of you. Except they are. The only difference is how much of those hormones your body generates naturally. The h…

As someone on a computer science program, you'd be amazed how many of the Asian students don't put any effort into work. We had two of them in a group project, they didn't assist with a single session. They sat on the row next to the rest of us and chatted while on their phones. Even if we tried to involve them they didn't do what they were asked to.

the vast majority of pedophiles are wrong Based on convictions. And we've seen countless evidence for how hard it is for women to get convicted.

Well considering they called an MtF transsexual anti-women, they're clearly not the brightest spark. They just go into full tumblr mode, so nobody takes them seriously

Nobody takes her seriously. The feminism society couldn't even get The Sun banned on campus. They wanted to ban it because of page 3, and the uni just went "If people want to read it, they can. It's called free speech. If you don't like Page 3, don't read that paper."

Regardless, I think we should stop looking at it from the perspective of men's issues and women's issues. Man or woman, you're a person. So let's look at it that way.

What I find odd, is that people seem to not only hanging more labels on each other, but more specific labels. Like, apparently Black feminism is a thing? I thought we'd moved on from race-specific stuff. -_- I don't understand what's so hard about just being a human. Why is anything else important?

Tell me about it. The president of the feminism society at my university is completely anti-men. My flatmate passed her one time, not knowing who she was, and because he's a friendly guy smiled and said hi. She went "don't talk to me you pig" and sped up. I wish that was fake but it's not. It is hilarious, though. The only feminists I've ever met who were actually for equality always called themselves egalitarians.

I was on my iPod and couldn't read the article so went off what his explanation at the start was. If they were laid off because the company went bankrupt then fair enough. I thought the people in charge of the film had just fired them instead of paying them. So like, terminated the contract as soon as they finished the work.

No, but if they give you a job, they shouldn't be allowed to sack you without paying after you do the work, since you were promised that pay. That's why you did the work.

Yeah, "like a brother to me" tends to be a reason why they're IN the friendzone, not past it.
