Ah, so you'll turn your back on them early just to not deal with the guilt of seeming like you used them for personal gain... ignoring it's a gain they would also benefit from. Or maybe that's the issue, maybe you don't want trans men to gain anything if it's related to something you did and you think it's worth sacrificing all the hard work other men and women have done trying to get this movement mainstream. That's not integrity, that's cowardice. How's that for a guilt trip.

Letting them fight alongside you for their sons/future sons despite your disagreements with them isn't giving up on your integrity, it proves you have it.

I'm leaning towards the plant thing. People who want solutions to very real problems would be looking for more ways to achieve those solutions... a lot of these folks are just hurting the movement by putting limits on who can join it.

They can still have sons that they want to protect from all of that.

No.. but also anyone can join. C'mon, man... The circumcision thing is a ridiculous standard to have but a lot of trans men still end up having children... so their sons/future sons are definitely affected by all of that; Divorce court, custody, social norms, etc. Is that not enough?

Then we have no real problems that need immediate addressing, otherwise we wouldn't care who came to help achieve solutions. Instead of being focused on fixing serious problems, we're more focused on waiting for help and checking the credentials of whoever comes to help us and that's going to get us nowhere. Wake up, man. They're not going to suddenly make us demand free hormone therapy if they're coming here and advocating for solutions to the same issues we are. Those are people we end up driv…

This is still a men's rights movement if we passively allow or even actively support trans men wanting to associate with men's rights. That doesn't mean agreeing with/fighting for EVERYTHING trans men want. If this movement is about fighting for solutions to very real problems then what does it say about us if we start being picky amongst the very few possible allies we could have?

I think my Dad told me he was proud of me when I played my last HS football game. Don't think he has said it since. I remember crying like a baby when my best friend's parents told me they were proud of me at my graduation and it messed me up for awhile. Those are the only two instances I remember.

We should aim to reclaim woke for ourselves because real wokeness means joining with unlikely allies when it would help us achieve a common goal like men's rights. Discrimination is exactly that and the ones who do it to men usually don't ask "Are you a trans man"? before they discriminate against men. Trans men who pass as male most of the time usually end up just being treated the same way we do.

Exactly. Politics these days is about finding unlikely allies who face the same issue. Not every issue they face is relatable but on the ones they do relate with is where we can make gains.

If trans issues are more prominent, then wouldn't men's issues only gain prominence by becoming synonymous with the issues of trans men? In other words, if saying "women abuse the courts to hurt men." gets 0 reaction then why would saying "women abuse the courts to hurt men, including trans men." somehow be a bad idea? I know we can't empathize with every issue, maybe even most, but on the ones we do experience as a group, why is that not the primary focus if we're trying to make real change hap…

They're using this narrative to justify their own hatred of men and the women who defend them. Push men into the hateful category long enough and it's becomes the easier path in life. Then guys like Thorn will start acting like they were right the whole time. It's truly pathetic.

In 1955, Carolyn Bryant Donham accused Emmett Till, a 14-year old boy, of assaulting her and got her husband and his brother to kidnap, beat, torture and then shoot the boy before tossing his body into a river. Both men were put on trial, were acquitted and Carolyn Brant didn't admit it was a lie until 2007. Despite all of that, she never saw a single day in jail. In fact, Mississippi courts refused to prosecute her as recently as 2020. She lived to be 88 and died a free woman just a few months …

That last sentence is exactly what bugs me about this conversation. If we're going to be picky over which allies we can have, barring clear malice, then we don't have any real problems. People with real problems don't care about who helps them tackle it, they're busy being focused on a common goal.

Some laws that affect us negatively probably also affect them negatively.

I don't say 'yes' as a matter of politics, either. I say it because our children's children might live in a world where transitioning is common, for whatever reason. It might even become completely seamless and just require a single pill or stepping into a chamber then bam, you're biologically a male/female with a new set of genitals, changed chromosomes and all.

Sure they can! They just claim MGTOW is sexist for not wanting anything to do with them romantically. Once you go back, you get to be called a creep again.

This is very interesting. I think individual posters need to be charged as well I'm just not sure how legal teams would go about it. It's really not enough to charge the creator, someone else will take the mantel. Justice needs to be served at a large scale for it to stop and that includes the creator, posters and commenters.

Plenty of women are a part of that 1% now, proving the opportunities are there for women in ways they definitely weren't way back when. The patriarchy used to mean the entire ladder from top to bottom, back when men made up the workforce but there isn't any defined end-goal for those types who misuse it so that word is used to get women what they want as a collective which is why sometimes you'll hear some absolute nonsense problem, or something that even a lot of guys go through, being blamed o…

Some people project their own insecurities onto others regularly and can't even fathom the idea that they are talking to someone who is more secure than themselves.

You forgot to add that women are the perfect gender incapable of doing any harm to anything or anyone. /s I wish my people warned be about the cruelty and hatred certain women harbor for others.

Nowhere in my post did I say women don't have problems, but this sentiment makes it sound like our problems aren't yours and kind of proves my point about not being on anyone's radar. I've championed women's issues as my own before and done the mental work required to see that certain problems for women are my problem too, but women refuse to do the same for men and that's ridiculous. This us vs them mentality is a huge part of the problem. maybe its better that women arent in the draft, i don…

This generation of men are the most progressive men have ever been and yet we've been treated as even more expendable as punishment. Women aren't required to sign up for the draft when they want to vote like men are. There are actual studies on how women get treated better in family court just because they're women. Men make up like 80% of suicides in the US and none of this is on anybody's radar outside of focus groups like this. So no, the disrespect is the icing on the shit cake but it's not …

Apart from what has been said, take pictures of any injuries (especially bruises, cuff marks on you or even look for scratches on whatever you were tied to). Make copies of the surveillance footage for when she showed up and left and establish that timeline of events for yourself. She will inevitably do this again to someone else and get jammed. Personally, I would want to know what damage she caused to the jewels in case you need to sue once she gets taken down. None of this at ANY step was you…

You lose all credibility with boys the minute you say "bromance" but once you start calling them tools just because you had no friends growing up and have to use fantasy novels as a reference to what real friends are, you become a bit sad to me.

I don't consider myself conservative but if I told someone "I'm an MRA" they might assume I'm conservative off that statement alone. It's a way of categorizing my viewpoint as "unhealthy". I love women enough to tell them when they are wrong even when it's the least popular thing to do. Being labeled a conservative in that instance is not only wishful thinking on their part, it is them openly hoping the problem is me and not them.

Document absolutely everything and talk to a lawyer. Make her pay you for any damages that come from this ONCE THEY COME that is the important part. Document that too, record it, write about it in a journal, everything.
