Can’t disagree with this, Op.

You’re right, and the whole notion of ‘equality’ needs to be reworked. The Feminist Revolution was right and necessary, but it became its own pendulum swing....I think to a large extent it was a White, educated Feminist Revolution. We really need to revisit this, and make it fair for everyone.

See "campaigns to end violence against women." Call me crazy, but I'd prefer to end violence, full stop. The unspoken message is, violence against men, is expected, or accepted.

Just the way of the world, unfortunately. Similar rules in schools, etc. Would you prefer they ignored it, and exposed people to potential litigation? I'm not sure what the rules in daycare typically are, but any male working with children has to be extra careful.

I went to HS in NZ after emigrating from Canada. The shorts rule was humiliating.

She did do that on the job; she's teaching. I would have thought that would have had some repercussions.

I thought this was creepy, weird and contrived.

You can't reverse the genders and have that come out right. It's being seen as different.

Yes, but it was heard in Quebec, I assume. It was an unbelievably stupid thing for her to do, but I'm not comfortable with her getting a serial-killer level sentence.

She stopped in the LEFT LANE in a left hand drive country. She didn't pull over to the right, as she should have in an emergency - not that this instance constituted an emergency in official eyes. In essence, he stopped in the middle of the road. I agree the sentence is bizarre and harsh, considering what people who commit intentional violent crimes usually get, but hey, it's Quebec.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
