Or you can just divorce. Nobody is asking you to date men who don't pull their own weight.

This post screams comphet. Nobody is asking you to date men that add nothing to your life. You can date women and use vibrators all you want my friend, we are in the 20th century.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 06:09 AM

Misogyny is a spectrum so unless you're actually trying to equate men with slight resentment from their own dating experiences to men that actually rape, abuse, and murder women, it isn't helpful or fair to say that they deserve their outcomes. Many men can struggle in dating from some combination of shyness, bad timing, mental health, poor looks, high inhibition, neurodivergence, or even just being in the wrong environment. If women are not a monolith, then there cannot be a single universal tr…

Your perspective is that lust= desire for the person. That lust in of itself is validating. I never said this. I said desire from someone you want is validating, not that women should accept any form of lust or sexual attention as validation. it also doesn’t matter how good the sex is I can lust after you and it won’t mean a fuck thing (again if the relationship is going to shit) True but that does not show that desire is worthless. This only shows that context can destroy the value of desire, n…

an offer of sex can also be meaningless in a relationship at any point in time; why do you think duty sex is a thing? Duty sex is sex without genuine desire. The concept of duty sex can only exist if desire is meaningful. You do not name the absense of something if it does not matter. If the relationship is going to shit I won’t feel loved and “validated” just because you want to stick your dick in me. That is my entire argument. Sex with desire is validating, sex without desire is not. There's …

Male sexual attention is cheap, abundant and pervasive. Sure, random sexual interest from men is abundant and cheap just as a random job offer is cheap. But an offer from a company you want to work for is validating. Validation comes from who is offering and why. You admit it yourselves that you’ll fuck anything it’s only a bonus if she’s not fat. What on earth is there to be validated by lol I never said this, debate my argument and not a caricature of men you've created in your head or this wi…

Wait. If we accept these two claims that you've made and assume they're true: Plenty of men adore their partners, find them attractive, and would never cheat BUT women do not particularly value a man wanting to have sex with them and do not recieve meaningful sexual validation from men. That is a damning portrayal of women honestly. If both claims hold true, my takeaway is that men can love and desire deeply (without requiring absolute attraction) but women do not accept it as meaningful. If wom…

My mere existence only proves that my father impregnated my mother, nothing else. Reproduction does not prove that a man's genes are desirable or competitive in this current dating scene where women finally have agency and choice to decide who to reproduce with.

I've seen men of all races and heights pull massive amounts of pussy. Anecdotal evidence is not an argument and exceptions do not prove the rule. This is just survivorship bias, you see the men that succeed and fail to account for the men that don't. I'm somewhat neurodivergent myself and that hasn't stopped me. Neurodivergence is a spectrum. There is a difference between high functioning autism and autistic men with sensory issues and social defects. I just have to accept that I have to put a m…

You take an absolute eg. women are what they are, debating won't change them and then tell men to do the work. That is an oxymoron. If women are what they are then self-improvement just becomes false hope. I agree that you cannot negotiate attraction and that women like what they like, but it's mostly dependent on genetic capability. these solutions you suggest, adjacent to TRP, were originally designed for AFCs, average frustrated chumps. All of the solutions you suggest do not work if you're b…

If something is immoral, it doesn't become moral just bc someone really wants to do it. Sure but that only works if age gaps are inherently immoral, which is the entire point of the discussion. Unless you can explain why age gap relationships are objectively immoral, your statement becomes null. "Don't sell drugs to someone when they're pregnant," Selling drugs to a pregnant woman is immoral because a fetus cannot consent to the effects drugs have on it. There is also medical and legal consensus…

Out of all the takes ive seen on this sub, the "women arent homophobic" take is the most baffling one I've seen. Women are not a monolith unless it applies to a positive trait I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 04:04 PM

I agree in the abstract that self-reflection is important. I disagree with the underlying notion of the existance of "healthy masculinity". As women are not monolithic, there is no universal framework for what positive traits count as. What counts as passion for one is controlling for another. A man, or person in general, that is left with a bunch of conflicting opinions will eventually ignore everyone and look for their own answers. I also think the examples you gave today are largely outdated …

the mortgage on a 450k house is about 2700 per month. a family making 80k will have trouble affording that thus 80k You're assuming that families cannot rent, move to a different location and commute in, or overall make tradeoffs. In reality, the families that want to have kids will make it work. You're treating motherhood as a reluctant burden that must be met under a hyperspecific set of obligations. 100k is not some universal prerequisite, you essentially say "Families should own a 450k house…

its simultaneously true that most people don't make 100k and that 100k is barely enough for a middle class life. You still have not defined middle class and until you do so, the claim is meaningless. Where is 100K barely enough for a middle class life? If your household income is 80 you will not own a house. pretty much anywhere in the us. This is objectively false unless you are only talking about cities and HCOL areas. Also, you don't even need to own a house to have kids but let's grant it be…

It's much worse than 80/20, it's about 99/1 amongst men ages 21-30 and that's being very generous. Assuming she's a white woman looking to date a white man between the ages of 21-30 that makes over 100k here are some numbers to get an idea. You could remove race and swap it for height or change the amount of men that the woman finds physically attractive, the numbers are still pretty low. Base population Men age 21–30 in the US: 22,600,000 ⸻ Income filter Assume “top 20% of earners” (generous fo…

Q4A: Do you guys believe that women are choosing to stay single and hold out for the perfect man? I guess we would have to define single first so I guess I'll define it as not in a committed romantic relationship. The reason I ask is because the common sentiment on this sub is that women are just holding out for the perfect man / dynamic but more women than men are in relationships at every age group, espesially in this era of no fault divorce. The only disproportionately single group is Gen Z m…

Using 100K a year salary as the baseline for financial stability is very misleading. What the number actually signals to me is a proxy for a highly desirable man. Less than 20% of men make over 100K a year, filtered by age, race, location, political views, occupation (white-collar vs blue-collar), and overall compatibility the dating pool gets even smaller. The median household income is around 80k in the United States. The majority of families in the United States are raising kids without makin…

Nah, I think he just needs to believe in gender equality at some level. Gender equality is the biggest killer of desperation. The argument eventually becomes "Why would I overinvest in a woman that makes less money than me, has lower status than me, destabilizes my life, and needs pounds of makeup to match my looks?"

I don't really have an answer but i'd like you to elaborate on this specific section: Women want to be approached.. What is the source on this? because if we go based on what women on this subreddit say, they get too much male attention and don't want to be approached because it's all low interest / men only care about sex. Just read some of the comments on the post i've linked for reference

Sorry I forgot to elaborate, there's two real anchors that I find important if I was to get married. First I would want to be the one to propose, I want to show intent and choose something because I truly want to enter that stage of life. The next is that I would want my wife to take my last name and a potential child to have the same initials as me, as it's been passed down in my family for generations. Outside of those things though I'm very flexible and will give ground on everything else.

Yeah I would find it pretty weird if my girlfriend proposed to me. People pick and choose when tradition suits them all the time it's just proposals and last names are non-negotiable for me specifically.

Singapore has a collectivist culture that errs on empathy tbh. So population doesn't actually cause crime. You made my argument for me. People trust the infrastructure which leads to lower amounts of crime. How do you develop a collectivist system with a framework that essentially says everyone is free to do whatever they want, people can live as hedonistic as possible, and that nobody owes anyone anything? because that's essentially modern day liberalism. which isn't bad, it's just not collecti…

I didn't ask whether cities thrive economically, I asked whether they thrived at a societal level. Those are not the same. To clarify, I'll provide the topics used by the OCED to create the the better life index as a reference just incase. Housing: housing conditions and spendings (e.g. real estate pricing) Income: household income (after taxes and transfers) and net financial wealth Jobs: earnings, job security and unemployment Community: quality of social support network Education: education a…

those on the left are known to be more open to helping others than those on the right. Unless you define what help means and who is getting help, the claim is unfalsifiable. But let's grant it anyway because semantics are irrelevant to my next claim. If liberalism is more collective and more open to help, we would see highly liberal cities such as New York City and Los Angeles thrive societally, but it's the complete opposite. Everything is hyperindividualistic, fast paced, "mine, mine, mine", r…

But liberalism is not collectivist at all. At the very core of liberalism, it states that you're free to do whatever you want. You're free to change your gender, free to get an abortion, free to go 50/50 or have the man pay for your dates, free to have whatever standard you want, free to leave a marriage on a whim if you're unhappy. Which is fine but it aligns much more with the "mine, mine, mine" hedonistic rhetoric than conservatism. Conservatism actually enforces some sort of structure, espec…

Courting is an awful strategy. The women of today are not the women of the past. Why recommend strategies that worked in a time where women couldn't make their own money and needed a man for financial stability and societal acceptance? The modern landscape is so much different than in the past. As a man you're not only competing with her willingness to be single, you're competing with an ex, her social media algorithm, her friends partners, her travel flings and hookups, as well as her hinge / t…

I agree with you actually, men need to start wearing hair systems, shoe lifts, and shapewear, in addition to makeup and grooming. Men don't put in effort but still end up with their looksmatch and assortive mating is the norm allegedly, weird. Beauty standards for women are massively subsidized by male underengagement.

Yeah absolutely. Some believe that being a SAHM ties a woman's survival to a man and that it makes her severely vulnerable in abuse, divorce, or widowhood. But radfem vs libfem is not this black and white binary I've painted it out to be. The fault line of feminism is basically how far should women's autonomy go? Women having freedom of choice to date who they want is a great thing for women's liberation but if they choose someone older or more powerful? god forbid.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/26 10:04 PM

Radical Feminists don't believe in gender equality, atleast not the liberal / mainstream version of it. Gender equality is usually defined as freedom of choice and opportunity, but radfems argue that a choice can be made and still contribute to the oppression and commodification of women.

No to all of these. Gen Z men are the only generation of men that are dating in a time where women don't need men financially, there's a diminishing social stigma for being single, and you don't need to be married for protection or whatever. Since attraction is no longer overridden by necessity and survival, the majority of Gen Z men are single.

Yes, the burden of excellency is on men. A byproduct of male hyperagency. To be considered cringe there needs to be an expectation of performance. A man being cringe is a violation of male competence, he's supposed to produce value for society and have it figured out already.

I think you're overplaying your hand with the title of your post. You danced with women and got a few numbers on one of the lowest inhibition nights in the year. We don't even know if the numbers you got turned into dates or anything (I get it's too early to tell) but the environment matters much more than kindness or what you did specifically. New Years Eve is almost a societal writeoff, poor decisions are rewritten as fun stories and people go into NYE thinking that tomorrow doesn't matter. I'…

People will struggle with anything that removes men from their status of hyperagency. Men make things happen, things should not happen to men. In addition, people cannot engage with the issues that men face without hearing it as an attack or a threat. Once you realise these things everything makes sense.

My question is what tangible benefit is there to prioritizing those traits? A woman's career doesn't decrease a man's financial burden and doesn't reliably signal reciprocity or long-term investment. Actually it does the opposite, it raises standards while lowering commitment and effort. Men that are not highly attractive (which is the majority) understand that in a globalized dating market they're always replaceable and a woman can realistically find another option in 30 minutes on Tinder. Dati…

Your post conflates multiple contradictory causes at once. Male loneliness is primarly due to men having no friends and self-isolating. Women have more friends, deeper social networks, and report similar rates of loneliness. That alone falsifies your claim. Getting a girlfriend is really not going to help much if you have no other friends. Romantic companionship is different from platonic companionship. Claiming that plantonic intimacy can reduce loneliness while romantic intimacy cannot without…
