Exactly why i ditched girls my age or younger when I was in my 20s. Once I started to aim for women 30+, not only did I pull more waaay more, the sex was a 1000x better. Plus they could hold a decent conversation and were fun to just hang out with afterwards.

Didn’t have their shit together. Alcoholic/drug issues. ”I don’t know what I want to do with my life!” Can’t sustain a normal relationship without cheating, or sabotaging the relationship, or constantly causing unnecessary drama. Sexual abuse issues, that are way above anyone who isn’t a therapist’s pay grade (not belittling the abuse, but the help they need is beyond a partner’s ability). Cynical views on sexual relationships i.e., “what can i get from this person” ALWAYS making bad decisions. …

”Dated” a few. Every single one I met outside the context of a strip club. 2 were fellow students/friends at art school, and another had a 2nd gig as a bartender (who I later discovered had also done porn as well). I’ve also been friends with several others, same scenario; not at a strip club. FYI sadly every single one was ”damaged” in some respect. You can be friends with them, or sleep with them, but avoid dating them. You cannot fix them.

Attention. You don't have to sleep with them, or even go on a date (in fact, don't.). They just want to feel that they still have some sexual appeal, and that they are still interesting and relevant as people. A lot of married men stop appreciating, and nurturing their wives, which leaves the door open to loneliness, and questions of self worth. Along comes you, that takes an interest in her, however minor, and that helps her feel validated. Personally I love to chat, and even flirt a little wit…

Yes. Former cougar chaser here. In my early early 20s after chasing other 20 somethings with little to no results, a switch flipped in my head and I became attracted to older women (5 to 18 years older). Using the same game with the older ladies, it was like fishing in a well stocked fishing pond. I could pull whenever I wanted to. The other pros were great as well: They were smarter/less vacuous, thus easier and much more fun to talk to. They knew what they were doing in bed and were enthusiast…

Gotta 2nd this. I listened to/read all the usual suspects. Manson’s book was the last one I needed to read.

Just going to concur: most of the women in fencing are badasses. It weeds out the quitters and the poseurs pretty fast. All the women at my club are pretty well rounded, interesting people.

Also the basis for Models by Mark Manson. Best guide out there IMO, and applies great in other situations besides dating; like work, making friends, being social etc.

Got the same issue, I use a "1", it takes a little bit of the crazy bald jarring effect down a notch. I let it grow to about a 1/2" before I shave it again. If you can grow a good 6-7 o'clock shadow, it helps A LOT. Also upping your style game helps considerably.

Oh totally. Girls don’t ever go for shit like that. Just thought I’d post it for fun. BTW I still have a hard time picturing how Mystery pulled that kind of approach off without looking like Gob Bluth.

Just open your mouth. Seriously. American girls looove a British accent. You could look like Benny Hill and still kill it over here. I was watching an interview with Collin Farrell a while back, about when he first arrived here. He had no friends at all. He said he quickly met girls and groups of people simply asking (in his Irish accent, but with the same effect) “Any chance you could spare a cigarette?”. 9 out of 10 times they would ask “oh wow are you from Ireland?!” and it would proceed from…

Seconding this. Models was a game changer for me. Not only just for pickup, but for LPTs in general. It’s a much more authentic and organic system of approach, than say what various PUAs were doing in The Game.

I'll second this. You want to meet a lot people, and attract the ladies: photography. It gives you a great excuse to talk to people. And it can put you in a higher position socially; it's the 'guitarist' of the art world.

Learn to DJ. Find a local bar where they have DJs and then work your way up. You don’t even have to be the best DJ in the world. You will pull girls with ease and both girls and guys will want to pull you into their circle. Source: I was a 6-7 looks wise and socially awkward. Learned to DJ, overcame a lot of my social anxiety, and pulled girls left and right. Oh and had a lot of fun memorable nights and times.

What’s worked best for me is to approach the date with the frame of mind as if you were seeing one of your good friends you haven’t seen in a month. Relaxed, comfortable, engaged and a bit jovial. Hey man! What’s going on? How was your day? Now just swap out “man” for the girls name. I swear this has worked in de-stressing dates for me like 95% of the time (for both parties). In the rare 5% that look at you like you’re weird, it functions as a good shit test sorting out whose uptight and whose c…

This. I’m the living embodiment of OPs post (though have 2-3 cocktails socially a week). While I look and feel fucking awesome and I get plenty of compliments, however if I don’t make an effort to approach I get bupkis, nada. All the above discipline certainly makes it easier, but working on your confidence, game, rapport with women is equally important. Owning a Ferrari is awesome, but without an engine what’s the point?

Fencing, studying Japanese, going out more, watching quality movies and docs, reading. Was doing all this before, but I put more time and passion in to it now. Haven’t touched the XBox in over 2 years. Don’t even have a craving to. I don’t want to look back and think I could have done ______ more but instead I wasted an entire day playing Destiny 2.

I was a 7 in a medium sized city, and was probably a 6-7 when I moved to NYC. My game was horrible in the medium sized city, but I cleaned up in NYC. When I moved there I started DJing at a small trendy bar in an upcoming part of town. I wasn’t the greatest DJ in the world; my beat matching skills were poor, but I had a great selection of records, was really musically knowledgeable and I could read the crowd. Before long I was getting girl’s numbers left and right. Even other guys there were imp…

Haven't done either, but I have taken improv classes. As someone whose had speaking issues in the past, improv really taught me to not only vocalise better, but to think on my toes and develop rapport. Highly reccomend.

As someone who goes on and off with a beard, make sure it's trimmed. You want to look more like Nick Wooster and less like Al Qaeda fucked Santa Claus. Have a look at hipster beards on Pinterest. Lots of ladies love the trimmed beard.

45 yo here. Exercise and stay in shape. My weight has gone up and down over the years, and I can tell you that when you're in good shape the ladies DEFINITELY notice. You dont have to be ripped, but you shouldn't look like a doughy Seth Rogen either. Especially when you're my age, as 90% of the men out there have given up giving a shit how they look. You will stand out. Staying in shape also works wonders for confidence in general, not to mention it'll help you stay on top of your game in the be…

Boomers are more like 60-something now, but yes, watching him is like watching a Fox News comment board come to life. That said I was still kind of stunned at how he was able to not only shut them down, but shut them out completely. He was talking nonsense and I'd never vote for him, but wow, kind of blown away at how he was able to pull that off.

Don't be. I'm 45. I box, I fence, I run. If Liam Neeson can do that kinda shit so can I (and so can you!). RE: Fencing. There's various ways to approach the sport. Kids take it for fun or to potentially go pro. College students take it and compete. Older gents (aka me) take it for fun and sometimes competition. Don't get too self conscious about it, have fun.

Took up fencing a year ago, best decision ever. Met some new friends there (men and women) that also tend to be into other outgoing activities besides sitting around "watching the game" like my current circle is about. It's also a helluva workout and keeps your toes mentally as well.

Wow, feel like I'm reading about my exact same situation.( though I'm freelance, but bust my ass 9-5). Been trying to troubleshoot this exact problem; flakey friend behavior. Things that have helped so far: widening my friend circle, chilling with other overachievers (when both our scheds permit) as they tend to be a bit more sympathetic to hectic schedules. Hanging out with mutual outside interest friends i.e. Practicing fencing with other fencers in my class outdide of class then grabbing a be…
